Cardly Pros and Cons

We’ve been using Cardly for personalized birthday and thank-you cards at my Music School in Ontario, Canada, for a few years now and the experience has been exceptional!

The cards are so beautifully crafted and personal that recipients often think they were handwritten by us. Plus, the fact that people receive an actual physical card in their mailbox makes it even more special.

Recently, I needed support during a postal strike, and Cardly’s customer service exceeded all expectations. With a friendly Zoom meeting and a follow-up video, they not only answered my questions but went the extra mile to ensure our Christmas cards arrived on time despite the challenges.

I'm happy to say, we have not found any downsides to using Cardly. I am excited to hear that they are designing ways to be able to send personalized e-cards as well in case of future disruptions to postal services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The idea is great - reviving old school letters through the power of hand writing. The bulk of the UI is very intuitive, easy to navigate. Patrick himself is an amazing support and really hands on when you need help. The videos on YouTube are a further source of support. Data validation and confirmation process is very good. The zoom and edit text functionality takes a bit to get used to. Zooming in makes the template disappear below the fold on your screen. The return address functionality is also a bit tricky, adding in the field name (i.e. BLDG) along with the actual Building Name. This is an excellent platform for creating cards in mass to send to my employees. There is a great way to upload a personalized message for each recipient and have unique cards that are high quality and appear just like hand written notes.

Additionally, I had a little trouble getting started and their support was excellent. A support team member was in constant communication with me and even creating personalized help videos that were specific to my needs and my project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Cardly for years, and I couldn't be happier. Cardly lets you type your message, and they send it out as a beautifully handwritten card.

From the start, I was impressed by their quick and helpful customer support. They're always fast to respond and assist with any questions.

Many things are great about this company. I would say the top 3 are customer service ( great at communication, help, and follow ups), the ability to customize your cards in so many ways ( from doodles, to type, and more), and the ease to add a gift card from many top sites or companies. The only thing I would recommend which could be a little confusing for first time users is having a different name for the two areas, one that says "manage account" and "my account". I would expect these to be the same, but it opens a different area where it took me awhile to figure out how to get to my calendar, addresses, and more. Love their designs and service. Cardly does everything after input... printing and mailing. Even has actual stamps on the envelopes. With their simple backend setup, I'm able to quickly send dozens of client cards every month. You can upload a csv and my saved templates do the work!
