What do you like best about Cardboard?

It's inexpensive and I like that it supports android as well because that's what type of phone I have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cardboard?

Irs a flimsy design. It could be made with better quality and not sure why they're aren't any headstraps to hold it firmer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cardboard solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest truly is the design. There is no padding so it's not as comfortable. It's not ideal to use during most scenarios.

The benefits are the set up is quick at least. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cardboard?

These low cost VR Googles opened the walls of my classroom. We were able to travel to many different parts of the world and experience life, cultures, and change over time. The low cost of the product let us purchase enough headsets for each student in our class. As opposed to only being able to have 10-15 and share with a class of 30. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cardboard?

Its cardboard so it holds up ok. About the first few years I anticipate that we will need to replace them. Also we are very cautious of how we store the headsets, since they are cardboard and don't want them getting wet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cardboard solving and how is that benefiting you?

Access for all students instead of a few at a time. Students are more engaged in the activity when we can have enough access for all students. It allows me to show my inner city students the world, without this experience we wouldn't be able to show them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cardboard?

Cheap, easy to set up, no special hardware required. Good variety of content available through my smart phone / youtube, etc. I thought the very simple button was novel.

All in all i thought that the cardboard was fantastic at accomplishing what it set out to do - be an affordable gateway introduction into VR for the masses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cardboard?

Phone could easily fly out of the google cardboard - it was also extremely uncomfortable to use for longer than 5 minutes. Had to jerry rig a solution using fabric. Resolution was also quite bad, though this is to be expected with a product that cheap, and made of cardboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Cardboard:

Definitely recommend it as a first purchase for those whom are looking into Virtual Reality. It is an affordable easy to use first step.

Dont expect too much regarding the qualityt of the device, it is only 5$ afterall, however that said, there is much that can be done with the google cardboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cardboard solving and how is that benefiting you?

Initially was an introduction piece to VR, to help decide if it was worth purchasing a true VR headset. It peaked my interest enough for me to later purchase an Oculus Rift.

I attempted to use the Cardboard headset to validate some architectural 3D models, to verify the scale of my models. I had mixed results here, largely through problems with the app software not being powerful enough to properly view 3D files via an iphone 6. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cardboard?

Its SDK for Unity is almost a "just one click" implementation, it has everything you need to start working in the real experience for the user, and not being in pain by implementing tons of previous stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cardboard?

With many different alternatives for VR out there, it has become one of the most basic ones; this could be good, but sometimes comparing with other experiences it gets "short", so is difficult to create greater experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cardboard solving and how is that benefiting you?

The simple and quick implementation is perfect for fast prototyping, so you can have a basic look on your app/game without spending too much time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to use the camera to experience VR settings is amazing. Though it is a little clunky on the OS, I think it has good potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
