I mainly use Carbonite Safe to automatically back up my important files like documents, photos, and work-related data. It’s reassuring to know everything is safely stored and easy to recover if something goes wrong, like a crash or accidental deletion. I like knowing my data is backed up automatically and that I can easily get it back without a stressful recovery process. What I really like about Carbonite Safe is how easy and stress-free it is to use. After the initial setup, it just works quietly in the background, backing up everything automatically, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. I really enjoy how simple it is to restore files when needed. I dislike that Carbonite can sometimes "stop me" from deleting files right after downloading them. For example, if I download a zip file, unzip the file, save the files and want to delete files I don't need, it adds an additonal step - stop backing file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The dependability of this storage resource has been a professional life saver for me. The fact that it is constantly running in the background in the cloud gives me peace of mind and worth the annual subscription I've paid for quite a few years. Their updates often trigger the need to reinstall the software rather than being seamless. While it's not difficult to do, it's annoying to have to do it. They never send out a notice to update, and it's only when getting a notice that the backup hasn't occurred for a certain period of time do you then realize it needs to be reinstalled. Carbonite takes over the CPU and IO when it runs -- my computer becomes a "brick". Additionally -- lots of "subscription date" invalid errors which means the installation is hosed -- you need to delete carbonite, reinstall, and then do a backup -- this happened three times and my backup takes > 48 hours to run from a clean start. It stores data in organized way so you can easily access it anytime. It also offers free trial, so it helps you learn its basic for free. It always keeps auto backing up your files. It does not support on mac very well. It sometimes needs reinstallation and when there is a problem in it, it will automatically stop backing up your files anytime and you will lose your data backup for a week or more than that. Sometimes it takes a lot time while uploading large files. It is also expensive when you go for purchasing it depending on a size of your organization. Carbonite made it easy to design a backup plan specific to my hard drive configuration. It also suggested a smart backup that automatically backed up my desktop and my documents. It is also very simple to select files to back up on the fly. Additionally, I was able to select a time to back up files that did not interfere with my work schedule. It only backs up certain file types automatically. Then you have to manually go thru all the thousands of your files on your computer one by one, and use a 4-click (per file) option to add each individual file to the backup.
