**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CaptivateIQ has been a huge help to our company. It is extremely robust and flexible, and they are constantly coming out with improvements and with new features. The customer support is very quick and helpful. Our sales team uses it frequently to track their attainment.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

The only downsides were the implementation, we were paired with a group of 3 implementation specialists and still we had to do a bulk of the work ourselves. It was complicated for us because we had never implemented a software like that before and we felt the implementation team was doing the bare minimum and leaving us with a lot of homework. As a result we had to keep pushing back our go-live date.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us process our commissions on a timely basis. We went from quarterly to monthly because of this software.
We also provide visibility on attainment using the dashboard module.

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CaptivateIQ makes understanding your performance relative to your quotas simple.  It also provides a tracking summary of your month to date commissions earned.  Providing line items for varying commission rate items, kickers and monthly/yearly bonuses make this product very intuitive.  As a manager I can review my team member earnings and ensure they are promptly reviewing their commission payout statements for prompt payment processing.

Captivate also allows for easying digging at the opportunity level in understanding the commission rates assigned if needed.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Versus our prior solution to CaptivateIQ, I cannot think of anything that CaptivateIQ does that I dislike.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sales performance management:  CaptivateIQ allows for easy sales performance management by allowing for managers/admins to enter quotas.  Both the manager and the employee can see actual performance to these quotas.
Sales compensation:  I used to receive a number of complaints from my sales team members with the product we used prior to CaptivateIQ where they challenged their payouts.  This rarely happens now with CaptivateIQ and is usually more of a person's misunderstanding of the appropriate payment rate versus the fault of CaptivateIQ.  As a sales manager, I'm also compensated via commissions.  This program is easy to use and understand as a recipient/end user.

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CaptivateIQ has completely streamlined how we manage commissions. The platform is incredibly flexible — it handles complex compensation structures without a problem. I really appreciate the real-time visibility it gives to sales reps, which has helped build trust and reduce questions about payouts. The integrations with Salesforce and other systems work smoothly, and the overall UI is clean and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

The initial setup can take some time, especially if your comp plans are highly customized. But once things are configured, the system runs reliably and saves a ton of time each month.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to spend hours manually calculating commissions and fielding questions from reps. CaptivateIQ automated all of that. It’s helped us improve accuracy, reduce errors, and scale our processes as we grow. It’s also made it easier for our reps to track earnings, which keeps them focused and motivated.

CaptivateIQ has taken complicated commission reports and simplified it. Before I would be overwhelmed looking at statements and now with CaptivateIQ it is digestible and eliminated all the confusion. The platform is super user friendly with a dashboard that's easy to navigate and a snapshot of my data right there on the home page.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

As of this point, I have not had any issues and do not see a downside of this platform.

I don't have to sort through complicated reports, each line and column. Doing the math from this category to that one to figure out what my commission will be. It's clear and easy to understand.

I like how clear it is when showing me my commission and the break down. I didn't struggle to figure out what it was showing me and what I was receiving that month. It was easy. 

It is something I can trust and I only review close to the due date due to its clarity. I haven't had to use any customer support features yet but I am sure it is great!

I have nothing on the tip of my tongue to say here, so I won't.

In Few Cases limited customization is faced based on the Scale of Business operations which leads to flexibility when handling higher end compensations

The Pricing details and structure is not easy to understand and hence it creates complexity  for organization to decide on purchase decisions

CIQ is very flexible and able to help process comp for any comp structure I can think of.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

The only things I really have hesitation on are, documentation and their new user interface they are trying to push out.  Regarding documentation, a lot of times I can't find what I'm looking for, and when I do, it's often based on older versions of their platform so it doesn't quite help for the situation I'm trying to solve for.  On the UI situation, I don't quite understand the need for the extra column on the left side.  I already have a lot of worksheet in my comp plans so this just pushes them to the right and requires a lot more scrolling which is very annoying.

Automating the sales incentive compensation calculations for our sales team.

The forecasting of future commission and bonus statements based on real time performance.  Very easy to use and very easy to see what I've already earned vs. what is still due to be paid.

There are no links in CaptivateIQ back to our SFDC instance to connect the opportunities we're paid on directly.

We previously used a manually edited spreadsheet owned by our Finance team to determine our commission statements and payouts.  It was like reading another language without and help translating.

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CIQ is incredibly easy to customize to fit our everchanging commission plans. Once you are familiar with the platform implementing changes is very intuitive, and the support team is amazing anytime I have technical questions. Outside of changes to our plans, the software just works and does not require frequent modifications or maintenance.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I wish CIQ had more off the shelf reporting capabilities. The report builder is functional, but small changes to plans can easily break reports. I also wish comp plans were more streamlined, the integration with DocuSign is helpful but ultimately a little clunky.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest challenges in managing commissions is the inevitability of constant changes to comp plan structure. Captivate has enabled us to focus on strategic changes to comp structure without worrying about whether a change is mechanically feasible.

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

At my previous company, I had very little insight into my commission. It was hard to know if I was getting paid as I should, and when I found mistakes, it created a lot of distrust towards the company.

With CaptivateIQ, I can be sure my commission is 100% accurate. I can see which accounts have closed won/closed lost and see the bonuses I've earned each quarter. I trust my current company more and feel better knowing what my future commission checks will be.

Nothing, it's super helpful. I appreciate having it.

You can also see performance metrics in the dashboard and have the ability to add SPIFs etc additional incentives that we add on. I use it on a regular basis to see where I am with my commission and quota

Easy to take in data and structure it the way we need to calculate commissions. Great data visualizations and intuitive structure makes it easy to use with basic knowledge of how data joins work. Great modeling experience as it is easy to understand the formulas and functions that can be used to create your model.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Bit of a hurdle with understanding reporting and the ability to mainly use only payout data is limiting in using the tool for forecasting

I love getting to use CaptivateIQ because of how easy and simple it is. I can easily audit my commissions and see how much I made from the month.

It would be nice to see where my escalations are going and if they have been sent to my team. It feels like they go to an abyss.

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

We have a complex commission structure with different base rates for SaaS and Ads paid upfront and Ads paid in arrears. CapIQ gives me a breakdown of everything that is being paid, waiting to be paid, and why. I love how CapIQ allows me to submit inquiries directly to my comp team if I have questions or if I notice errors with anything. I also like how CapIQ allows me to download a spreadsheet with the data and gives me charts to see how far away I am from hitting quota.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I wish there was a good way to track changes in CapIQ. I receive an email when the commission statement is first published, but our comp team might still make changes before the payments are actually sent. When I notice that the payout went up or down, it is a lot of work to dig into what changed. It would be great to have a word-processing type "track changes" way to see what entries were added or removed from the report, or what values changed.

Captivate IQ allows our team to have transparency for how we are getting paid and accountability to our sales commission team for paying us according to our comp plans.

It’s straightforward. I use CaptivateIQ to review monthly commission statements, and the platform makes it easy to see how everything was calculated. The interface is clean, and the breakdowns are generally clear. I like being able to view line items and adjustments without having to email finance back and forth.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

It’s not the most exciting tool in the world — but it doesn’t need to be. Occasionally, some of the terminology can feel a little too finance-heavy, depending on how your company configures it. But overall, no major complaints.

It cuts down on the back-and-forth with finance and gives me a central place to track commission payouts. It brings transparency and saves time compared to trying to piece it together from spreadsheets or email threads.

It updates in real-time, which is a huge motivator throughout the month. I check it often, probably too often, but it genuinely helps me stay focused and competitive.

here are moments where it feels like the logic behind the calculations is a bit complex, sometimes I still have to ask for clarification on how a specific bonus is applied.

I have full visibility into how my commission is calculated, what’s been approved, and what I’m on track to earn. That level of transparency has been a big benefit,  it builds more trust in the process and lets me focus on selling instead of second-guessing my paycheck. It also helps me be more strategic throughout the month because I can see exactly what I need to close to hit the next tier or bonus.

The best thing about Captivate IQ is everything is easily accessible and getting internal support is streamlined. I can see deals that are closed won and how much commission they pay. I can see what my accelerators look like and where I am currently at with quota.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with CaptivateIQ or that I just need to be more patient. Just moved an opp to closed won in Salesforce yesterday and it is still not showing up in CaptivateIQ.

Captivate IQ's ease of use and ease of implementation are astounding.  I've used other comp tools in the past, and this product is much more efficient from a developer/admin perspective.  Customer support has also been top notch.

The only downside i've seen so far is the lack of integration with Microsoft products....it would definitely help us out with reporting.

Captivate IQ is a flexible tool that suits my company's needs. With an ever evolving environment, Captivate IQ is capable of growing with us without the growing pains. 
It delivers timely and accurate results.

With the tools adaptability to your organization changes it offers many solutions and reporting capabilities to provide visuals and dashboards for easy review.

At first, I had issues with plan documents feature, but the newer feature global attributes helps replace using data tables. There is no total flexibility in the Document Data Tables you create.

My major dislike is once comp plans are completed there is not a way to export a table of just that data to use as a feed for comp plans. I feel there is way more room for improvement here.

CaptivateIQ solves compensation calculation times and delivers it accurately. We also have transparency with Reps, and provide them with the ability to self serve which creates trust.

This has saved us countless hours compared to the spreadsheet nightmares of the past. There is a learning curve to CaptivateIQ, which is tougher, but their support is good.

I was introduced to CaptivateIQ at my current company to see and manage my  payouts. Since, this is my first sales role, where the commissions are depended on company performance, quota, and other factors, it can be hard to know if the payout one is receiving is accurate or not. CaptivateIQ has helped me a lot in understand the details of each payout to the granular level and that's something I really like about it.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

There is no definitions section in CaptivateIQ. For someone like me who comes from non-sales background, I had to google each and every term I saw in CaptivateIQ. This of course can be handled outside CaptivateIQ and by my organization but having this feature would have been a huge plus so I didn't have to look up each term outside the platform.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What I heard from my manager is that CaptivateIQ has made the Sales Leaderships lives easier. They have automated sales compensation to an extent that they don't have to have manual checks in place, less prone to human calculation errors. 
The benefits me by assuring me that the payout CaptivateIQ has calculated is accurate and there's a very low chance that there's an error in it.
