I don't like that every student requires a license, even if they drop out mid-way. This ends up becoming very expensive. I also find it frustrating that Canvas Studio, which is supposed to be great, costs a lot extra. Canvas is an amazing LMS. I have been using it for over 10 years now and I highly recommend it. It allows my students to do everything in one location. I can always add projects, files and grade assignments and transfer grades to Powerschool. Some of the recently introduced tools, like the new quiz tool and the updated discussion tool, seem to be third-party integrations rather than native features of Canvas. I find the new quiz tool more difficult to review, and it also appears to have some accessibility concerns. Also lacks a native search features, you have to get an expensive third party tools that integrates in canvas to do that. Also should make language attributions easy for faculty to avoid fiddling in the html editor.
