## Canto Reviews
 ### 1. Our adoption and usage of Canto continues to grow even with technophobes on our teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ann M. F. | Digital Asset Management and Licensing Resource, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Canto?**

We’ve been with Canto for about 18 months, and our adoption and use cases continue to grow. Our first portal helped engage new users who were hesitant about using this DAM (and our previous one). We also implemented watermarks, which our clients, teams, and legal counsel really appreciate—and they are so easy to set up. We’re continuing to learn more about this powerful system and its features as we go. We love our team and are really glad we made the move.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Our implementation took much longer than we were advised in the initial vetting. In many cases this was because key staff were not available or didn't understand the needs (even though outlined in our initial outline)
There is almost TOO much to learn and utilize.
The support documentation can be challenging, especially if you aren't familiar with DAM systems
One critical factor for us with a DAM is managing use and expirations and Canto does this but it is a bit more challenging than in our prior system

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff can review assets and share them in many formats. We can manage licensing without relying on other types of tracking, and we can convert assets without needing additional staff. We’re also able to limit access to historical assets at a lower cost, while still storing assets and data in one place as a single source of truth for approved assets. Overall, it’s easy to share assets both internally and externally, and to track sharing when needed.

 ### 2. Centralized Asset Hub with Seamless Canva Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate H. | Director of Content Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like using Canto to centralize all our photo media assets, making it a convenient hub for our marketing team and others in our company. I appreciate the integration with Canva, which enhances my workflow processes. The ability to create small galleries using custom links is also valuable as it allows me to share reference images or selects with people, making it easier for those often looking for something specific.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I think the new library still feels like a work in progress. It is a good improvement, but with any large new update there is a learning curve while also some aspects like search and structure seem to still have some bugs at times. Sometimes previews jump out of order as I scroll through my galleries and the results that are sourced in a search may highlight older images first.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto to centralize our photo media assets, making it a hub for both marketing and the entire company to access. It enhances workflow by enabling easy sharing of reference images and integrates well with Canva.

 ### 3. Efficient Asset Management with Intuitive Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelique B. | Content Manager/Digital Librarian, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I use Canto to house, organize, and share assets for a nonprofit organization. I like how Canto has made it much easier to keep track of assets and relate them to each other, especially when revisions are needed. Replacing an old version of a file with a new one is very straightforward. The speed at which I can find content by tagging assets and using the filtering tool has been very helpful. I like the ability to share assets and relate them as well. The Canto plus WordPress integration is particularly valuable to me because it automatically adds new versions to WordPress when updated in Canto, saving a great deal of time. The initial setup was easy, and the tutorials before launch were very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I would like to be able to have an additional field within the filter section that would allow me to select 'not related'. I deal with thousands of files, and each file has at least one file that it is related to. If I miss relating some files, it would be nice to use a filter to find the files that have not been given relationships instead of having to sift through so many assets. It would also be nice to see if a share link has been created for a file when looking at the file's information page. I would also like a more user-friendly tool for the creation of portals. The portal creator is not intuitive. It takes me a while to figure out what I am doing.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto makes it easier to track and relate assets, and quickly find content with tagging and filtering. It saves time by automatically updating WordPress with new file versions. Sharing and organizing assets are streamlined, helping with revisions and organization.

 ### 4. All Our Brand Resources in One Organized, User-Friendly Place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsey S. | Digital Content Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like that all of the resources I need for my company's brand can be found in one place. It is organized neatly and is very user friendly. The performance is always good and efficient, and I haven't had any issues in my time using it.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

The content on Canto is sometimes outdated, making it hard for me to use in my newer projects. I also know some team members have had trouble getting started with the site, though I haven't had that experience.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto, for me, is solving the problem of needing cross-college content that I don't always have access to or resources to gather myself. It has saved me time when trying to find images and lockups for brand visuals and marketing collateral.

 ### 5. Helps Keep Project Files Organized Without Wasting Time Searching

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VINAY P. | Mechanical Design Engineer, Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

In my work, we deal with a lot of files related to project documentation, images, and reference materials, and Canto has helped keep all of that in one place. What I find most useful is how quickly I can locate a file when needed, instead of going through multiple folders or asking others. For example, when I need a specific reference during a discussion, I can search and access it immediately without interrupting the flow of work. It also helps in sharing files with team members without repeatedly sending attachments, which saves time during regular coordination.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

While Canto is highly efficient overall, there are a few areas where it could improve. At times, the initial setup and customization of metadata or taxonomy can feel slightly time-consuming, especially for new users without prior DAM experience.
One thing I’ve noticed is that organizing files properly requires some initial effort. If assets are not tagged or structured well from the beginning, it can become slightly difficult to maintain consistency later. Also, for new users, understanding how to organize and categorize files effectively may take a little time.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier, files were scattered across local systems and shared drives, which made it difficult to find the latest version of a document or asset. This often led to delays during discussions or rework due to using outdated files. With Canto, everything is stored in a more structured way, which reduces confusion and saves time when accessing or sharing files. In my daily work, this has improved efficiency because I can quickly retrieve what I need and focus more on the task instead of searching or verifying files repeatedly.

 ### 6. Canto Portals Make Content Sharing Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

What I like best about Canto is the "Portals" feature, which makes sharing our content incredibly simple. Instead of making people dig through messy folders or giving external vendors full access to our system, we can just build a quick, curated collection of files for them.

The UI/UX is clean and straightforward, and the integrations with Adobe Creative Cloud mean our design team never has to waste time jumping between apps to sync their work. It has great performance with zero lag, giving us a massive ROI on saved time. An unexpected bonus is the automatic version control, which guarantees nobody accidentally uses an outdated logo.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

The biggest downside is the pricing structure and the initial setup time. Canto can get pretty expensive for smaller teams, and some of the cooler features or extra user seats require pricey add-ons. Also, getting everything organized at the beginning takes a lot of manual work. While the AI auto-tagging helps speed things up, we still had to spend a lot of time cleaning up tags manually during onboarding to make sure our search system worked perfectly.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with securely sending large files to outside partners, often relying on email attachments or expiring download links that slowed everyone down. Now, we can instantly share assets securely, which has resulted in faster project turnaround times and a much better experience for our clients.

 ### 7. Great Permission Controls, but Share Link Reporting Needs More Detail

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like having the ability to organize our assets on a portal that can be customized to be internal-facing or customer-facing. We provide assets to both our internal teams and also external, and having the option to hide or offer specific groups of assets in our library is key.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I would like to be able to send a file path link versus a share link to some of our internal users as they can sometimes use assistance in locating new assets and the only way is to offer a share link as of now.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto is allowing for our photo, video and presentation assets that our sales team utilizes on the daily. It provides a controlled view of our asset library and reduces the amount of times they need to reach out to our marketing team for specific assets. This saves us a ton of time and streamlines the workflow for both teams. The AI feature also allows them to search through our library using keywords and the smart tagging feature helps us not have to be so specific when tagging manually.

 ### 8. Intuitive Main Library, Easy Search, and Strong Onboarding Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

Layout when you are in the main library, general intuitiveness of the platform, easy accessability for those who aren't power users, ease of search, and support with onboarding! is that too many things?

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I think there are some UX features that could be better. I find that when I am working in it things are really good and go really really well until I hit a wall that feels like it should be more simple to overcome. a good example is portals. They are great and easy to set up, but customizing is super hard

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we came to canto because we had an issue where all of our assets were in different places and it was difficult for the wider org outside of our team to access them. Cantos integrations with all of our orignal photo hosting platforms has solved that problem perfectly while providing extra helpful features that we didn't think we needed!

 ### 9. Best DAM Software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Layla T. | Multimedia Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Canto?**

The organization options of assets, the sharing features, and we love the portals! Such a fantastic way to share specific assets internally and externally.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

It would be helpful to be able to have a selection option for folders/albums in the folder tree without actually opening the folder/album itself.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For Brand Asset Management, we're able to share our brand guidelines both internally and externally and monitor access to certain features using the Asset Request feature. For Digital Asset Management, we're able to share a selection of photos either (privately) through a share link or more publicly through a portal. The portals particularly house our best imagery for student recruitment so that internal and external partners can access them.

 ### 10. Streamlined Asset Management with Intuitive AI Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allison L. | Brand Asset Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I really like how user-friendly Canto is. There are so many little ways to organize information using different tags and keywords, which is really helpful. I like the AI features; they are definitely helpful in today's day and age with DAM management. Canto's AI facial recognition is fantastic, especially for a large healthcare system like ours with over 13,000 employees. It significantly cuts out a lot of guesswork in organizing photos. I find the AI features intuitive and super helpful for my job, making it a lot easier for me and our clients. I'm really happy that our company chose this platform, and I think it's a great product. I absolutely love the AI capabilities, and these are some of the things that really stand out to me. Also, the Canto team has been really supportive, which has made everything pretty smooth.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I think Canto has maybe a little too many options for certain things; there's a lot of different boxes that you can check, and some things are redundant. There's just so many little nuanced options, and things can sometimes get a little confusing. Overall it's a lot of trial and error to see what we can figure out that works the best for me and my team.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto helps us organize and manage assets, making it easier for our team and clients to find things quickly. The AI facial recognition and tagging features reduce guesswork, and its user-friendly structure improves our asset management efficiency.

 ### 11. AI-Powered Image Management with Room for Customization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stavra K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I really appreciate Canto's ability to help me organize images, track approvals, and record associated metadata effortlessly. Its AI-enabled search feature is truly impressive and has significantly enhanced its capabilities. It's incredibly effective in finding the right assets, even when dealing with a large library and using complex clinical terminology. This accuracy is critical, especially since the images I manage are often technical and clinical. Canto's highly accurate results, even with nuanced clinical terms, have been a game-changer. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, which made the transition seamless.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

We have multiple teams sharing our Canto instance. The way libraries are structured means that we have to share metadata fields, rather than being able to customize at the library level. There are workarounds, but it would be nice if, for instance, when one team wants to make a certain metadata field required on upload, we didn't all have to follow that one team's rule.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto helps me organize images, track approvals, and record metadata. The AI-enabled search is incredibly effective at finding the right assets from a large library using clinical terminology.

 ### 12. Effortlessly Manages Assets with Minor Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I really like using Canto for asset management because it keeps all of my company's images and graphics organized with the correct metadata. It's easy to search for filenames and projects, and creating custom galleries to share with my team is a breeze. The user-friendly interface makes uploading, downloading, and editing metadata to files effortless. In my line of work, we handle hundreds of images per day, and Canto's metadata capabilities make everything searchable and manageable. It's an essential tool that simplifies finding and organizing files, making any other way of working seem impossible. I also heard that setting up Canto was relatively easy for such a large volume of assets, which adds to its appeal.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Sometimes thumbnails don't update quickly, which can cause some confusion when looking for a specific file or confirming that an edit was made to a file. There is also a pop-up thumbnail preview that can be annoying. It would be great to be able to turn that on and off at the user level.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto organizes my company's images with correct metadata, making filenames and projects easy to search. I can create custom galleries to share, which is very easy. Canto streamlines uploading and downloading, essential given our daily volume of images.

**Official Response from Reagan Cola:**

> Thanks for sharing your experience! We’re happy to hear that Canto’s ease of use and custom upload links are helping your team stay organized. We appreciate your note about the pop-up menu, while there isn’t a way to disable it just yet, we’ve passed your feedback on to our product team. If you want, your account manager can also provide some tips on managing that feature.

Thanks for being part of the Canto community! - Reagan

 ### 13. Efficient Media Sharing with Some UI Hiccups

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel M. | Website Administrator, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I love how Canto helps share quality images in a structured and organized way. The organization feature stands out as one of my favorites, making it easier to manage media effectively. I also really appreciate the presets for downloading images, which I find very useful because they allow me to download an image with a specific size and aspect ratio, saving me time. This efficiency lets me focus on other aspects of work, like different portions of our website. Overall, Canto is a pretty solid solution for these needs.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

When an image is open for download, and you close it to return to the previous library search, the page refreshes, and you end up at the top of the image library again. It's a really bad UI experience. Also, even with fast internet, scrolling through the library feels clunky and slow. The classic and new library views aren't much different, and it shouldn't be an option to navigate back and forth between them.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto lets us share high-quality images in an organized way. It saves me time, allowing me to focus on other parts of our website. The presets for downloading images in specific sizes are really useful.

 ### 14. AI-Powered Visual Search Transforms Asset Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach W. | Videography and Editing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I think the AI visual search in Canto is really a game changer for us. To be able to use natural language to locate a specific photo, video, or piece of text dramatically speeds up our processes. I don't have to preview every asset in a folder to find the best one. I can use the natural language search to quickly sort assets by the best match. The support team, especially the implementation team, has been very useful and able to answer any questions or at least go back and find the answer for us quickly.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

It's difficult to find an organizational structure that makes it easy for folks with different roles to quick sort through only what they need and not be overwhelmed by the large amount of material available.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto to manage our photo and video assets, ensuring we find the right ones quickly with its AI search and filtering, solving issues of time, overlooking assets, and reliance on institutional knowledge.

 ### 15. Intuitive and Customizable with Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claire M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I find Canto to be intuitive, with fully customizable features that cater to users' preferences. I like the Canto Help Center because it answers most of my problems, and if I need to submit a ticket, the team is responsive and offers help. The help center does a good job of solving simple to intermediate problems, and its guides are well-made, allowing me to find answers without needing to contact a representative. The initial setup was very easy, with the help center and the client management team doing a great job.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I tried the new library and don't like it as much. I think it tried to over-modernize and tried to over-consolidate features. I don't mind seeing more buttons or features on the screen, that allows me to know what are available. I spend more time looking around the new library for what I need than I do actually working.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto helps onboard multiple brands across my company, giving all employees platform access. The Canto Help Center handles simple-intermediate problem solving effectively, reducing the need to contact representatives.

 ### 16. Powerful, Well-Designed, AI-Powered DAM with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

As a digital asset management system, it is incredibly powerful, well built and well designed. From facial recognition to organization to the pricing structure and options, it fully meets the needs of my team.

Beyond that, though, the Canto support team, account managers, and back-end folks are incredible. This is an organization and a platform that is constantly improving for the sake of its clients. Every time I have reached out with questions or suggestions, Canto has provided the absolute best customer service experience for workplace software that have encountered.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

As a K-12 school, we would love a more simple and streamlined way to allow teachers to easily upload and organize content, yearbook staff to have access to the content they need, and parents to be able to easily, safely, and securely see photos of their children -- while respecting the permissions of all students. We have worked with Canto to create workarounds for a lot of this, as much of it is possible, but would love a simple fulsome way to achieve this, while recognizing the limitations of privacy for our families.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The facial recognition is unbelievably helpful in a large school community that has more than 100 students with restrictive no photo permissions from their parents (external and internal). It allows our marketing and communications team to easily scan photos and determine whether it is usable for our purposes, given the students in the photo.

 ### 17. Centralized Asset Hub with Amazing AI, Needs UI Update

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I love Canto's facial recognition, it's amazing for picking a person or a model we like and quickly filtering to all those assets that person is in. The AI search is unbelievable and saves a ton of time. The user experience is fantastic and makes it much easier to have everything in one place, helping to see the aspect ratios of the images with everything connected. Additionally, the initial setup of Canto was very easy and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I think the UI could be done a little better. It feels a bit old school on the back end. The portal design feels very basic and limited as well. Connecting to external links from the portal is not intuitive but can be done with practice.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto to centralize all our videos, images, and promotional assets, avoiding disjointed systems. The AI search and facial recognition make it easy to find specific assets, saving time. The user experience is great, keeping everything connected and easy to access.

 ### 18. Canto is excellent for organizing photography

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam F. | Digital Media Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Canto?**

Love the ability to keyword and tag all of our photography, then search through thousands of photos quickly and easily. Also the ability to select a few photos and make a link to just those photos that I can send to people is something I use almost every day. The facial recognition is outstanding - it makes it so easy to track down a specific person in thousands of photos.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I love using the platform that we have access to, but it seems that any updates or improvements are all behind paywalls. I've been invited many times to webinars on exciting new features only to find out at the end that it's going to cost us more money. It would be nice if some of those features were also provided to legacy users.

**Recommendations to others considering Canto:**

We use this product every day and the search functionality and image tagging has been a game changer for us, but I think the support has been the best thing. Quick, accurate responses to any problems we have.

We've had a fantastic overall experience and use it across multiple departments to store and share 10s of thousands of assets.

However, Sometimes the quality of the preview photo on Canto can be less than the photo actually is, meaning that you arent quite sure if a photo is slightly blurry or not until you download it.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my job so much easier than if I just had to search through hard drives and remember where everything was like I used to. It's also easy to use for other team members, so with a very small amount of training anyone is able to use it and it really cuts down on requests for photos coming to me as people can do it themselves.

 ### 19. Streamlined Asset Management, Needs AI Refinement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elijah H. | Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I use Canto as a digital asset manager to store thousands of photo assets. I like that it puts all of our photos into one, easily accessible space. It allows us to create view and download-only portfolios so that other people within our organization can access and download photos without having to be full administrators. The ability to tag photos with keywords and reliably search those keywords to get correct results is great. Other platforms had tagging abilities that didn’t work properly when searched, so Canto's consistent organization through tagging is a big help. It's a reliable way to sort and arrange photos by type, content, and use, which is especially valuable given we have thousands of images uploaded by various people.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

The AI search function still leaves something to be desired. I like the idea of being able to search for 'a person with a red backpack' but in reality, it seldom actually functions well in that use. It just needs more reliable, relevant results. When I search for 'a person in a red backpack' I need only images to come up that include red backpacks - in reality, this is never the case. I am better off searching through with our manually input keywords and searching manually for images with red backpacks. The initial setup was a little rough and clunky with multiple issues getting permissions to work correctly for our different administrators on the account.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto centralizes our photos into one space, making them easily accessible. It allows for portfolio sharing without full admin access and reliable keyword tagging for sorting and searching thousands of photos. This consistency is valuable across multiple users.

 ### 20. Great Digital Asset Management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler R. | Sr. Communications Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Canto?**

After years of getting by with a server-based media drive, switching to a cloud-based digital media storage solution has been a huge boost to our efficiency. Even the search feature on its own has saved us days’ worth of productivity, making it much easier to find what we need without wasting time digging through folders.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Canto can occasionally be slow to load, but this is a minimal concern. It is hard to find anything that is not to like about this tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Canto:**

Consider your storage needs and how often you share digital assets externally (with partners, consultants, etc). That latter feature has been a surprise benefit to us.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a media archive—mostly photos, with some video—that stretches back a decade, spans multiple geographies, and is of very mixed quality: some professional-grade images, others crude point-and-shoot shots. Finding high-quality images was always a hassle. Canto’s searchable database, thumbnail interface, album features, and ability to share content externally have all been a boon to our communications and marketing efforts.

 ### 21. Intuitive Asset Management, Needs Android App

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabella D. | Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like how easy it is to organize and tag our assets in Canto, making the experience intuitive for people who are tech-savvy and those who aren't. Asset distribution and tracking work really well, especially since we're able to track what is being downloaded and used and what's not. The platform helps everything be easily organized, especially when I need to add multiple assets at once, and the mass tags facilitate asset storage. The initial setup of Canto was very easy for me and my team.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I think one thing that can be improved is the tracking report. I think there's an opportunity to make it more detailed and thorough. Another thing that can be improved is the lack of an Android app.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto to distribute assets to our sales team effectively, improving brand compliance. It's a one-stop-shop for approved marketing assets and makes organizing and tagging intuitive. Asset distribution and tracking work well, but the tracking report could be more detailed.

 ### 22. Powerful, Easy-to-Use DAM with Fast AI Search

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kara d. | Administrative Director of Executive Initiatives, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

Overall, I love Canto and its functionality. The design, capabilities, and features are a great fit for our needs, as well as for our team members and clients. I especially love the AI capability that lets me search for a photo based on characteristics and descriptions, and I really appreciate the quick turnaround time on searches. As part of the admin team, I also get a back-end view of the interface, and I value how simple it is to use and how easy it is to teach others to self-serve what they need.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

So far I haven't experienced any downsides; however, we are new to Canto. I think the one component I'd love to see is better integration to Canva.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multiple contract agencies who do work for us from a production perspective - both asset creation, brand development, and photography/videography. We also have an internal team who does some of this work. It was a challenge to know where assets were, who owned them, how to transfer them, use them, what the copyrights were, and more...so Canto has really come in and helped us streamline this which has been amazing.

 ### 23. Still loving Canto, nearly a year in.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kara S. | Communications Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Canto?**

My absolute favorite thing about Canto is the facial recognition. Trying to find lots of photos of a particular person in our old DAM was excruciating because my predecessors never tagged people. So I would have to try and guess what events they might of attended. Now, something that might have taken me one to two hours in our old DAM takes me less than a minute in Canto. I only have to identify the person once, and I can find every single image of them. The facial recognition is top notch. I haven't had any false positives yet.

The search is also much more robust. Someone sent me a screenshot of a picture from our old DAM, and asked if I could help her find the original. It was a drawing of a face, so I just typed in, "face drawing" in Canto and found it immediately. It would have been a nightmare to find it before without the file name.

The Canto platform is very intuitive, and we have been able to implement it seamlessly with our current processes. Our implementation manager has been stellar to work with. She has vast knowledge to draw from in supporting customers, and that has made things so much easier for us.

There are a couple of us who need to use Canto incredibly frequently, and it is actually fun to use compared to our last platform. I was telling a friend about Canto, and she said, "A look of pure joy just crossed your face." That seems accurate. Canto has made our work easier in so many ways!

UPDATE: Now that I have been using Canto for nearly a year, I want to say that I still love it just as much as I did when we first got it. The other power. user of Canto on my team left last summer, so I am in charge of making sure everything gets uploaded and correctly identified. But even now that it is a one-person job, I find it so much more user friendly and easier in Canto. I still want to go back and correct as much pre-Canto photo information as I can, but future me is going to have a much easier time accessing the photos and details they need.

It is easy to get support when I need it, but I honestly don't need it that often.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Honestly, it is hard to think of any downsides. We had a glitch with a couple of duplicate folders during the migration, and that was basically it.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding assets is so much easier in Canto. It's easier to have things in multiple albums without duplicate images. It is saving us so much time and effort. It also makes it very easy to make the DAM more usable for future users.

 ### 24. Simplified Asset Management with a User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like how Canto makes it easy to store assets and distribute them to our branches, which keeps everything organized. I find the uploads easy and appreciate the user-friendly interface that makes navigation simple for our users. The learning curve of the interface is easy, and users quickly adapt to it, which is great especially since we have multiple branches to support. Canto provides a single place for all assets, making it convenient for users.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Sometimes the search feature is a bit glitchy and upload links don't always forward all uploads to the chosen folder. It seems like the search is sometimes case sensitive and other times it's not.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto makes it easy to store and distribute assets, keeping everything organized. With multiple branches, users can quickly adapt to the intuitive interface, making asset access seamless.

 ### 25. Exceptional DAM with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alivia P. | Senior Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I use Canto as our digital asset management system, and it has been a huge upgrade for how we organize, manage, and share marketing and sales assets — both internally and with external partners. Compared to our previous platform (Brandfolder), Canto has been significantly better in terms of cost, functionality, and overall customer experience. The initial setup process was thorough, well-guided, and easy to follow, which made onboarding smooth. I’ve already recommended Canto to outside partners and would absolutely continue to do so!

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

There's quite a few tools I don't use, perhaps explaining how they can benefit my work would improve how often I use them.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto to organize and share marketing and sales assets easily. It simplifies finding assets with AI search and tagging, and I love creating media kits quickly. The clean interface, customer support, and integrations enhance the overall experience.

 ### 26. Effortless Photo Organization with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Astrid V.

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like Canto for its ease of use, making it straightforward to organize and find photography content. I really appreciate the ability to share specific folder links, which is especially useful for sharing large amounts of photos. I also love the collaboration features that allow multiple people to work together seamlessly. Additionally, the tools and tagging capabilities are great for finding archived content easily.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Sometimes the search terms are not very accurate. It comes down to identifying what is shown in each photo better. The initial setup was a lot of work, with long loading times.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto for organizing photography. It lets us categorize and share large amounts of photos easily. I appreciate its ease of use and the ability to share specific folder links and collaborate with multiple people.

 ### 27. User-Friendly DAM Backed by Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Griselda P. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

How intuitive the platform is once it’s set up. While implementation does take some time, the interface itself is easy to navigate and makes managing and finding assets straightforward. What really stands out is the customer service—they’re responsive, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the setup process and beyond. Having a supportive team makes a big difference, especially during onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

It relies heavily on having strong metadata set up. If metadata isn’t planned and maintained well, it can impact how easy assets are to find and manage. This means extra upfront effort and ongoing discipline to get the most value out of the platform.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto centralizes all our digital assets in one searchable place, which makes it much easier to find, share, and organize content. It improves team collaboration and ensures everyone is using the correct, up-to-date files—reducing duplicate work and confusion.

 ### 28. Customizable Features with a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abby B. | Digital Media Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like that Canto has so many customizable features. These features provide us with options and labels, which help better organize photos when trying to find them for marketing purposes.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I think it isn't always the most user-friendly DAM to learn. The tagging system isn't the best. Having to make sure words are capitalized or all lowercase is hard and it will create multiple tags which makes it hard to search.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto for storing, sharing, organizing, and distributing photos, helping my team with search and marketing tasks.

 ### 29. Streamlined Media Management, Minor Upload Glitches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth J. | Business Manager/Director of Business & Administration

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I appreciate Canto for how it helps us store and share photography from events and marketing shoots on campus. The facial recognition and quick searches are invaluable for our Marketing and Communications staff. What I like most is the ease of use and the organization framework. Uploading into albums is a breeze, and we received good support from the Canto team during setup, even though it took some time to configure it in a way that was most useful for us.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Glitches do happen occasionally when uploading, and photos, even though all are selected, don't always appear in the album and need a second attempt.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto to store and share photography. Its facial recognition and quick searches are valuable for our Marketing staff.

 ### 30. A Wonderful Way to Organize and Share Photos with Our Community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheena M. | Chief Communications Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

Canto has been a wonderful way for us to organize our photos and share them easily with our community, so they can help themselves when sourcing images from specific events or for broader themes.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Canto has been a really solid product for our needs. It does take a fair amount of staff time to enter and maintain metadata, but that would be the case with any DAM software.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto has made it easy for us to share photos with our community members and, in turn, empower them to access those photos without taking up staff time from my team. The metadata tagging and facial recognition features have been especially helpful for sorting through tens of thousands of photos and quickly finding exactly what we need—and who we need.

 ### 31. Excellent Folder & Album Organization with Smart AI Search and Tagging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I really like the folder and album organization, especially when it’s paired with the AI search and tagging. That combination works really well for our organization and makes it much easier to keep everything neatly organized and easy to find.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

The Adobe integration, which we initially expected would benefit our teams, has turned out to be less useful than we thought, and our team isn’t using it very much.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our still assets were spread across many platforms and shared through even more channels. Canto has allowed us to centralize those still assets and share them through a single platform. The speed at which we can find what we need has saved our teams many hours.

 ### 32. Seamless File Management with Canto

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve G. | Digital Asset Manager and Photo Retoucher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like the ease of use of Canto and the overall UI experience. It's great because other team members can quickly join in without having to learn a bunch of new steps. Canto helps avoid duplicate files and makes sharing files easier for collaboration. The initial setup was very easy actually.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Not a huge fan of the new library look. Mainly because i can no longer custom sort my folder tree

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto to avoid duplicate files and make sharing easier for collaboration.

 ### 33. Effortless Asset Management with Quick Search

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Makayla B. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I use Canto for organizing and storing assets for my job, and I like that it helps with searching as it is very quick and keeps things organized. I like that it is user friendly and intuitive. I probably use the duplicate check right now the most because I am bulk importing from another place. Also, when I experienced a bug with the duplicate check, the support was very prompt in solving the issue.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

just some bugs here and there. I had a bug with the duplicate check but support is working on it and was very prompt with solving the issue.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto helps with quickly searching and keeping things organized, making asset management more efficient.

 ### 34. Smart design, easy to use, very helpful product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff A. | Chief Marketing Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Canto?**

Canto has been great for organizing and backing up my growing library of video content. Being able to search for, preview, and download my clips from anywhere has been extremely helpful when creating content on the go. The setup process was pretty simple, and I was uploading content within a matter of hours.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

There are a number of features that I have not delved into yet because they just don't fit my organization's needs in our current state.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to view and download my content on the fly, without having to open up a laptop and insert an external hard drive. Previously, I was not backing up videos to the cloud, so it is a good safety net to have underneath.

**Official Response from Julie Neumeister:**

> Hi Jeff - thank you for sharing your experience with Canto. We're glad to hear that the ability to search, preview, and download your clips from anywhere has been helpful for creating content on the go! We hope you'll consider delving into our additional features at some point - please don't hesitate to reach out to your account manager if you would like to explore how to adapt those to your workflows. Thank you for choosing Canto!

-Julie

 ### 35. Highly Customizable with Great Workspaces, Portals, Style Guides, and of course Metadata

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth W. | Digital Asset Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I use Canto everyday all day - I am a Digital Asset Manager - and love the separate Workspaces, Portals, Style guides and of course all the Metadata and how customizable it is.
It's very easy to use and while I do train new folks on how to navigate the DAM, it's really intuitive and doesn't take too much hand-holding.
The Customer Support is also exceptional.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

We have been having some glitches where updated versions are not pulling through to our site, and we still see the old imagery.
There is also some degradation on the Video preview. But the downloaded video is still fine.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling the whole company to access high res imagery and video for every product that we have ever created.

 ### 36. Intuitive, Fast, and Highly Customizable Workflows with Canto

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

Canto makes it easy to customize your workflows, accommodates many different infrastructure types, and is quite user friendly. Upload speeds are fast, edits are smooth and the UI is very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

There are a few UI elements that you need to get used to. There some times too many features to choose from. But once you get used to, the flow is good.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto allows our organization to house over 70 brands in one place, accessible by our entire company. It provides centralized home for brand assets, imagery, video, documentation and more. Sharing specific pages and folders with our teams is very easy. Style Guides has been huge for us as well.

 ### 37. User-Friendly File Organization with Powerful, Secure Asset Sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kawshik R. | Digital Asset Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

The way Canto organizes files is very user-friendly. Its management system is powerful and supports automatic asset management, which really impressed me. On top of that, content can be shared securely with other users while still maintaining copyright and brand integrity.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

What I’m not entirely convinced about is the pricing, since it feels quite high for such basic functions. I’ve also seen many users comment that the advanced search isn’t always efficient or consistent, which has sometimes led them to search for files manually instead.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto has been very efficient for me. I manage a large number of digital files, and this tool is secure and fast for distributing and finding them. It’s also easy to use, and it has saved me from having to search for photos manually.

 ### 38. Rock-Solid Stability and Easy to Teach Across Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt B. | Multimedia Production Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

Stability and reliability are key. It's also a system that has been easily teachable to a wide array of users.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

The reliability and stability do cause a bit of rigidity in use cases, but it would be unfair for me to expect it to be able to do everything.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto makes assets accessible not just within our team, but across our organization.

 ### 39. Efficient AI Search, But Integration Needs Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I appreciate how Canto helps with organization and access across departments, making it easier to locate and share files. The AI search is incredibly useful, saving us time that we used to spend searching for photos across various platforms like our server and Google Drive. Since using Canto, finding what we need has become significantly easier. Setting up Canto was very easy, and the onboarding training they provided was helpful. I also like that whenever we need assistance, they are quick to help.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

The integrations. Box.com integration is not working properly. Google Drive is better - however, it does take time for Canto to discover my folder structure. The previous version, around 2022-2023 all you had to do was provide the sharing link to the Google Drive folder, which didn't take as long.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto for organization and access across departments; it saves us time searching for photos and sharing within and outside of our organization.

 ### 40. Canto: Easy to Use and Very Useful.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like that Canto is easy to use. I started about a year ago and I feel comfortable working within. I also love the Canto Academy where I can learn even more.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

It can be buggy at times. The other asset specialist I work with has put in tickets over the past year for a number of things.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with a high volume of files, so Canto is great at organizing our files in the library and in workspaces. We are looking into integrating Docusign into our Canto, which would be very helpful for our model release forms.

 ### 41. Flexible Album Setup and Easy Asset Updates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunny L. | Marketing Specialist II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like how you can set up albums for different means and usages, and update assets to the same link. I also like how i can look up an item and it provides all materials based on their AI capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I don't think I use it as much as I'd like to pinpoint what I don't like about Canto, but one note is when I add an asset to multiple folders, say I have 3 different brands but each have the same folder name, I can't tell which one is for which brand when I search it.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping with sharing multiple versions of the same asset to the same link so no on has outdated access!

**Official Response from Reagan Cola:**

> Hi Sunny! We’re glad to hear you’re finding Canto’s flexible album setup and asset updates helpful in keeping your content current. We appreciate your feedback about folder naming across brands. You might find it useful to leverage Canto’s metadata, advanced search tools, and Portals to simplify navigation.

Your account manager can walk you through these features and help tailor them to your setup. Thank you for being part of the Canto community!

 ### 42. Designed to find everything we need in 3 clicks or less!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacquelyn S. | Senior Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I love the ability to create custom filters so we can organize all our documentation and find everything in the least amount of clicks possible.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I think the emphasis on visual search features makes companies like ours feel like an after thought sometimes. We have mostly excel type files we share and we cannot search them as thoroughly and they are not live editable.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have thousands of files that have to be sorted out by client and type of file, so the custom filter feature has helped us greatly to make it easier for our team to click and find what they are looking for without searching and/or sifting through 100's of documents at a time.

 ### 43. Intuitive, One-Stop Shop for Product Images and Info

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher A. | National Grocery Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

Canto site is easy to get in, and navigation is intuitive. it is a one stop shop for product images and information I need to do my work.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I dislike the large headers on each screen which require me to manually navigate down on my desktop to see all menu items.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto allows my company to create an internal portal for company users and also have a separate menu and level of access for outside partners who need information on our products.

 ### 44. Streamlined Asset Management with Powerful Customization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgia K.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I really like how you can tweak your own workspace to fit your individual workflow with Canto. We enjoy using portals, especially when working with different external stakeholders who need access to different files, and it's easy to manage and edit that access. I appreciate that we can change the status of assets and add expiration dates, so we don't violate our licensing contracts. I also really like that we can update assets with new and approved versions of the same image. Plugging Canto links into Asana helps us track projects and share links with the team

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I think the platform is perfectly suited for photos but I find with videos it would be great to be able to have time stamps or some other way of organizing what is within the video itself. I also find that the new search bar shouldn't have to require you to put "" around things in order to only look up that very specific SKU. The search bar without the quotation marks casts too large of a net and things that shouldn't end up populating which confuses some team members. No one I know uses the personal collections for their account, so maybe finding a new way to communicate what that is for or just removing it.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto solves storage, organization, and access issues, allowing us to organize and share files with stakeholders while managing asset statuses and avoiding contract breaches.

 ### 45. Efficient Sharing, Needs Better Search

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I use Canto for photo asset sharing and management. It streamlines the sharing process, making it easy to share collections multiple times with different partners or vendors. I appreciate the ease of sharing and collection creation. It's straightforward to create a collection to share with other people by selecting assets and files. It's also easy for our partners to download the files in their original format or as high-resolution files. The initial setup of Canto was pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I don't like the way it's hard to search for files sometimes, especially when it has been placed in folders. It's hard to search items if not tagged properly. An advice is for the search outcomes to show where they are saved in what folders instead of coming up empty.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto for photo asset sharing and management. It streamlines the sharing process, making it easy to share collections multiple times with different partners or vendors.

**Official Response from Maeghan Durbin:**

> Hey there- thank you so much for your review! We love hearing that our customers find our platform easy to use and allows for seamless asset distribution. Regarding your feedback of search functionality for files within your folders, our new search feature AI Visual Search sounds like it could be a huge time saver for you to find content faster! If you’d like to learn more, contact us at customerfeedback@canto.com and we can connect you with your account manager.

 ### 46. Enhances Metadata Management but Needs Faster PDF Loading

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I like the user interface of Canto and how easy it is to use. If I don't know how to use a feature, I can utilize the FAQ page and Canto Support to help me. The initial setup was a breeze. Canto makes it easier to add enhanced metadata to assets, minimizing the overall time and effort. It also allows our clients to search across their assets seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

The loading time when opening PDFs is quite long, and it would be helpful if that wait time were shortened. AI Smart Tags could be improved because sometimes they aren't super accurate. Also, a bulk rotation tool is desperately needed.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto to make it easier to add enhanced metadata to assets, minimizing time and effort. It allows our clients to search across their assets seamlessly.

 ### 47. Efficient Media Management, Needs Better Editing and Integration

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I really like the capabilities and the suite of options and functionality Canto offers for sharing across multiple apps. I also appreciate how Canto allows identifying assets with meta tags and keywords, which makes locating them straightforward. The central storage location is fantastic because it makes my work more efficient and eliminates the need for back-and-forth emails or expired Dropbox links. Additionally, Canto's AI-enabled features help me find assets quickly, and it allows clients to access their brand assets directly from their portal and even share them with other vendors, which has greatly aided our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I find the features for resizing and making updates directly within Canto don't work as well for us. It's just been easier to keep doing that the way we normally do. Also, I would really like an integration with Workamajig, our project management tool, but that hasn't happened yet. The onboarding took a little longer than I'd have liked, but I understand it's important for everyone to get familiar with all the functionality.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto helps expedite workflows and communication by eliminating back and forth emails and texts, storing all assets in one central location. Clients access and share their brand assets faster, and AI features speed up asset searches, enhancing our workflow.

 ### 48. Centralized Asset Management with Quick Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I really love the fact that we can resize photos within Canto and export them either in high resolution or low resolution for social media. We can do the same with videos, cutting clips to the length we need. It saves us an additional step of exporting a larger file, opening a different program, and doing those same things there, allowing us to eliminate that step and get deliverables out the door more quickly.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I'm not a giant fan of the folders and albums setup. I like the idea of having everything in one central place and using the filters to sort. But when it comes to constructing a client portal, it's a lot more practical to still have everything organized into different folders. I would rather be organizing my assets within a folder structure system.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Canto as a central place for our remote team to access and share digital assets, avoiding multiple computers or internal servers. It allows easy resizing and exporting of photos and videos, eliminating additional steps and speeding up deliverables.

 ### 49. Decent Entry-Level DAM, Needs Intuitive UX

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I leverage Canto for asset storage and organization, from brand elements to photo and video work. I appreciate that it creates a centralized repository for the internal team to access and share easily. It is easy to organize, tag, and curate elements. Canto has various permission levels that make it easy to involve the full team with the right level of access. I find the tagging fairly intuitive, helping make search and discovery easy and intuitive. It also keeps our assets safe by ensuring only certain people can delete.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

Canto has a rougher interface than other DAM tools and a lot of the new functions are add-ons vs baked into the core experience. It did not have as frictionless onboarding and set-up as other tools.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto creates a centralized repository for assets, making it easy to organize, tag, and curate elements. It enhances security with various permission levels, facilitating safe access and intuitive tagging for easy search and discovery.

**Official Response from Reagan Cola:**

> Hi Tiffany, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback here. We’re glad Canto is helping your team keep everything organized and easy to access.

We appreciate the honest feedback on the interface and onboarding as well. That kind of input is helpful as we continue building on the New Library Experience. If you haven’t tried it out yet, we encourage you to and share any feedback with your Canto account team.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts! - Reagan

 ### 50. Canto Streamlines Asset Sharing Despite Integration Hurdles

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Canto?**

I use Canto as a digital asset tool for my organization, and it really helps us by allowing our entire organization to see images, graphics, and access marketing materials that were previously siloed to just the marketing team. Now, we can share it with everyone. The portals are a very cool way to share assets with both external people and internally with the team. Sharing brand materials with other organizations and images internally with teams has become easier. The initial setup of Canto was easy too.

**What do you dislike about Canto?**

I don't like the workspaces and integrations. They don't work for us. I also don't like how unless you purchase more user seats consumers can't access workspaces or out of the infinite number of consumers we CAN have we CAN'T reduce that number to allow for more power seat users to use those features without paying more. It kind of sucks that in order to let users have access to features they need to be a power seat user and pay more.

**What problems is Canto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Canto allows our entire organization to access images and marketing materials, breaking down silos. The portals are a cool way to share assets internally and with external parties, making sharing brand materials effortless.
