Emily Kaplan was a fantastic partner during the recruiting process at Retool. She did a great job explaining the opportunity and then advocating for me throughout the process. I had very aggressive compensation targets, a high bar for product/market fit, and initially had thought I wanted to work on a CDP product. Emily's support was instrumental in helping me understand why Retool was a good fit and coordinating a seamless process with the in-house Retool recruiting team. Jamie from CandidateLabs contacted me via email about a Revenue Operations Manager position. I was not actually looking for a new job, but he insisted (I am so glad he did) and we jumped on a call. He explained how CandidateLabs found me, why he thought I was a good fit, and gave me an overview of the hiring company/position/salary range. I decided to apply and moved to the interview with the hiring manager. After that, everything happened super fast, but I never felt that we were skipping steps or taking risks. Somehow they made me feel very confident that we were getting all the information we needed (company and me). I had debrief calls with Jamie after the interviews, he was able to get a lot streamlined to the hiring manager (for example: I already knew the position salary range and he knew what salary range I would accept). Jamie was part of every single step (from screening call to offer), and I felt supported by him. From the applicant's point of view, this is very refreshing. We were working together as a group and ended with a win-win. He was always one step ahead of the game. When I thought his job was done, he offered help with resignation and counteroffer negotiation!

I felt that Tyler and the Candidate Labs team did an excellent job asking the right questions to understand my experience and align it with potential opportunities. They were able to surface roles that resonated with me, and they held off on roles that didn't fit the bill, which I appreciated. I felt like my time was valued. The interview experience and follow-up was exceptional. I always knew where I stood in the process, what to expect regarding next steps, and feedback flowed both ways. Candidate labs did a great job putting the right kind of job opportunity in front of me. I felt completely supported by the recruiter I worked with (Tyler) and he helped me get a better sense of my market value. He arranged a call with me before each to help me understand what to expect from the next conversation, and coach me through the process. I loved not having to do the negotiation piece myself and was blown away by the result my recruiter achieved on my behalf.
