What do you like best about Candidate Labs?

Shashwath first reached out to me in February about an opening with Guru and as someone who sold LinkedIn Recruiter, his message was the epitome of best practice. Great subject line, the perfect amount of information (salary estimate included!). It was super easy to get time on his calendar, and once the time came - Jaycie was great at conversationally walking me through what Guru was looking for and aligning my experience and goals. Throughout the entire interview process I never had t wonder what was coming next or who I was going to speak with, she kept me in the loop on everything & it made me feel more confident going into each of those meetings. I was in the process of interviewing for a CLient Director role with Candidate Labs ultimately withdrawing myself to stay at my current company. It was not an easy decision as Candidate Labs made it very difficult after really highlighting who they are, their values, future and how they operate internally. I met with several people in the company including one of the co-founders, the VP and a few peers in the same role. All were fantastic people and great experiences. What do you like best about Candidate Labs?

The thing I liked best was who I met with during the process and the things we covered. Everyone did stellar in selling Candidate Labs and answering all the questions I had. Lauren Howard initially reached out to me and she was fantastic. She did a great job describing her similar path to mine and the transition she made into Candidate Labs. Furthermore, she did a great job being my guide throughout the process checking in each time before and after all my conversations with other people and assisting to make sure I was best prepared in each step. I next met with Kendra Morales who is the VP of Client Services. She was amazing in the fact to see how passionate she was about her team. I think she encompasses everything you would want in a leader and mentor. She's very personable and down-to-earth and sees you as a real person outside of work. I then met with one of the co-founders, Michael Zhang. Michael is very intelligent yet very humble. He dove into the analytics and numbers of the company and broke them down into terms that not only resonate but get you excited. He also talks about how unafraid he is to get into the trenches with his reps to help make sure they get these placements across the finish line. Lauren Howard initially connected with me and brought Candidate Labs to my attention which is a company I had never heard of before. It was very eye-opening to see how they differentiate themselves in the crowded space of recruiting. The benefits I've realized are not only the internal processes they have in place to approach recruiting but also their tech stack used internally. All the current pain points I face today would be alleviated immensely. The opportunity introduced was made very exciting by the people I ocnnected with. What do you like best about Candidate Labs?

Jamie was the recruiter that I worked with throughout my entire experience. He listened to what I was looking for in my next role and found a company and role that fit exactly what I was looking for. Jamie was extremely quick to respond, very transparent through the entire process, and made me feel like I was kept in the loop on expectations. From recruiter screen to offer, the whole process took roughly 2.5 to 3 weeks. I would recommend working with him to a friend/family member and also work with him again in the future! What do you like best about Candidate Labs?

When I joined Deel we were in hypergrowth mode ($4M to $55M in 2021), my predecessor was behind on hiring, and we had no internal recruiting resources to support me with sourcing and screening candidates. I engaged Candidate Labs and several other contingency firms that specialize in go-to-market roles, and CL by far produced the highest quality candidates and best overall results. They took the time to thoroughly understand our specific requirements, comp structure, and culture, and course-corrected quickly based on feedback. It was clear they were taking the time to pitch candidates on the specific opportunity and our company, and, compared with other firms, their candidate profiles were much more detailed, allowing my managers and I to accomplish a lot more during first-round interviews.

They also took a much more hands-on role in driving the overall process than other recruiters we worked with, soliciting feedback from both the hiring manager and candidate promptly at each stage, sharing updates on the candidate's timeline with other opportunities and competing offers, and ensuring candidates were closed in advance of offer extension. It was very evident that she was not only working with the company's best interest in mind but also the candidate's. It was evident that their recruiter, Maddie, did her research and had prior experience with filling this particular type of role. Too often I would see cold outreach from recruiters who did not bother to look into my skill level, seniority level etc. and they are just looking to cast a wide net, hoping someone would bite. It was incredibly easy and a pleasure to work with Alex. He understood my needs and worked tirelessly to find me a role that met my requirements. Unlike other recruiters, Alex was incredibly well-versed in every company he introduced me to. He gave me an excellent overview of their product, their business goals, the founders and more. This helped me prep for calls with the hiring manager and other interviewers and made the interview process seamless.
