"Effortless Video Editing with Intuitive Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I really like how easy Camtasia is to use, with a simple interface that allows me to quickly put together training videos. I can effortlessly drag and drop different assets, do voice narration and subtitles, and edit keyframes and transitions. It's quite advanced yet user-friendly. I especially like the way different animations can stack over the top, allowing me to add elements such as text with different styles that fit my brand and the tone of the video. This makes the videos more engaging, and I've noticed it increases the watch time when using Camtasia. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

So there's not a great deal actually that I would improve, to be honest. The main gripes I have with the software is that maybe it doesn't quite have a fluid interface in some aspects. So you've got to kind of refer to documentation for some aspects of it because they're sort of nested away in different interface. I end up not quite sure which ones are the correct folder for you, if that makes sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Easy-to-Use Suite with Seamless Camtasia, Audiate, and Snagit Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I love the way Camtasia, Audiate, and Snagit integrate with each other. The tools are feature-rich while still being easy to use, which makes my workflow smoother. I also really like the integration with YouTube. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I’ve run into consistent issues during renewals and major software upgrades. Despite those frustrations, I’ve researched other product solutions and, in short, nothing else compares to the power and capability of Camtasia. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easiest Recording and Editing Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

How easy it is to get started recording and, more importantly, how easy the editing process is. Comparing to other editing software, this has definitely been the easiest. Now with added AI features, it is never easier to create content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

Some components can be tricky to learn how to do, but once you get them it's not bad. I have had some performance issues, but they haven't occurred too much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Stable, and Intuitive. Camtasia Makes Editing Predictable and Efficient."
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

Camtasia is very easy to use, super stable, and extremely intuitive. I have found it very easy to add graphics, other elements, animations, etc. It makes my editing workflow very predictable and efficient. The integration of Audiate makes the sound editing much more seamless. Camtasia is a great value for the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I’d really love it if it were easier to add captions and create transcripts with the base package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Built-In Templates and Granular Timeline Editing Make Creation Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I like the built-in templates to get started, but also love the granularity on the edit timelines. I can separate tracks, cut up audio and video separately, or together, and can output to whatever format I need (socials, LMS, video). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I think the quality of the recorded demos varies quite a bit. If I'm recording something for a simulation, it is perfect, but if I'm recording myself drawing on a piece of paper on my desk for a tutorial, the quality is a bit lower (tried three different cameras). "Empowering, Easy-to-Use Tool for Video Creation"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I like that Camtasia is very easy to use and offers so many resources for users. I recently got my certification with the Camtasia certification course, and I've realized that despite using it for maybe ten years, I've just been scratching the surface of what it can do. I also appreciate that Camtasia accommodates SCORM files, which is something I'm looking forward to exploring further for our new learning management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I do think that one area of enhancement could be that Camtasia could dip its toe into the learning management pool. That would seem like a natural progression since they already accommodate SCORM files. I would love to just use one platform all the way through if that were possible. "Simple, Tutorial-Focused Screen Recording With Great Cursor and Mouse Editing"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

Simple to use. Easy to add basic animations and highlights. Built specifically for doing tutorials and screen recordings. Super helpful to be able to record and edit the mouse movement, and cursor shape and the clicking sounds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I haven't learned a quick way to delete a section of one track and have the space made by the deleted section filled in. I can do the magnet on the track, but that messes a lot up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Straightforward Tool for Creating Instructional Videos"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

Camtasia is a great tool for anyone who wants to create instructional videos, especially if you’re looking for a straightforward way to record and put everything together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

Camtasia is great overall; however, the upload section could be improved. I often have to navigate through folders to figure out which one to use when uploading certain files, and it feels less straightforward than it should be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Camtasia Makes Tutorial Creation Fast and Seamless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

The screen capture feature in Camtasia has been incredibly helpful for creating tutorial videos, both for internal use and for our clients. The workflow from capture to editing feels seamless, which saves a lot of time and makes video creation quick and straightforward instead of turning into an hours-long process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

Sometimes media files seem to get “lost,” and I can’t figure out why it happens or how to fix it. When it does, it ends up causing issues when I try to save. It might be something on my end that I’m not understanding, but it’s happened a few times now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Video Creation with Camtasia"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I think Camtasia is extremely easy to use. When I'm creating something, whether it's a video or a quick social media post, it's just so user-friendly. It's not difficult to get started or to keep using it. I can create a video very quickly, especially when I'm in a hurry. It's quick and easy to get started, and that makes it very valuable to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I think if they have more creative templates available, their audience would be a little larger. I know some of their templates are basic, so I find myself not using those very often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
