It also automates the assignment of users to access groups in Entra ID. Moving the requests to the app owners saves IT a ton of time, but also the app owners them selves, since they arn't in a constant back-and-forth with IT about user access. We really like the simplicity of the tool and that it lives in our default communication tool, Slack. If we have any questions or issues we can also reach out to their support through Slack, and we never have to wait long for a reply or fix. **What do you dislike about Cakewalk?** The current built-in policies are sufficiently editable for now. The 1 thing we miss (or would like to see) when compared to competitors is a more elaborate workflow builder. **What problems is Cakewalk solving and how is that benefiting you?** It moves the access request from a combination of IT and app owners to just the app owners. Before Cakewalk, we struggled with access control, it took up too much time and caused a major decrease in efficiency. Never thought managing access could actually be this easy… Product is super simple, easy to use, powerful and reliable. What really surprised me: not only does security like Cakewalk—our CFO/Finance team loves it too (cutting costs!). To add to all of this, their customer support is second to none, they will take feedback and really use it to enhance their product. I requested a feature as i noticed that you could not use cakewalk in split screen, I raised this with them and they implemented a solution within 2 weeks! **What do you dislike about Cakewalk?** The fact that we didnt know about it for 5 years. **What problems is Cakewalk solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are ISO 27001 certified. We had the opportunity to test the solution for several days to really make sure it supports our use cases. Onboard was really straightforward as we could connect directly to Google SSO and the browser extension works well. We have much more insights into employees' tool accesses now than before and can use Cakewalk as single source of truth. As we are SOC2 and ISO audited, Cakewalk helps us in enhancing security and controlling who has access to which tool with an easy-to-use UX/UI and slack integration for requestors and approvers. **What do you dislike about Cakewalk?** We are missing an opportunity to track tool access via Apps that are not accessed via browser and don't have Google SSO enforced. **What problems is Cakewalk solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Cakewalk for Tool Access Management across the entire company. I've been looking for a product like Cakewalk for many years, and after attempting to use a competitor for the past year and failing due to over-complexity it has been a breath of fresh air dealing with the fantastic team developing Cakewalk. **What do you dislike about Cakewalk?** The only downside about Cakewalk is that if you're looking for a SaaS management tool, this won't fit the bill for you as Cakewalk doesn't integrate into individual applications to grab user lists or automatically revoke or provision access. However, as a result of this, unlike many competitors Cakewalk is much easier and quicker to implement, and you won't need to spend 6-12 months setting up clunky processes which vary depending on the level of integration with the product. **What problems is Cakewalk solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cakewalk is solving JML and access management for us. Our company used a spreadsheet to track user access and privileges for many years, however as we've grown it's became more and more unsuitable for our scale, while simultaneously becoming less and less accurate due to how SaaS ownership is spread throughout our business. We attempted to use a competitor to Cakewalk, however we quickly became bogged down in over-complexity and extremely poor support that failed to understand our requirements. In contrast, Cakewalk has been absolutely fantastic. The team there understand that many modern businesses today already have umpteen different platforms that employees need to memorise, and forcing staff to use yet another platform is not the answer. Instead, Cakewalk allows employees to request access to a service via Slack, and access requests are then sent onto whomever needs to action the request via a Slackbot. This allows almost the entire access request flow to be managed within Slack, with the exception of actually adding the user to the service. No more updating columns in spreadsheets! Cakewalk also helps us track and reduce shadow IT by using their Chrome browser extension, which logs when users log into sites they haven't been recorded as having access to, and then asking them if this needs to be recorded - this works even if the site hasn't been previously tracked in Cakewalk. The team at Cakewalk have been enormously helpful while we've been getting set up, and it's always a great feeling when you know you're speaking to someone there who cares about the product and the experience for users. ### 8.
