It had also helped for managing our SCM process/ lifecycles through source code versioning, version control & other good features. It has helped us with the timely code review & version control. This tool really helped us to be Agil in the SDLC cycle & also boosted team performance in Project management activites. **What do you dislike about CA Harvest Software Change Manager?** Had minor hiccpus with few platforms. Overall no major cons with the software. **What problems is CA Harvest Software Change Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** The tool has really helped my Development team with version control of the changes in the code before release. CA Harvest workbench and 2. CA Harvets Administrator module Workbench Module: ------------------------- Suppose someone wants to build a release process for their software, then this tool provides lots of functionality like maintaing the version release of a specific patch or feature using a package based deployments. It also release based on the configuration in the tool: working state Managed control state Baseline Production these states can be configured as dev, staging and production which makes the tool more flexible. Admin Module: ----------------------- This module provides compete fucntionality to maintain the projects lifecycle and access provided to each team member in each project. You can build your own scripts and deployment mechanisms. The interface is very user friendly. The licensing costs for this solution are very reasonable. The tool is very very stable. We can integrate CA Harvest with many other tools for a smooth delivery process. Integration process is quite simple. **What do you dislike about CA Harvest Software Change Manager?** Technical support for this solution is good, but there is still some scope for improvement in some regards. **Recommendations to others considering CA Harvest Software Change Manager:** Friendly interface with lot of processes that come planned as part of the application. Initial setup is very easy and straight forward. Full documentation on the tool is provided. The licensing costs for this solution are very reasonable. Once you purchase your licenses, there is maintenance support that is renewed every year. Be sure to stick to the implementation and installation instructions as to how they are provided. CA Harvest supports windows and MAC. While all of the features are valuable, we use a lot of the UDPs.
