Creating a customized tool for a niche industry such as ours involved an extremely in-depth and long discovery process. Their communication was fantastic, but the original project timeline was too short. Some of the more challenging features (real-time streaming etc.) took a while to secure properly. The platform is stable in production, but any small design change or report logic requires their development team to get involved– the admin tools are designed for data engineer and not a product person. If we could change something, it would be to make the initial setup and onboarding process a bit faster and more structured. Having more pre-built templates or guided workflows for common data extraction scenarios would help reduce setup time and make it easier to get started. It would be helpful if BWT provided step-by-step guides and pre-configured templates for common extraction tasks. Getting product data from 58 different sites was a total headache—there was missing information, constant errors, and too much time wasted fixing things. Now, everything just works.
