What do you like best about BS&A Tax?

BS&A is designed specifically for government agencies that require fund accounting. This program makes it very easy to keep track and post the necessary transactions required for a governmental unit. It comes with different modules to best fit the needs of each agency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BS&A Tax?

In the beginning, BS&A could post revenue to multiple funds at once; after an update (several years ago now) we are only able to post to one fund at a time. It still works but now requires an extra step to show cash receipts in the correct fund. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BS&A Tax?

I like the many different ways you can search for a property; if you don't know a parcel number, you can still search by name or address. I also like that the staff is very helpful and knowledgable, if you need assistance they will either walk you through the problem, or you can remote them right into the computer so they can show you how the solution. What do you dislike about BS&A Tax?

I dislike that it is sometimes difficult to navigate the system. It took a while to learn where everything was located. I also dislike that you can update the residents information in the system, but when the assesor ports over their information, it cancels out any changes you may have made. BS&A seems to be a reliable system and company. There are numerous ways to find answers to any questions you may have about the system. They have a help manual that you can download, and if you can't find the answer there, you can send a help request. If you send a help request, you can request a response by phone or email; if those options still don't help, you can even remote someone from BS&A into the system so that they can walk you step by step through the problem. What problems is BS&A Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?

The benefits of BS&A Tax are that it connects well with other systems. Residents can quickly pay their bills online through Point & Pay, and that information ports right back over to BS&A. By using this system, one major problem we hope to solve is residents paying their taxes late. Another benefit of the system is that almost any property information that is needed can be input; this is beneficial because when someone calls for information on a property, you can easily find it without looking in multiple places.
