At present, the Brex card only allows for images to be uploaded as backup receipt verification. They have a deal with Spotnana. We used to use Amex so we understand how a point system should work. We have like 5M+ points with spotnana. I'm not exaggerating when I say I would not suggest spotnana to any person or business owner I know. First off; you can't book a flight for anyone under 18 years old....I have s young family. So right there over 50% of the people I wanna book a flight for I can't. Then you wanna book a hotel, well good luck. Not a single hotel seems to take these stupid spotnana points. I honestly feel like and trapped with this ridiculous company. I've been benefiting and using points for nearly a full decade, it's part of the benefits of running my own company. I absolutely despise spotnana. **What do you dislike about Brex?** You can't use your points for anything. I'm supposed to be able to book flights and hotels. They won't book flights for my kids; and there are very few hotel options. Whether it's the UI, or corporate card features or budgeting limits. The dynamic credit limit is also very useful. Integrations with outher popular acocunting softwares etc. are well done. Coe banking features like transfers etc have never been an issues. They have become very good at international transfers as well and even allow exact foreign currency amounts to be remitted which is very useful for non-US payments. The best part about Brex is the very helpful and knowledgable customer support team. Until now, everytime I have conctacted the cusotmer support the concern has been resolved, no matter how complicated. **What do you dislike about Brex?** 1. Their money market investments are limited to $500k unlike competitors. 2. They devalued their points by 30% suddenely in 2023 with no warning. **What problems is Brex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being an early stage startup, we have limited time and funds. Brex ensures everything we need to do can be done quickly. They're always quick to get in touch, understand what's going on, figure out the urgency of the issue, and help me resolve it. It's probably the best CS team of any B2B tool (incl. Stripe, Mercury Bank, and others). Even after each resolution, the team follows up with me again to ensure is everything is still going well. I also appreciate the ongoing product enhancements. It seems the team is actively releasing new features. I'm hoping some of these features will overlap with other providers, so I can consolidate my stack a bit. **What do you dislike about Brex?** Becoming a new Brex customer isn't straightforward. Unless you're introduced through a partner of theirs, it can be difficult. I used Pry (Brex's forecasting tool) for a short bit, but unfortunately, Brex's great customer service didn't make it to that org. Onboarding was difficult, and responses from their service team were slow and short. **What problems is Brex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Expenses flow easily from credit card payments to categorizing automatically, to our Quickbooks Online. The app and the website are easy to use and includes emails and text messages to remind people to complete the back up information our accounting system requires. And the integreation with Amazon makes supply orders super easy to track. **What do you dislike about Brex?** The Brex notifications are really helpful but if there was a downside (there's always a downside, right?) repetitive monthly charges such as NYT subscritions or consultant retainers also generate reminders to provide back up and I find that can be annoying when I'm in a bad mood. **What problems is Brex solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ever present problem of getting staff members to document their expenses in a timely way without having to hunt them down is made soooo easy with Brex. Setting spending limits and earning points for the organzation instead of on individual staff personal credit cards is cool too. I prepare the transactions and then our outside bookkeeping firm syncs Brex with QBO and is able to quickly and easily prepare our monthly financials. Customer support has been a strong point for Brex as well. I can easily connect with support and get the answers I need for my questions. **What do you dislike about Brex?** About 1 year ago I began to use Brex Bill pay. It didn't do a great job of recognizing invoices and correctly identifying invoice number, payment amount etc. Recently, though, that feature has been improved and I've begun using it again. **What problems is Brex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Brex solves two main problems. First, we needed an easy way to manage employee spending on travel, entertainment, etc. Brex has done a great job with this. It is easy for me to quickly and easily see how much each employee has spent and how much may be remaining. The second problem is easy expense payment. A large portion of our expenses are international contractors. They always make sure that for every transaction that has a problem, they have a solution and provide it to me. However since they already have a previous transaction in your account, the Brex team will manually help you to complete it and notify you that they have made some action and the payment will be reflected in your account within 24 hours.
