We have been streaming with Boxcast since Covid. I'm pleased with the affordability of the mini-Boxcast, and are well-pleased with the multiple features of the Boxcast-Pro. We have been using one of each for several years, and are in the process of upgrading the mini to a "Pro" model, for better timing, audio control and H.265 encoding. The hardware is fantastic, but the support is exceptional. We can reach live people whenever we need assistance. They've even stayed late beyond their shifts to provide expertise. I don't believe there's an easier system out there in install, deploy and maintain than Boxcaster. I highly recommend the entire system, devices, staff and software. I really don't have any real negatives. We have had some equipment failures on the Pro model, but we were shipped warranty devices within a couple of days, so we didn't miss any scheduled streaming sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the simplicity of the boxcaster device - especially the ports and symbols that light up allowing me to check my connections at a glance. I also love the software that let's me schedule livestreams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Currently, the app has difficulty staying logged in, which is annoying but okay. Also often when I go live, I have to refresh the page in order for it to go from the broadcast starting window to where I can see the actual stream. The software struggled the most on an older iPad also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We looked around to find the best live stream solution for our church and what we found was that Boxcast was by far the easiest. The fact that we didn't need to search and find separate kinds of encoding and decoding hardware, or set up a dedicated computer just for the live stream, was a huge win for us. It's plug-and-play. The website is easy to use and it's the only "software" you'll have to deal with. It works so easily. Something we couldn't test out before we implemented Boxcast was the stability of the live stream, and we've been very happy with the result. In the early Sundays of the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw Facebook Live, Vimeo Live, YouTube Live, and many other services crash due to the sudden increase in internet traffic- but our stream with Boxcast never went down. We've been very happy with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The online dashboard is functionally very good, but using it does not feel as easy to use as the rest of the system. It's pretty utilitarian and can feel a bit overwhelming to someone who might be new to live streaming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that the interface is easy to maneuver, and the data and analytics are excellent. The abitlity to schedule and embed has been particularly useful and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not something I dislike, but would offer as an area of improvement for the future would be to be able to embed in a website with a paywall, as this is key, with the ability to collect revenue generated within 24 hours would be really helpful.
Having said that, Boxcast makes it really easy to integrate with other ticketing platforms that perform this function and the nonexclusive nature of the stream has been really great for our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is extremely easy to set up, integrate into a system, and use. We are able to have a team of volunteers run the equipment after a simple training session. A great product for churches. Our church is smaller, too, so not just for mega-churches. We only have about 100 people on a Sunday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only challenge we sometimes have is balancing the sound in the room and the sound at home. It is not really a Boxcast problem, though. It is an issue of using a single soundboard to send the audio to both places. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Boxcast is extremely easy to use and has been solid uptime since the beginning! It can start and stop manually or by a schedule, remembers your settings for the next stream, and has take a load of weight off my shoulders at work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The website interface is built to do far more than we need it to do so there are lots of other options that are available and could complicate things a bit for someone new to the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like pre-scheduling the events so it's easy for our staff to click into the event to go live with the broadcaster app. I like the ease of using the app. I like that it records the videos and editing is very easy. The new chat feature is awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having to log in multiple times. (On several devices, so this is not isolated to one device)
For the last few months, we have run into more issues than ever with the portrait/landscape orientation and with using the Broadcaster App. It logs us out after every use, regardless of saying "remember me", etc. It forces us to log in more than once including when I log into the account on the computer. Up until a few months ago, I likely would have given Boxcast a 10/10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the reliability of the platform. If our stream connection drops Boxcast continues flowless until our connection is restored. Adding graphics is great and the overall quality is awesome. Our clients have given us a fantastic review of the quality of the picture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the cost was a tad more reasonable for the add-ons and that they could be added and removed as needed and not require a one year agreement to use some of the add-on services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their sales staff and technical staff are there every step of the way. They made me feel comfortable and help with anything I needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to dislike about them. They have been great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use along with stability of streaming. There is so little effort to learn, implement, and utilize Boxcast and this is a huge win for us as we have technical limitations with our workflow and knowledge base for livestreaming. Boxcast has anticipated this and done the work ahead of time for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's selfish, but I'd like a couple of the added costs features to be available with our current subscription....primarily the simulated live feature. Recently the billing for storage was hard to deal with, but that has been changed for the better! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
