**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services

I like how easy it is to celebrate teammates in the moment. It helps build a stronger culture of appreciation without feeling forced or time-consuming.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

The monthly allotment of Bonusly dollars is fairly low, which can make it challenging to recognize as many teammates as I’d like.

  ### 4. Easy Compliments to Send, Though the Experience Can Feel a Bit Childlike

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Bonusly?**

It’s easy to submit compliments to others, and I can also see what other people have said. The way Bonusly is set up feels interactive, almost like a social platform, which makes it more engaging to use.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

At times it feels a little too child-like, and at other times it comes across as somewhat conditional. For instance, if my colleague does X, they get rewarded. I’m wondering whether there’s a way to incentivize the behavior without making it feel like a conditional reward system.

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Personally, it hasn’t solved much for me. I guess using Bonusly is just an extra way to say thank you.

It spreads recognition around the entire team and empowers lower level employees to have a voice in spotting great performance and rewarding it.

I love that Bonusly is tied to rewards that can be turned into Amazon gift cards. I also like that it's easy and public so everyone at the company can see the recognition. It provides a quick and easy way to give someone a small amount of valuable recognition, and it reminds me to recognize people I haven't recognized in a while.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

The reminders are a bit too frequent. I'm not sure if I can turn that down. That's all I can think of.

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bonusly helps us stay connected as a team and gives kudos to people you work with.

I have been using Bonusly for two and a half years to give praise to my colleagues. The platform is user-friendly, as its interface is similar to Twitter, allowing for a very smooth setup process that I found intuitive. The feature that I find most useful is the ability to give bonuses and see the timeline of bonuses given by others, along with their reasons. This aspect is engaging and keeps the team connected, which I find pretty cool. Furthermore, Bonusly helps foster team engagement and offers a structured way to appreciate and reward colleagues, adding a positive dynamic to our workplace. I like to give my team recognition via Bonusly each time they accomplish a project, enable a feature for a customer, or resolve a bug. I appreciate being able to reward them with points that they can redeem for useful gift cards. Personally, I like the Delta gift card option. ### 14. Effortless Recognition and Motivation, Just Wish for More Points

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Bonusly?**

I appreciate being able to recognize my colleagues' hard work in real time. Composing a post and rewarding them is effortless, since there is always a template available. This not only makes the process simple, but also motivates me to write more and really express why my colleague made such a meaningful impact.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

It's difficult to find any real drawbacks with Bonusly. If I had to mention one, it would be the limited number of points available to give out each month. I often wish I had more points to share, but I understand that this is likely determined by the company.

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bonusly has definitely helped boost morale within my direct team, and I believe it has had a positive impact across the company as well. Since our organization is quite large, having a way to recognize one another truly helps maintain momentum and keeps everyone feeling connected.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

I would think that the issue with rewards is that sometimes there are options that are usually enabled, but at certain times they are disabled either because the product is unavailable or in the case of gift cards.

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bonusly allows me to interact with and thank different teams in the company for their contributions. It gives me flexible customization with GIFs to express gratitude in a unique way.

It's wonderful how Bonusly allows us to honor our colleagues by rewarding each other, which enhances camaraderie and support within the workplace. This not only enhances collaboration but also integrates remarkably well with other applications like Slack, further streamlining our workflow. Overall, Bonusly significantly enhances my work experience and makes team interactions more rewarding and engaging.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

I find it inconvenient that while typing messages in Bonusly, I'm unable to tag multiple people without repeatedly going to the 'add' button. Additionally, adding multiple emojis at once requires going through the menu each time, which interrupts the flow of using the platform.

**What do you like best about Bonusly?**

I appreciate how Bonusly facilitates a positive and supportive team culture within my organization. It's a low-barrier opportunity for team members to give each other public shout-outs and acknowledgments, which is vital for culture building. I find the running timeline feature incredibly helpful. It allows me to easily see my team members and the people I directly supervise, and also provides notifications that remind me to acknowledge someone within a certain timeframe. My team enjoys the organization-wide leaderboard and pays close attention to it, which adds a fun and engaging element to our work culture. These capabilities collectively contribute to a positive work environment and are instrumental in fostering team engagement and satisfaction.

I would like to see Bonusly improve the visibility aspect of the software. Currently, I can only see my direct supervisees, but it would be beneficial if I could view everyone in the branch of the organization that I lead. The Gif's, the hashtag options, the fun emoji's allowed. It allows for a fun way to show appreciation without making it all about receiving bonus points, but public praise.

I love how simple it makes recognizing coworkers in real time. It encourages positive feedback, builds morale, and creates a culture of appreciation without feeling forced. The rewards are a nice bonus, but the recognition itself is what really stands out.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

Sometimes the reward options feel limited, and it would be nice to have more customization. Also, notifications can get a bit busy in active teams, but overall it’s a minor issue.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

There isn't a way to opt out of notifications if you were the first to congrats a coworker on something and 15+ people 'add' to it after, every single person sends a mail and it's overwhelming and a time waster.

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It connects teams that don't always communicate with each other.

  ### 32. Empowers Employee Engagement with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor M.

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Bonusly?**

I think Bonusly is a fantastic tool because it effectively serves as a reward and recognition platform that helps us say thank you and incentivize one another in our workplace. Over the three years of using Bonusly, it has become an integral part of our team building by allowing frequent engagement and promoting positive interactions among colleagues. The system itself is very easy and comfortable to use, thanks to a straightforward step-by-step setup process, which was made even easier with help from colleagues familiar with it. What stands out is how Bonusly enhances communication within the team through gifts, messages, and rewards. This ability to reward one another and provide positive feedback has significantly enriched our day-to-day communication, making it both fun and free-flowing. These features have worked out exceptionally well for us, and given its effectiveness, we haven’t even considered looking at other vendors.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

I feel that the reward system offered by Bonusly, although varied, could benefit from further expansion. Some employees have specific stores that they frequent which do not participate in the current reward options. Expanding the reward systems to include a broader range of stores and payment methods would better accommodate the diverse preferences of all employees.

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bonusly solves our team building issues by encouraging engagement and positive interactions through rewards and feedback, making communication fun and free.

  ### 34. Fun and worth it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Bonusly?**

The best thing about Bonusly is being able to build a rapport. Allowing us to use kind words and points to show how much someone may mean to us or how hard they are working. I can be shy sometimes. This is a great way for me to engage with my team and show I care without having to do it face to face

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

I wish the points rolled over. My office is not big so even saving for year does not get me to the goals I wish to reach. The only way I will be able to do that is if we can roll over bonusly into the next year and continue to save

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For someone who may have a hard time giving recognition face-to-face or in person. For the person who doesn't know what to get someone they would like to recognize. This benefits them by allowing them to provide a way to do so.

  ### 35. Is an awesome way to congratulate and support colleagues that have been doing awesome things.

Recognizing coworkers. It is important to me that we all encourage each other, and that's what this type of engagement achieves.

The initial setup was very easy and intuitive, which made getting started with Bonusly a smooth experience.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

I don't like having to use a hashtag. I feel like one doesn't always apply. It's okay, just a slight annoyance. It would not stop me from using the app.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Bonusly?**

have the opportunity to congratulate people that have given and done things for the community or towards yourself.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

we do not get enough bonusly points. 100 is not enough because PHS employees over 500 people and if you work with 100 of them and 20 of them have helped you that month, you are unable to show your appreciation to all.

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none

  ### 47. Super

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

We only get 100 points per month so couldn't give it to the colleagues sometimes

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing more monthly points

  ### 48. Great for Recognition, But Reward Options and Pricing Need Stability

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 49. Bonusly is a great platform for Commendations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mhar Edrian A. | Accounting Staff, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Bonusly?**

Bonusly empowers managers by providing tools to track progress, align team goals, and facilitate feedback. This makes it easier for managers to support individual growth and ensure everyone is aligned with company values and objectives. The ability to automate milestones and provide rewards not only reduces administrative burdens but also ensures that important moments aren’t missed. Overall, Bonusly stands out for its ability to motivate teams, celebrate successes, and build a positive, engaged work culture.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

  ### 50. RISE Employees Bonusly Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rj Panes T. | Business Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Bonusly?**

What I like best about Bonusly is how easy it makes recognizing and appreciating teammates. It’s quick, visible to everyone, and helps build a positive work culture. It also encourages people to give regular feedback—not just top-down, but peer-to-peer—which makes everyone feel seen and valued. The rewards feature is a nice bonus, but for me, the real benefit is the boost in morale and team connection.

**What do you dislike about Bonusly?**

What I dislike about Bonusly is that sometimes the recognition can feel repetitive or surface-level—people may just give points out of habit without much thought or context. It would also be more impactful if there were stronger guidelines or prompts to tie recognitions to specific company values or goals. And while the reward system is nice, it might be helpful if there were more diverse or locally relevant reward options.

**What problems is Bonusly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bonusly helps solve the problem of underappreciation in the workplace. It encourages regular, visible recognition that might otherwise be overlooked in day-to-day operations. By making appreciation part of the routine, it improves morale, strengthens teamwork, and motivates people to do their best. For me personally, it’s a great way to feel valued and to acknowledge others’ efforts in a simple but meaningful way.
