I love the "bring a friend" prompt and the reminders that automatically go out via text and email. Also, when someone registers, they are given the other events to register. **What do you dislike about Mobilize?** Not able to customize the Thank you email. and add in the donate feature. **Recommendations to others considering Mobilize:** Think outside the box as there are many ways to utilize Mobilize for your events. You can pretty much create anything into an event. Mobilize was instrumental with helping us convert our in-person events to a virtual experience. **What problems is Mobilize solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are recruiting participants to our events from all over the country that we would never be able to reach. It is also very easy to update in real time as an admin, as well as to message those that sign up. Really wonderful. **What do you dislike about Mobilize?** Mobilize can send TOO many notices of an upcoming event- convoluting important messages needing to be sent by admins. **What problems is Mobilize solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mobilize is great politically to be able to reach a more senior constituency base that isn't as social media savvy. It breathes like a facebook invite, but is more email focused in sign ups and updates. Really great for all ages. ### 6. Since implementing mobilize we have seen an increase in overall engagement with our events. Mobilize has worked seamlessly with our other tools specifically DNC vote builder. When a volunteer registers for an event it is automatically logged by the API in their vote builder profile. Allowing us to see what democratic voters are the most engaged and which ones attend our events and those events specifically. The automated text reminder for upcoming events has significantly increased engagement since people get a reminder text automatically before the event is going to take place. By reminding volunteers beforehand we have seen better follow through and a lower flake rate overall. **What do you dislike about Mobilize?** Doesn't integrate with Facebook events, so you have to input that info twice. It's frustrating that Facebook doesn't automatically link with mobilize, so the work has to be done more than once. For example engagement significantly decreases since most volunteers only click attend on the Facebook event and never RSVP to the mobilize event also. It would be far easier if there was a Facebook API that directly linked Facebook events to the mobilize platform. This automated feature would significantly increase overall follow through regarding event attendence. This integration would significantly reduce our flake rate. An email RSVP integration for common CRMs like MailChimp would also significantly increase engagement overall. **Recommendations to others considering Mobilize:** Definitely use mobilize to increase your event engagement rates and volunteer follow through. You will likely see a 30% decrease in overall flake rate when switching to mobilize. **What problems is Mobilize solving and how is that benefiting you?** Increasing event engagement and follow through. Tracking volunteer engagement and overall follow through. The automated feature that texts users before an event has significantly decreased our flake rate. During COVID 19 we have switched to using mobilize for our virtual zoom meetings in order to increase engagement for our virtual events. Since implementation our engagement for our virtual events has doubled. The most difficult problem any Political organization will have is volunteer follow through. By reminding volunteers of upcoming events we are able to grantee a larger number of our overall volunteer base stays engaged by taking part in events consistently. ### 8. This helps us to effectively channel our volunteers into opportunities where they can be useful. This tool allows me to pick which campaigns and candidates we stream to ensure they are in keeping with our organization's ideological and political objectives. The interface is easy to use and intuitive. **What do you dislike about Mobilize?** Picking the campaign opportunites to stream through our page can be slow and cumbersome. There are so many that it takes quite a while to load and pick which ones to stream. This could be faster and would make this tool perfect. Also, it's not clear if all campaigns use this tool so there does leave a feeling that we are missing some opportunities if they aren't plugged in through Mobilize. **Recommendations to others considering Mobilize:** Set up administrators from your organization to help you manage the application. **What problems is Mobilize solving and how is that benefiting you?** Plugging volunteers into campaigns. The benefit is that we are able to find what campaign opportunities exist and sometimes we don't even realize. This is much easier than trying to reach out to individual campaigns and ask if they are looking for volunteers. It gives you access to the campaigns themselves. ### 9. I have used a variety of sign-up platforms and this proves to be the strongest yet. It's layout for a volunteer is super simple, encourages multiple sign-ups, and the reminder feature takes time off of my and my teams hands! **What do you dislike about Mobilize?** The primary things that I dislike about mobilize is it's connectivity with VAN and how to schedule in dates and times. VAN - wish you could designate if there are attendees/volunteers/ etc on mobilize while setting up because changes can't be made in VAN once made. For scheduling dates and times - I'd like to have an option where I can select multiple days and times so that I dont have to do a constant back and forth of adding times. It makes it more time consuming + allows for more human error. **Recommendations to others considering Mobilize:** Take time to better understand the platform and how you can utilize it in your work! **What problems is Mobilize solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mobilize has made it easier to relay event information for my region team's events and other regions - it allows our volunteers and attendees to get more involved across the state - especially during this digital era. The benefits is that we also have contact information localized in one sign up and with being able to contact vols/attendees through mobilize increases the efficiency of our work ### 10. And their client representatives are a joy to work with (shout out to Jocelyn and Chelsea)! They are always checking in to see how the platform can best be used, always available to answer questions, troubleshoot, and provide guidance and updates! They are also super flexible and always willing to provide trainings to new staff. **What do you dislike about Mobilize?** Nothing comes to mind! There is the membership pop up disclaimer that our organization needs for legal compliance -- if there is a way to make that smaller, that would be great. **Recommendations to others considering Mobilize:** Check out their online resources -- they are really helpful and go step by step to troubleshoot! **What problems is Mobilize solving and how is that benefiting you?** Great digital/online events platform that streamlines volunteer follow up, the ability to capture data and sync it to VAN/Salesforce! This really reduces the amount of time organizers have to spend on data and gives them more time to connect with volunteers ### 12. Very good layout and easy to use. Very helpful in increasing volunteer ladder of engagement and setting up new events as well as reaching out to all people signing up for an event or shift at once with necessary follow ups and information. Another thing I really like is the automatic reminders and confirmation emails, as well as the follow up sent after the shift to see how they felt about the experience. All of this is helpful in running things more smoothly on my end. **What do you dislike about Mobilize?** The lack of greater user control of its integration with Votebuilder and better manage the individual shift sign ups of volunteers beyond just cancelling or confirming. Overall, dont have too much to dislike about the service. Most things run very well and do what I need them to do. **Recommendations to others considering Mobilize:** No recommendations. Just to be sure to contact support or senior staff on your end to get help when you need! **What problems is Mobilize solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to have targeted, multi-day/time events and being able to reach several volunteers at once to increase engagement. It helps track individual volunteers as well, and the integration with NGPVAN, while at times cumbersome and confusing, is overall helpful in tracking the data needed for campaigning, recruitment, and engagement. ### 13. Before MobilizeAmerica, we had staff dedicated to chasing down events from campaigns, county parties, and other partners. Now, we click one button when they create their account and their events are promoted forever. No more calls or digging around on the internet for hours. It has freed up our team to focus on organizing. Big highlights for us are (1) Data syncs immediately with VAN. (2) Allows us to cross-promote events as part of our nationwide network of campaigns and progressive organizations. (3) Our volunteers receive text message and email reminders about your events to increase attendance. (4) Distributed organizing is when volunteers and activists plan and facilitate events in more than one location, or are allowed to host their own event across different locations for a single day of action, campaign and/or county party event. One last thing I love, the ability for us to offer MobilizeAmerica to all campaigns and county parties in Texas. **What do you dislike about Mobilize?** MobilizeAmerica could have better search features on the back and front ends. Searching for events has been hard during coronavirus and getting people to set the events up correctly on our end for virtual events. Also the search for accounts to promote, we are in Texas and only want to promote Texas-based accounts. Right now, we have to do a very weird work around to find new accounts to promote. I would like the ability to add our ActBlue ticketed fundraisers to MobilizeAmerica. Right now, we have a hybrid system to promote them and I think if we could get fundraisers added to MobilizeAmerica it would help a lot. **What problems is Mobilize solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lots of saved time.
