The program makes gift processing easy and efficient. The Financial Batch Manager, in particular, makes sorting and finding the records of donations a breeze. When it comes to making acknowledgments, the letters can be made straight from the site usually as opposed to having to use another program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many of the gifts being entered, especially regarding checks, have to be entered manually into the system as opposed to doing a bulk transfer. Also, while credit cards can be entered into a batch, only minimal information can be entered. When preparing donor acknowledgment letters, for some reason, after a couple of weeks, many of the merge fields in the letters will corrupt somehow, despite no change in the letters themselves or the merge fields. I like the sign up, petition and email action forms the best. Great customer support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reports are a bit clunky as well as the bulk uploads Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used it with different organizations and have always found it to be relatively user friendly. The trainings by customer support are thorough and informative. Since it is widely used implementing it is usually simple as people come with experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have always had a hard time with the email function, but generally it is a good tool. I do not use it as often as I should because of bugs with the email lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
EveryAction is a great out of the box people and events management tool, and I like how many add ons there are available-- often with multiple tiers available so I can pick what I actually need at the price my organization can afford. We use EveryAction to manage events, track information about our members, send emails, fundraise, generate reports, and create forms that folks can easily use to take action on important issues in our state. It integrates so nicely with many other tools we use as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do wish some things in EveryAction were more customizable-- I wish I had more control over user permissions beyond the user role system. The current user role options aren't sufficient for our needs. I also wish I could add our own how-to documentation right into EveryAction similar to Salesforce. User friendly design, helpful guides, customization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Help requests can take a lot of time to get responses back, missing some features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've used the CRM at several different organizations. It has a good, intuitive search function. I love the bcc to notes feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be expensive depending on the size of your donor base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a decent place to store contact information, and to the bare bones tracking is pretty simple after a rather complicated process of setting it up. There are much easier to learn and manage software options out there though Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a tough chore to set it up, and there is an incredibly steep learning curve. I consider myself to be computer and program savvy, and this was very complicated to get off the ground. The training/help section is an absolute joke and geared more towards very savvy software people to understand. Nothing is in lamens terms; it's all very technical. They're useless if you need help too; none of their support staff can answer a question easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
unique capabilities, e.g. access to voter rolls and demographic information.
the "ferrari" of such software, imho, more features than competitors, e.g., airtable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
there seem to be glitches when diff languages are needed. e.g., when collecting Address info for database, spanish language streets will return errors. this can sometimes present a big problem, as our org is based in southwest USA, with a lot of spanish-language place names.
more technical details: let's say we're looking for database entries who live on "123 Calle Pequeño" -- querying "streets that start with 'Calle'" will return no results, software seems to be interpreting the query as "Street Street". Don't even get me started on the n with a tilde, the dreaded ñ. Would love to see more language features built into the software, e.g. modelled on Tableau's localization and languages features.
EveryAction software has a pretty steep learning curve, imho, when considering that many users are also grassroots organizers. Again, as a resident of the SW USA, high-speed internet/wifi and mobile data 'dead zones' are everywhere, not to mention the digital divide.... language localization tools would greatly improve the product and the end-user's overall experience. I love how many features it offers, from maintaining your contact lists to creating forms that can categorize people into segments based on their interests or location. I like how we can create forms for in-person and virtual events synced with Zoom and have backend analytics to review our performance and improve as we go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface can be a bit hard to understand at times. There is a learning curve for some features, and the user experience could be improved. Finding what I'm looking for can be difficult. If the internal menus and dashboards could be made more user-friendly and straightforward, that would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Extremely helpful with segmenting direct mail, receiving direct mail performance results, donor retention, contribution acknowledgements and reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Soft crediting and correct listings of couples on recrods Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
