## Bolt.new Reviews
 ### 1. Nice Interface, But Opaque Credit Pricing Makes Refining Outputs Costly

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew E. | Director of Technical Projects, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Bolt.new?**

Bolt has a really nice interface. Although not necessarily anything that makes it stand out from the crowd, it's easy to understand how to start working with the tool on your project.

**What do you dislike about Bolt.new?**

Due to its credit system, Bolt has the least transparent pricing of it's competitors. They have monthly plans that make sense, but then prompts seem to gobble up credits like nobody's business if you don't hit the mark with revision 1. At the point you start trying to refine or debug an output you hit the "oops more money please" screen remarkably fast for all but the simplest of prompts.

**What problems is Bolt.new solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bolt is a great starting point for simple apps. I wouldn't say it is a good fit for web page designs or development from designs, but you might get lucky. When it works it delivers really quickly and it has a pretty decent set of integrations with tools like GitHub and Supabase that make pushing content to those platforms relatively easy for most basic work.

 ### 2. Bolt.new Turns Ideas Into Full-Stack Apps in Minutes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu J. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Bolt.new?**

What I like most about Bolt.new is how quickly it can turn an idea into a working application. I can describe what I want in natural language, and it generates a full-stack app (frontend, backend, and database) right in the browser.

**What do you dislike about Bolt.new?**

The biggest downside is that it can struggle with more complex, production-level applications. Even though it can generate full apps, the depth and reliability aren’t always consistent when you scale up to larger projects.

**What problems is Bolt.new solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bolt.new solves the problem of slow and complex development setup. Instead of setting up environments, writing boilerplate code and wiring everything manually, you can go from idea to working app in minutes.

 ### 3. Not ready for any production level projects.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian G. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Bolt.new?**

You can choose which Claude model you'd like to use based on the complexity of your needs.

**What do you dislike about Bolt.new?**

The most frustrating part of using Bolt is the support. It simply doesn't exist. Weeks to get a response via email, and the Discord community is a hellscape.

**What problems is Bolt.new solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bolt's tagline is "Create stunning apps & websites by chatting with AI". While it does produce esthetically pleasing outputs, don't expect to build anything with real functionality. Currently Bolt.new is creating headaches and solving zero problems.

 ### 4. Bolt.new Brings Next-Gen AI to Application Development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris H. | Senior Manager - Latin America & the Caribbean, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Bolt.new?**

It’s a new generation of AI tools being applied to application development.

**What do you dislike about Bolt.new?**

So far, I haven’t encountered any significant issues during my use of Bolt.new.

**What problems is Bolt.new solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bolt is helping me learn how to use an AI tool to quickly prototype applications for startup business plans. It’s been a useful way to understand the process and move from ideas to early prototypes faster.

 ### 5. Effortless Coding with Interactive Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DHYANAM S. | It Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Bolt.new?**

I use Bolt.new for vibe coding and software development because it's interactive, and I don't have to type all the code myself. I like its format, logic, and all features and connections. Using Firebase Studio with it is a breeze, and it's beneficial that it integrates directly with the services I use for development. The initial setup is really easy.

**What do you dislike about Bolt.new?**

Well, the agent itself can be improved.

**What problems is Bolt.new solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bolt.new because it's interactive, so I don't have to type all the code myself, and it integrates well with services I use for development, like Firebase Studio.

 ### 6. Nice way to start and build a software project using AI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt B. | Founder / Consultant / Product Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Bolt.new?**

It is very approachable, easy to use. I am able to spin up an idea and play with it quickly, to verify whether this is what I want to build.

**What do you dislike about Bolt.new?**

The context window gets a little out of control sometimes so you are burning credits when your project is being built. I tried to do their trick of forking in StackBlitz and bringing it back, but that didn't really solve my problem when I wanted to get the code back into my git repo, I had to remember how to rsync.

**What problems is Bolt.new solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Proofs of concept for projects and building out websites for friends and clients.
