Oncve understood, BOARD is so simple to create new models on and it inspires confidence to really try to create something that does not yet exist.
The versatility of the software means that complex models can be created which provide users with the ability to enter their own data, stored in the OLAP db but also saved to the RDB. This makes available all of the data from one system in another system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is very easy to get into and so it allows a great self service BI. Users can just jump in. Most of it is self explaining. That's quite the exception when it comes to BI tools.
More complexity is still possible and allows for a differentiation of reports. This is always important as people will, in time, want to have some standard reports that provide more/better displayed data than what can be achieved with basic knowledge. And here is where the great community comes in; support on the board pages by board users is excellent.

It seems that many of the newer features are developed as islands. Sometimes they lack integration with the rest of the system. What comes to mind is the for computations of data there are "column algorithm", "nexel formulas", "rules", "analytical functions" just for the data display.
