BNY Mellon NEXEN is an easy to use, multi-dimensional and competent custodian portal **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021 **What do you like best about BNY Mellon NEXEN?** The BNY Mellon Nexen portal is easy to use, responsive and much-improved compared to the BNY Mellon Workbench platform. You can save and schedule reports with ease and submit forms with saved templates. BNY Mellon invests in new technology and listens to its clients' feedback when prioritizing projects. BNY Mellon NEXEN has a reliable performance engine and the BNY Mellon team have developed an estimated performance reporting dashboard that really filled a need for us. We view BNY Mellon as a trusted partner and the effort they put into building the NEXEN platform really shows. BNY Mellon NEXEN also has developed customizable dashboards that users can save and configure specific to their needs. For daily custody needs, you can monitor cash balances and keep track of outgoing wires. On the investment performance side, you can visualize trailing returns against benchmarks with ease. There are dozens of other widgets available to choose from to make the dashboard landing page your own. The user interface is very easy to navigate to access account level or portfolio level reporting. **What do you dislike about BNY Mellon NEXEN?** There is not much to dislike about BNY Mellon Nexen. The reporting is consistent and reliable. On rare occasions, when there was some issue to deal with, our relationship team addressed the problems in a timely fashion. For example, we recently ran into an issue with one of the excel add in reports that was built for our team. The issue was raised to our reporting consultant and reviewed with the technology team. They quickly identified the cause of the reporting bug and scheduled a fix to resolve the issue. **Recommendations to others considering BNY Mellon NEXEN:** NEXEN is a competent custodian portal. Having been a user of many of the other large custodian web portals in the past, I can confirm BNY Mellon NEXEN holds up well compared to its peers. BNY Mellon has invested in the platform and is very thoughtful with their product develpoment resources. **What problems is BNY Mellon NEXEN solving and how is that benefiting you?** BNY Mellon NEXEN provides timely and accurate reporting. The platform addresses needs for accounting, performance, and custody reporting for institutional asset allocators. We realize many benefits from using NEXEN on a daily basis. Excel plug-in reporting is an easy way to update and aggregate our data. Standard cash balance and transaction reporting is scheduled and delivered by email which saves time for other tasks. Also these reports are encrypted and secure! We can easily run any ad-hoc reporting inquiries as well. Nexen has a number of different dashboard available that can be configured to different user types of our organization.
