I used it in my school and college days to learn the basics of programming. It then had a very easy-to-understand UI, with limited functionalities like a Java editor that catches syntax errors on the go and options to compile and run the code. It did not support any opportunity to add plugins then. It's an open-source tool, free and lightweight, that can be easily downloaded from the internet.
