What do you like best about BlueJ?

What do you like best about BlueJ?

The best thing about BlueJ is that it is free and an excellent option for beginners. It can easily be installed on Windows, MacOS, Debian and a bunch of other operating systems.It is simple and allows the programmer to interact with objects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlueJ?

Although BlueJ is simple to use, it is not the most efficient as you have to constantly change windows to create or add a class and then compile the code. It is also not the most easy-on-the-eyes and there are better looking IDEs available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BlueJ solving and how is that benefiting you?

BlueJ is excellent for programmers in a learning environment as it is designed for teaching. It has helped me not only to learn Java programming but also allowed me to teach it to my students in an effective manner since it has been designed with good pedology in mind. What do you like best about BlueJ?

Personal, I feel like blueJ is one of the best integrated development environment software for java programming. It's great for education development as it is easy to use and can be learnt quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlueJ?

As blueJ is very basic, it is not intricate enough to perform complex and time consuming tasks. I does not have the facilitys that other java IDs provide when structuring and importing class/methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Must Have for Beginners"

What do you like best about BlueJ?

Wowwww!

I have been in the industry for almost 3 years and have worked on dozens of polished code editors but this masterpiece is the champion of them all. This is not just a code editor, this can be a very very efficient tool in your understanding of Java Language. It graphically shows you what is there in your project using different graphical terminologies. You can see the inherited classes, the interfaces, enums and the connection between various classes. BlueJ is designed to put the imaginary things on the IDE Dashboard. BlueJ is simply awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlueJ?

I haven't find any significant problems with this IDE. But if I consider its use in production environment, it is not feasible. It is developed for learning and understanding purpose and cannot be used in any production ready environment. But, there are many scopes of improvements in this product. As it is developed under a project of some University, I wish that they will provide future upgrades to this IDE so that people will enjoy learning Java Programming Language.
