**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Being able to edit forms and data very easily, and the ability to do "bulk update" and being able to edit multiple things at once.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

That I can't do a bulke update to change data dates and if I want to change dates of donations coming in then I have to go through them 1 by 1

Donations coming in automatically and the ability to generate reports and send receipts through bloomerang easily.

I like the ease with which I can create letters and I like the flexibility to run detailed reports based on what I need.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang is a comprehensive CRM for any sized organization. It contains a powerful Moves Management module, the tools help you focus on donor retention and donor cultivation, and it's all rolled up into an intuitive, easy-to-use system. I love the dashboard charts, goals management, householding feature, and seamless wealth management tools (additional subscription needed) for each constituent.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

If you are an education nonprofit, Bloomerang is not the best choice as it doesn't readily keep track of schools attended (alumni relations) and other education advancement tools. However, it is very easy to add custom fields and place them in the module needed.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bloomerang is a comprehensive CRM for contact management, donor relations, cultivation, relationship management, and communication. It has enabled us to really nurture our constituents by providing excellent visibility to the whole constituent record -- donations, other contributions, events, appeals, email and direct communication, as well as an overview of total contributions by campaign, appeal, event, or fund.

Being able to interact with the data and pull any information from the database is huge! I can answer almost any questions in less than a minute by using the reporting. I love having the API to interface with custom integrations.

Bloomerang is great, but they are not fast about making changes to the product that would help the end user.

Love the customer service, customazation of the database, integration with email, and the way they value client feedback and are constantly working to improve.

Paper records are no more, can easily look up info wherever I am about our donors. Love integrating appeal campaigns with the system and tracking who received what as well as being able to personalize appeals and keep notes on changes to donor profiles.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

We value how Bloomerang integrates with Quickbooks online. We also love the email functions and ease of use when it comes to online forms.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

The membership aspect of the software does not work very well. It is too dependant on data entry by our org. staff and creates duplicates every time a donor interacts with forms. Customer support is becoming overburdened since their purchase of Kindful.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bloomerang has allowed us to decrease redundancy of data entry, which allows our staff to be much more efficient. The report functions are great and have led to us having a better understanding of our client base and identify potential donors who have supported in the past but have not been asked to re-engage.

The combination of functionality and ease of use is well suited to a nonprofit of our size. Also, great tech support.

The Bloomerang email platform is a little clunky, especially as compared to Constant Contact or something along those lines.

Bloomerang is making it possible for us to maintain a single database for virtually everyone who interacts with our nonprofit. We hope that adopting Bloomerang Volunteer this fall will increase the functionality further.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

I use Bloomerang almost everyday and it's greatly improved the efficiency of ou donor management. The user interface is very good and the use of graphics is helpful for quick snapshots. The setup was simple and the ability to bulk upload transactions and bulk update constituents is great. The customer support team has been helpful and quick and the online articles are a great resource.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang's event management tool (Kindful) has a very limited capacty. I would love to see it developed into something more comparable to EventBrite. Key features would be promo codes, scheduled ticket pricing instead of creating a separate ticket for Early Bird pricing, sponsorship ticketing, and pay by invoice.

Other features that would be great:
A donor portal that allows donors to create their profile, update contact info, and make changes to their donation schedules

Integrating an email accounts so that donor communication is automatically documented 

Bulk updates to donations to mark them as acknowledged

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bloomerang has helped streamline our donor management and allowed us to get the data we need.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

I have worked with various donor management systems. Every one takes a bit to figure out and get used to, and Bloomerang makes it incredibly easy to get set-up and start raising funds. Not only is their customer service incredibly responsive and helpful, but they also provide a community and education tools that help you become a great fundraiser. I can't recommend them enough!

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang is still flushing out some of it's newer integrations, but they have a strong track record of getting these things resolved, so you can do your job efficiently and effectively.

Bloomerang makes it easy to keep track of your relationships with donors. They've thought of every step along the way in your donor journey from discovery to qualification to solicitation to stewardship.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang is user friendly, with reports that are easy to create and run, visualizations of relevant data such as engagement and wealth, with an integrated email blast and donation form platform. Customer support is great. The folks who help us set it up were great. We use it every day.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang does not currently have an automated email function. Its integration with Kindful is a bit clunky and lacks the ability to customize the donor experience as much as we'd like.

It's allowing us to better and more easily track our interactions with constituents, and we like that those interactions are part of an algorithm Bloomerang uses to measure engagement.

We chose Bloomerang because it is intuitive and easy to use. We have some staff members/volunteers w/limited tech skills and they are very comfortable w/Bloomerang! Excellent customer service with great help resources and discussion threads.

Limited options for tracking events. Graphics capabilities for email/printed material tools are very limited.

**Recommendations to others considering Bloomerang CRM:**

There are more powerful DMS out there. This one balances ease-of-use with databasing power and tools. For us, it's the perfect software!

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved from a very old version of Gold Mine, a CRM. We use Bloomerang to track donors and we've developed a useable work-around to track sales of our materials. Bloomerang has improved our regular communication with our donors and partners and significantly improved the "look" of our email and print interactions. We've gotten a number of positive comments on the noticeable improvement in the quality/professionalism of our digital/print material and most of that is directly attributable to Bloomerang.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

The best thing about Bloomerang is the amount of time that has been decreased by pulling reports. Usually pulling a report for our year-end campaigns could take an hour or so, but now the amount of time has decreased drastically. I just finished pulling all the consituents I needed for our year-end campaign within minutes. I also like the integration of NCOA, which also helps with less letters that are sent back.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

The one thing about Bloomerang I wish could be improved would be the "household" category. It's more an issue of trying to just pull the first names of a household (ex. John & Mary Smith is the household name, but there's no option to add a column that just reads "John and Mary" to integrate into letters, like we do)

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that Bloomerang solved was the fact that the interface is extremely user-friendly. Even staff members who haven't watched any of the Bloomerang information videos can easily look consituents up and add and access past notes about the constituent.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Overall Bloomerang is a great product for a small nonprofit.  It's easy to use.  It's easy to implement. It integrates with Quickbooks online, it handles various funds for your nonprofit. It really does everything we need it to do.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang just started charging a 1% fee on every donation that you enter into their donor database.  So now even donors who give by check, credit card, stock, wire transfer -- all receive a 1% fee.

We just received a $15,000 check from a generous donor, and now the minute we enter this into our Bloomerang database it generates a bill at the end of the month for our nonprofit to pay Bloomerang $150.  Our cost for Bloomerang for our non-profit that generates about $250,000 in donations just went up this year by $2,500.

Also, lately Bloomerang has been really pushing its users to move away from Stripe and move to Bloomerang payments.  They still charge the new 1% transaction fee even if you move off of Stripe to Bloomerang payments. Also, even though Stripe supports ACH / e-check payments, Bloomerang forces you to use the Bloomerang payment manager to accept ACH / e-check payments where they charge % fees.

It really covers everything that we need for our nonprofit for a CRM solution.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang is a terrific, easy to use, donor database.  My hands down favorite part about this company is the exceptional customer service!  As someone that is not comfortable with software, I rely heavily on Bloomerang support.  They have terrific staff that are always patient and very thorough.  They have a "teach a man to fish" style where they walk you through things step by step and have you perform the task.  I always feel like I am learning and walk away more confident!

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I have Kindful as part of my Bloomerang package.  There are some applications that I need Kindful for but I am not happy with the way the donor receipt in Kindful is not customizable.  It is just a transactional receipt which we know is not good donor stewardship.  Right now I combat it by following up with a Bloomerang email that is warmer.  But it would be great to have that first receipt as my warm touch.

Being able to track donors and communicate with them monthly through emails is terrific.  We also use it for our peer fundraising event annually.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

I love the reporting and integration aspects of Bloomerang. We can use Bloomerang as our Donor and Supporter CRM, as our Volunteer portal, as our reporting mechanism for all things Development, and as our email Communications platform, all within one system that talks to each part and also integrates with QuickBooks Online and Zapier and Squarespace and a handful of other third party vendors we employ.

It's easy to use the "Add constituent" features, search for constituents (even if you are close to their name but don't know it exactly or have a misspelling), and adding new donor transactions and interactions.

The Bloomerang Customer Support is very quick to respond as well, always responding within 24 hours with very helpful information that has been game changing in our implementation and problem solving.

We use Bloomerang literally every day, multiple times a day, and it has been transformative for our organization.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

There's a bit of a learning curve with the Reporting features, as it is very robust. The time spent to get over the hump is worth it though, in what you can dial in on and uncover when it comes to your own data.

I wish the integration with Squarespace was native without having to go through Zapier, as the integrations with Zapier are a little tricky, but that's as much an issue with Zapier as Bloomerang.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a way through Bloomerang to track all of our financial donations, gifts-in-kind, donor inquiries, relational transactions, volunteers, reporting and communications. It's a robust system with a lot of moving parts, all of which talk to one another.

Bloomerang is very user-friendly and has helped us streamline donations and get to know our donors better through analytics of giving trends and easy-to-manage tasks for stewardship. The customer support team is very responsive and timely about follow up if they cannot solve the issue in the moment. The integration was a thorough process with effective data mapping and minimal cleanup.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang donation forms don't look as professional as the Kindful forms. Ideally, we'd like to be using Bloomerang donation forms, but the Kindful forms embed more seamlessly into our website and are customizable to our brand colors.

Bloomerang has helped us clean up our data through NCOAA updates. It has also allowed us better tracking of our stewardship approaches and  moves management through the task feature.

The platform is very user-friendly. I can create beautiful emails and track the results. The DonorSearch option is excellent and helpful to segment for larger gifts.

Bloomerang allows me to manage our CRM, digital marketing, and online giving strategies very easily. This is very important for a small nonprofit staff. There are many things you can do with Bloomerang with all of the various features that are available. In addition, it's something that works well with our website and other products that we use. Again, it's so very easy to use.

The tiered pricing strategy was a little unclear when I first started using Bloomerang. You have to be mindful of the size of your database. However, the billing department provided the support that I needed very quickly and answered all of my questions.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

There are many options in Bloomerang which make my life as the financial Officer of a small non-profit easier. Once I enter a donation, a thank you is automatically generated and the funds are recorded in Quickbooks. Also, we have created many custom letters that can be personalized to each constituent. We also send out a weekly email, and are able to see the stats of each one. There are standard reports, plus we can create custom reports to fit our specific needs.

When we suggest a new feature, it may take a long time before it is considered to be added.

When a donation does not sync to quickbooks, I can easily get an answer as to why so that I can fix the problem.

It was the disconnect with Kindful - unfortunately we couldn't run reports straight from Kindful. also the Bloomerang events module isn't great, but now that they are partnering with QGiv+ they are evolving!

Bloomerang is a good CRM with many powerful tools that can be customized for almost everything you need.

During our transition from the old CRM to Bloomerang, they made a huge mistake in syncing donors with their credit card numbers and charged all our recurring donors the wrong amounts. We have a few donors who give $500 a month, and those amounts were charged to other folks! Can you imagine? It was extremely embarrassing for our organization. I just got notice that they are hiking up all transaction fees. Not cool. Non-profits are already paying huge donation fees, and Bloomerang is already expensive. We feel nickel and dimed.

Bloomerang allows us to track constituent interactions much better. We can provide a much more sophisticated and tailored donor experience.

I've had a lot of experience with donor databases, but Bloomerang is far and away the most functional and helpful I have ever used. We are relatively new to the Bloomerang client list, but I cannot express how thankful I am that we found it! It is very cost effective as it offers several solutions you'd have to pay for a la carte otherwise; the team at Bloomerang is very helpful and made converting our data over such a breeze. I highly recommend them to anyone who asks. Best decision I've ever made as a Development professional was switching our database to Bloomerang!

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

A little on the pricey side, but if you can find ways to cut costs in other areas you no longer will need to pay for because of the inclusive nature of Bloomerang, it's easy to make it work!

**Recommendations to others considering Bloomerang CRM:**

Make sure you take the time to clean up your database before conversion, and watch all of the helpful videos and tutorials they send in advance! We are excited about our conversion but cannot stress enough how important it is to have CLEAN data for an import!

It's much easier to track our donor engagement with the organization (not just their gifts!) and we enjoy the household feature a lot.

I've used a lot of CRMs including RE, Donorperfect, and others. Compared to those, bloomerang is by far the best, easiest to use, and comes with some great resources and support. They frequently add or update features that are helpful.

Like most CRMs, they still have some kinks to work out. Reports can be complicated and don't always do what you want them to. Constituent profiles and interactions are a little clunky. I wish there was a way to pin specific profile or interaction information about a donor so that it stands out in their timeline.

Bloomerang is very user-friendly and easy to use, especially compared to platforms like Raiser's Edge, which I've also used. Reports are MUCH easier to make, bulk emails are easy to create and send out. What is truly amazing is the support from the Bloomerang team. When I come across something I don't know how to do, there is great online documentation, but even better is that I can start an online support 'chat' through which someone connects with me pretty much instantly and helps me figure out what to do. This is incredibly invaluable, as often I need to figure out something quickly. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. As with any donor management platform, it takes some time to get used to the different ways of achieving tasks, but Bloomerang is by far the best and easiest donor management platform I have used.

There are some limitations compared to Raiser's Edge, but I have found that through work-arounds, I can do everything necessary.

With the built in defaults, Bloomerang is very helpful in keeping me focused on what is truly important with our contributors and constituents, which have resulted in higher engagement rates, which is one of our main goals. The support team is very responsive with myself and my team. Implementation is also very easy. They held our hand through the entire data import/account set up stage.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang has some great payment processing functionality. Unfortunately, it's tricky, if not impossible to bring into brand compliance. It would be great if that could be improved. We use a 3rd party recommended by Bloomerang for the payment processing piece, primarily because the 3rd party page is a bit closer to brand. The Bloomerang default is a bit too "code" looking.

Donor records and engagement. I like how easy reports are to pull and all the filters. The dashboard is helpful for quick snapshots of information and the task tracking is great for us to divide engagement between staff.

We use it for our email marketing - I wish it had more features for reporting on email performance like MailChimp and easier workflow/automations.

Interactions can be logged, created from tasks or letters, and even synced with our email as a bcc copy to show communication. **What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang is incredibly user-friendly and they have so many training videos to help everyone learn how to use it and how to level up their use as well. Any time I have had a question, customer service has gotten back to me very quickly and has been very kind and helpful. We use Bloomerang daily at my organization to log donor interactions and keep track of donations.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I wish it had integration with Instrumentl, but that may be coming!

Bloomerang helps us keep track of our donors and fundraising, as well as helping us by being cloud-based (so we can work on it from anywhere!).

Bloomerang is intuitive.  They provide a lot of training and assistance to accomplish tasks necessary for your work.

Bloomerang does not offer as many tools as some of the other CRM's.  Their pricing is reasonable and many more tools are being added.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Super easy-to-use interface. Reports are configurable to get the details you need. The dashboard is a fabulous all-in-one view of where you are from a Fundraising perspective. I love being able to see a complete view of a donor to prepare before meetings, and the ability to see it on a mobile device is even better. We are still new, 9 months in, so we have a long way to go to get full usage out of the tool. First-level support is gracious and quick to respond. They are helpful for all the things they can handle themselves.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

We have had a number of issues with our integrations with Quickbooks and synching. Most of the time, my issues have to be escalated to a 2nd tier of support and that is when it can get pretty difficult. They are backed up most of the time and it can take a long time for them to provide a response and/or resolution. The Quickbooks integration is clunky and although we are still working through a number of issues, I'm unsure if it is actually a timesaver or not. It took me 9 months to get the integration setup because I was waiting on their integration team just to find out that I didn't need to and could move forward without them. I requested a discount or credit because I had to manually enter in both systems for those 9 months we were waiting and the answer I got was No. I'm disappointed in their support, services, and integration teams.

Bloomerang helps us to have a holistic view into a donor from beginning to end and into the future. This is extremely helpful from a donor management and fundraising perspective.
