**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

It is very easy to use.  It does have great qualities for the members that are in the system.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I do not like that you can't copy and paste certain images into the email communication.  We have had to create something through Canva and than upload it as a picture to be able to include certain characters.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this moment, I haven't had issues with the system

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

What I most like about Bloomerang is the ease of navigating to find needed information.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

The upside is that Bloomerang is constantly improving. The downside is I must then stay up to date. Im not a daily user so staying up to speed is sometimes a challenge.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been a user for over a decade. We stick with Bloomerang because we feel they listen and desire to constantly improve the user's experience. This is certainly true from my perspective.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang is the perfect balance of robust, but user friendly. As a small shop, it's important that we don't spend too much time having to update/clean up our database each day & Bloomerang makes that easy. We LOVE how Bloomerang is always introducing more features and how users have the ability to vote on features they want.

The whole process is very simple & customer support is always super helpful. Overall, we are very happy with Bloomerang!

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang does lack some features that bigger CRM's have, however, a lot of those bigger CRM's require someone trained to manage them. Are there things we wish Bloomerang did, yes... but does that make us want to switch, absolutely not.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As Bloomerang has acquired tools like QGiv, they have really become a one-stop shop. We use Bloomerang for every aspect of our fundraising.

The lack of keyboard shortcuts that would allow me to quickly tab through to the fields I need. I lose time moving my hand between the keyboard and the mouse when entering new donations (we still receive lots of paper checks.)

Bloomerang is the most intuitive system I have used for fundraising. I love how customizable it is, it makes me feel so much ownership over my product and like I was a subject matter expert in no time! Even when I do have a question or am trying to figure out the best way to run a report, the chat feature has been easy to use and so helpful! I can't recommend Bloomerang enough!

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

It's honestly difficult to think of things I dislike about Bloomerang. Whenever I run into a roadblock, the team is there to help me work through it.

Our previous CRM and donor management system were not intuitive and always felt like fitting a square peg in a round hole. Since working with Bloomerang, we were able to really make the system our own and ensuring that the data we're getting back through reporting is consistent. It has been a game changer!

The web-based product is easy to use and extremely convenient. I like the dashboards it contains too.

I don't like the fact that when you click on the email address in Bloomerang that it doesn't include the text of the message when it is saved in the form.

Setting up report filters is complicated

With the many features that Bloomerang offers, it is easy to have an overall sense of our consitutents, their level of engagement, and what action steps should be taken for good stewardship.
The report feature is very helpful too, especially for being able to produce informatino for our CEO and the Board of Directors.  And, when  I've encountered "roadblocks" , I've found it easy to get help from Bloomerang's technical support team.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

There's nothing I like about Bloomerang.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang is an old, outdated CRM with barely functional features, terrible customer service, and broken promises. Bloomerang has online forms that are not functional at all so you have to purchase an upgrade to get functional forms. We purchased two add-ons (Give+ and DonorSearch) and they didn't turn those features on for over 10 months. I have reached out via the chat and email NUMEROUS times and at times, it takes 3-5 days to get a response. Other times, I don't get a response at all. Their platform is not user friendly at all and you often have to take steps in multiple places to accomplish one thing. Due to the breech in contract on their side (not providing Give+ and DonorSearch for over 10 months), I've requested early cancellation of our contract and they refuse. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Created more problems instead of solving them.

I am able to track donors from across a long timeline. I find creating reports and being able to customize them to be extremely helpful. I would be remiss if I didn't say that one of the reasons to switch to Bloomerang was cost consideration.

An app to do some things on a mobile device would be ideal.

I think the best feature is when I am notified of a new donor and suggestion of creating a donor call.

Bloomerang has been great with helping us communicate with our donors and ensure everything is accounted for. We are easy able to pull information to reflect our yearly impact reports. I use this platform everyday.

It was hard in the beginning to really grasp all the features. Now I many just struggle with creating reports that match the exact information I need.

Setting tasks for myself, ability to create opportunities and moves management in donor profiles.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

The transaction vs constituent reports can be confusing, especially when trying to pull certain data. I have utilized the live chat many times.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping me on track with where I am with my donors in my portfolio. Easy to see informational notes in households and assign myself constituents as needed.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

The infinite number of variations on reports

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Customer service is quite slow and unevern. Sometimes it's excellent, sometimes it's average and a few times it was very bad. I had to wait 2 weeks once for a query to be answered.

There is also no good customer support for the Fundraise Up integration. We have been going around in circles try to fix some minor things which cause us to put in extra hours of work every month. 

Native email analytics are poor - and the integration with Mailchimp was just updated. MailChimp emails to the Bloomerange audience are no longer visibile in Bloomerang. There is absolutely no way to easily track the number of emails going out every month:  to individuals, mass emails from Bloomerang and mass emails from MailChimp. 

Surveys, wow, noncustomizable in any way. Both content and targeting (timing and groups) is either on or off  and only adress 3 groups: Lapsed donors, New donors, Existing donors.  Surveys sent through MailChimp get recorded more indirectly, therefore are much harder to integrate in Bloomerang reporting.

Donor analytics through reports.  Profiling donors.It's pretty good with that.

So many free learning opportunities, great customer service, and it's easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I wish pledge payments could look up commitments made on separate records. And there needs to be a way to filter out mass emails!

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Event registration wasn't working great so we've added Qgiv now that it integrates. Much better!

After nearly 20 years with a different program that was overly complex and hard to navigate, we switched to Bloomerang—and we've been extremely satisfied ever since. Bloomerang does have an internal email communications feature, but it's not as robust as MailChimp or Constant Contact. We're still using it regularly, but we are hoping for some upgrades to that feature over time.

I like that the database of our donors can be very specific, that we can send emails to them through Bloomerang and not have to create a separate listing in our email platform, and most features are easy to use. I also get a lot out of their webinars.

I would like to have a little more creative ability in creating the emails, but I'm learning to work around some of that. Not everything in Bloomerange seems logical and it is not perfect but part of that is my using it for only 9 months or so after using another platform for 6 years.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

I use Bloomerang daily in my work. Bloomerang was immediately easy to use. The way it is organized is intuitive and easy to navigate. The out-of-the-box dashboards are interesting and good snapshots of where the org is at with fundraising. They also had a good process with the initial import of the data from our other database. I had a point person that I met with 3-4 times and communicated with many other times with concerns and questions until we were done. 
I also appreciate how although the database isn't set up for tracking grants, I, and I think many other small nonprofits, need to use it that way. So instead of telling us it is not possible, they figured out a way to do it using custom fields and then they occasionally hold a webinar about how to do it. I think that shows that they really understand what it is like to be on a small nonprofit fundraising team.
Finally, I don't use the customer support all that often, but when I do, it's very easy and all but one time, the person I dealt with was knowledgable and could address my problem. The one time the customer person couldn't help me, just the act of discussing it with them, helped me solve the problem myself.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I don't like that some things are not customizable. For instance there are three out-of-the-box surveys but some of the questions in the survey do not fit with our organization's culture and therefore we don't feel like we can use them. But you either have to use the whole survey or nothing. And we would love to collect cell phone numbers when people decide to join our email newsletter, however, we cannot add Bloomerang fields to the forms. I find that odd.
They were not helpful when it was time to renew. They quoted me the wrong price and they were just going to charge a credit card that wouldn't have worked and that wasn't how we paid for it the first year. I gave feedback to them about the lack on process for this, hopefully it will go more smoothly next year.

Bloomerang does a great job tracking donations and acknowledgements. We also use it for our email communications. The software does a great job tracking engagement, and not just donations. If someone opens emails and clicks on links or visits our website, it counts towards their engagement score. We use the Kindful add-on for four seperate landing pages for different websites that we operate and it is easy to set up with their tutorials and instructions and always works.

Bloomerang makes it easy to keep track of transactions and interactions with constituents. I love how I can segment customers using the vast amount of data collected and the filters available for reporting.

The biggest area of potential for the work that I do is in email analytics. I'd like to see email engagement statistics at the individual constituent level, similar to what is available in MailChimp. I would also like to be able to send individual emails from within a profile and have the same analytics as with a bulk email.

Bloomerang consolidates all transactions and interactions with constituents into an easy to read profile for each individual. All data related to a constituent is filterable for creating useful segments that can acted upon. We are very small right now and do not have any dedicated fundraising personnel. As we grow, the foundation we're building in Bloomerang will serve as a springboard for an effective fundraising strategy.

Very user-friendly and easy to navigate. Everything is simple to find on profiles and made so easy for a donor relations person to look at it, while reports are so easy to understand and create. We had incorrect data before, but now it's so simple to use and we don't always have to put in tickets for information.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

Really wish we could change some of the interaction fields in the purpose. They do not fit our needs and it's disappointing you cannot add to them. It would be fine if we did could change those, but we should be able to add to them. I also deeply miss the chat feature. Reports for first-time donors need some changes. We want to see transactions and constituents on a report not separated. It has made one of our processes extremely manual now since there is no report to get what we need and Bloomerang support said the same.

Our organization converted to Bloomerang, beginning last November and were fully operational by March of this year. While migrating to a new database is an arduous task, but Bloomerang support has made the transition as seemless as possible. So far, everything about the transition has been positive: the reporting function, dashboard and customer support team , etc. Also, I have happily adapted to the communications tool provided by Bloomerang, as an all inclusive CRM.

There is really nothing that I can point to yet, as something that I dislike about Bloomerang. It's been quite user-friendly and customer support has been easy to contact when I do have any questions.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Bloomerang is very helpful with recording donations for non-profits.  I love the newer feature for groups.  I've found it very useful.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I think that the soft credits can becoming confusing to users especially when you need to explain them to audit teams and how they can affect a donor's account.  

I wish your training were easier to find before you re-organized the website.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to capture what donors are donating and what donors are not donating over which time periods.  We are able to capture what grants we are receiving and we grants we are not receiving.  We are able to target our fundraising efforts.  We also have the separate module for volunteers and are just starting to get that off the ground.

Bllomerang is simple to use, helps us with donor managment, communication, and  the trainings offered are great.

I don' tlike getting pricing changes without notice.

Bloomerang keeps all of our donor information in one place. It makes it easier to communicate with and engage our donors.

Bloomerang is easy to use, and if you do have any questions, their customer support team is top notch!

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

There are a few features that are lacking, but there seems to be work arounds for most needs.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We like the fact that it is a fairly complete database and user friendly. We can send out emails and record notes which keeps our donor profile up-to-date. The database is easy to segment for special communications. Overall, it has made it easier to keep in touch with our donors properly.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

I like how easy it is to use Bloomerang to enter donations, thank you letters, and run reports. I use it at my job every day. It's definitely user friendly. I also really love the resources and training that Bloomerang provides. They truly provide insider insights from professionals in the nonprofit world.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I dislike that I don't have full control over my database. It's nice that they added Bulk Update functionality, but it's limited to updating the Campaign, Fund or Appeal. I'd like more power and control over our data when necessary. I also dislike the new 1% transaction fee for any donations processed via Bloomerang's payment platform. The support chat feature used to be better. Now, the connection is a bit unstable and wait times are longer. Still, it's a good feature to have!

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bloomerang is helping us have access to our donor data anywhere, anytime. It is helping us receive donations, track acknowledgments, and segment donors to target for future donations. It is benefiting me by making my work a bit more streamlined.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

Overall the database is easy to use and retrieve information.  If I ever need help, I can contact Bloomerang help through live chat or email.  Quick response time if I use email.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I have not found a way to see the current year of an ongoing campaign on the dashboard.

**Recommendations to others considering Bloomerang CRM:**

Talk to the people at Bloomerang - they are impressive!  The support people are top-notch!

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have information at my fingertips at ALL times!  When a donor has a question about a past gift, I can look it up as we chat.
I also like that I can create lots of notes and ideas with dates to complete in Bloomerang.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

I start and end my day with Bloomerang.  Bloomerang  is intuitive and visually appealing.  For us, we were transitioning away from spreadsheets and wanted a software that we could grow with.  Pricing was both affordable for our organization's budget and didn't compromise on functionality in a lower price bracket.  Bloomerang was easy to implement and the customer support since implementation has been great.  I also appreciate the webinars and online community boards!  The data upload feature is a breeze to use and the Bloomerang team was helpful to create templates for our repeat uploads like payroll donation.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

I wish some of their add ons, such as peer to peer, fundraising were available in Canada.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Bloomerang, everything was in spreadsheets and not well documented.  We weren't able to prospect well or keep track of donors preferences.  Since adopting Bloomerang, I've been able to manage campaigns, individual donors, company sponsors and report on progress.

**What do you like best about Bloomerang CRM?**

I love all the classes/training that Bloomerang has.  They have a wide varity so I can always find what I am looking for to learn.   I also like the way Bloomerang is laid out and easy to view.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

This is fairly minor but when loading images into the email  template,  I always click upload, which then takes you to files that you have already saved in Bloomerang, instead of remembering to just drap and drop the image from my computer. I just automatically think upload.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bloomerang helps us manage our donor database.   I apprecaiate the statistics and analytics it provides.   It also helps me keep track of what correspondance needs to go out to donors, such as Thank Yous.

Being able to edit forms and data very easily, and the ability to do "bulk update" and being able to edit multiple things at once.

That I can't do a bulke update to change data dates and if I want to change dates of donations coming in then I have to go through them 1 by 1

Bloomerang is a comprehensive CRM for any sized organization. It contains a powerful Moves Management module, the tools help you focus on donor retention and donor cultivation, and it's all rolled up into an intuitive, easy-to-use system. I love the dashboard charts, goals management, householding feature, and seamless wealth management tools (additional subscription needed) for each constituent.

**What do you dislike about Bloomerang CRM?**

If you are an education nonprofit, Bloomerang is not the best choice as it doesn't readily keep track of schools attended (alumni relations) and other education advancement tools. However, it is very easy to add custom fields and place them in the module needed.

**What problems is Bloomerang CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bloomerang is a comprehensive CRM for contact management, donor relations, cultivation, relationship management, and communication. It has enabled us to really nurture our constituents by providing excellent visibility to the whole constituent record -- donations, other contributions, events, appeals, email and direct communication, as well as an overview of total contributions by campaign, appeal, event, or fund.

Being able to interact with the data and pull any information from the database is huge! I can answer almost any questions in less than a minute by using the reporting. I love having the API to interface with custom integrations.

Bloomerang is great, but they are not fast about making changes to the product that would help the end user.
