It becomes difficult to have to manage the gift cards in our company. You have to go to the store and buy gift cards on a regular basis. What I like with Tango is that you can do all this from your desk. And the selection of cards is huge. No more guessing what the person might want. **What do you dislike about Tango?** Two things I do not like but was able to overcome. The sign in process was tedious. You had to go to different sites and pages in order to be approved. Then the financing comes with a finance charge. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was told that they are working on the financing part of the account. You should be able to enter a bank account to be able to put money in the account in order to buy the gift cards. ### 3. I also found their platform great for managing the giftcards after they had been issued (primarily for verifying that the customer received their cards). The api also makes it easy for us to automate gift card issuance. **What do you dislike about Tango?** They will work with you on co-branding the redemption landing page for customers, but it could use a refresh. Also, there are multiple steps to go through for a customer to redeem gift cards, likely due to security protocols, but can seem a little cumbersome compared to others. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tango Card makes it easy to manage the issuing of gift card reward links to customers. Having an api makes that process mostly hands, which is critical to us remaining a slim team. ### 5. We didn't want to deal with shipping or asking preferences or anything like that. And everyone loves picking their own Gift Card **What do you dislike about Tango?** I don't have any issue with Tango other than the fact that the system doesn't tell you which eGift Cards were refunded. The ability to have multiple templates and easily change them is great. Cards are easy to send as well as keep track of and audit. **What do you dislike about Tango?** Not much to dislike. The user management can be a bit confusing, and it would be nice if there was an easier way to transfer funds between different accounts in the software. Also, when setting up two factor authentication, I was looking out for a text message. Turns out I already had authy, so it was automatically syncing with my app but their was no indication that this was the case or that I should be looking there. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a way to send a large number of gift cards to a large number of customers for promotion. There is no minimum amount of money required to fund your account and gift cards for as low as $0.01 can be sent. **What do you dislike about Tango?** I wish that there were more customization options for the Tango Card emails, specifically editing the subject line, sender name, and what the name of the gift card is called (for example, I would want mine to be titled 'survey incentive' or similar, for it to make sense to our survey participants). Also, I wish there was an option to make the recipient name optional, as our survey participants are all anonymous. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tango Card is the ideal solution for our organization to send out survey incentives to our participants via email and gift cards to our friends/supporters who have worked with us on various projects. ### 15. We were referred to Tango by a colleague and reached out to them. Their customer service walked us through the program and helped set us up. The verification process to use Visa and Mastercard took longer than expected, but once that was complete, we had no issues. It was easy to distribute, track, and run reports of the distribution. If someone could not accept their link via email, we could change and resend to another address for them, as well as track and verify the receipt of the links we sent out. The other huge benefit was that Tango does not charge users for the service. Their customer service is quick to respond and very helpful - I would highly recommend Tango. **What do you dislike about Tango?** The Visa and Mastercard verification process to longer than expected, this is an optional add-on. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a non-profit, and this helped us keep costs down. ### 16. I also don't like that it doesn't give as many redemption options as tremendously in terms of cash/check/paypal/venmo or various charitable donations. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** They resolved my issue of having to use two different companies to give cards to people who lack internet access to redeem by being able to use funds to buy bulk printable codes. ### 17. It took several days and created inpatience with my management team. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem it is solving is gift card tracking, mainly for audit purposes. We've all had to go to target and get a million gift cards for an event, this stops that process and makes it's much simpler. People also love being able to apply the gift card credit to the many different sites/ partners. **What do you dislike about Tango?** I like everything about it. Even the customer service is top teir. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem it solves is being inconvienced with rewards and creating a digital space that solves it. Some offer PIN, some offer Security Codes and some just display the code. The few times we've had support requests they've responded quickly and fixed the issue. It's great that you can start by sending giftcards manually from their platform, upgrade to API usage with their default email templates, and finally build your own end-to-end experience if you need that level of control. **What do you dislike about Tango?** When gift cards are sent but not redeemed, we end up paying the merchant (say, Amazon) for basically nothing. I think this is standard for the industry, but would be great if Tango had a solution where clients are only charged when users actually redeem their cards. **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tango helps us issue incentives to market research participants around the world. I cannot say enough about their stellar customer service, response time, and account management team. Additionally, they are extremely dependable on fulfillment, even in peak holiday times. Compared to other vendors I have worked with, their customer service and quick/successful fulfillment rates are best in class. **What do you dislike about Tango?** The Tango platform is less robust from their competitors, but depending on your use case or workflow, this is likely not a deal breaker. We are starting direct integration work with them, and have not seen any issues thus far. The only major drawback compared to other giftcard vendors is they buy less brands direct from the source. We all know the gift card world is very intertwined. If Tango could get a good deal more of those direct buy relationships, (and be able to pass additional savings on to customers), it would be a major win and make them a force in this space! **What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing a robust gift marketplace with vast selection of brands, categories, denominations, and countries. We had a large employee event and were trying to figure out how to distribute prizes that everyone would love. We stumbled across Tango and it was a major hit! Employees loved being able to pick exactly what they wanted rather than getting something they'd never use. We explored similar platforms but they charged some pretty hefty fees. I could not believe Tango was free to use! My team and I kept asking what the catch was but there really isn't one. The customer service was excellent - they were quick to respond to any questions I had and were very helpful. I would definitely recommend Tango! **What do you dislike about Tango?** It would be nice if there was an easier way to see who hasn't used their gift card funds. A large portion of our organization is Operations and many do not utilize email on a daily basis so some didn't even realize they'd won a prize. It would be nice if there was a text option too.
