As a 28 year user of the system, I can honestly say that my team and I know more about the Blackbaud products than the first several levels of tech support personnel. It is especially nice to have the the daily schedule laid out in the correct order and timing on the "My Day" page. Another nice feature in the gradebook section is the ability to see full labels for assignments (as opposed to a limited set of abbreviations in other platforms, which made it confusing to identify assignments). It is also more organized in being able to report and store details about student infractions. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Student Information System?** There are some small frustrations with the gradebook, such as a missing grade not automatically equaling a '0'. Teachers are also not able to see a students' overall schedule, which is something that does not come up often, but is not helpful when trying to assist a student in finding information. The only other complaint is that for teachers/faculty who also have children in the district, there is not a separate account for them to use to keep work and personal information separate. They must use their work account to also access information about their children. **What problems is Blackbaud Student Information System solving and how is that benefiting you?** Blackbaud is much more easy to use and navigate than other student information systems we've implemented before. You can create assignments, assessments, and discussions and bulk grade all of them, or individually and write in comments and notes for each activity. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Student Information System?** The one thing that is a little annoying is that for all of the ease of copying information between sections, if you teach multiple sections of the same course you cannot individually edit class information unless you set them up independently.
