It is incredibly easy to fire a request and receive detailed structured responses, and you can easily configure the custom search to only search specific content, making it even easier to narrow down on what you want your users to find. **What do you dislike about Bing Custom Search API?** In some aspects, the search is too good. This doesn't seem like it would be a problem, until you try filtering out specific sites. Then you begin to find results for more sites that you then need to block also. The internet is a huge place, and that is no fault of Bing's, and while it is impossible to catch everything - there are some sites that slip through the cracks, and if you are implementing a custom search for a large company, this can often result in damaging responses. Unfortunately it is easier to whitelist a few sites than blacklist the many many sites you need to block. **Recommendations to others considering Bing Custom Search API:** If you are planning on using the Azure Bing Custom Search API in your solution, I'd definitely recommend spinning up a test instance and trying it out first. Test how easy it is to get the results you want. I think because of a more popular engine I just didn't Bing as much. I believe because I am use to using another source, I'm just comfortable with that source.
