"Time-Saving Automated Invoicing and Helpful Line of Credit"
5/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I like that it automatically enters the invoice for you, which saves time. It also deducts lump sums from the bank account, making it easier to plan and budget. And the line of credit extended to us is helpful whenever we need larger amounts to cover big bills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

The reports aren’t very intuitive. When I need to look back and see when a payment went out and who was included on that payment, it’s possible to find in Bill, but it takes a few minutes to figure out where to look. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Weekly Credit Card Sync Keeps Our Accounting and Budget on Track"
4.5/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I love the ability to sync credit cards transactions weekly to our accounting system. Prior to Bill we were importing them monthly and it was hard staying on track with our budget when all credit card transactions were added to the P&L at the end of the month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

The spend and expense feature will not sync to our accounting system and I have been trying to figure it out with the support team for over two months now and still no resolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes Spend & Expense Convenient and Fast"
5/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I use BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy) for organizing budgets for our organization. It allows us to have individual budgets and create itemized receipts for transactions and reimbursements, making it easier to keep track of expenses. I also like that spending categories can be customized to fit our organization's purchases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

It's a little unclear about how to properly assign member roles. I'd like it to be easier to assign member roles so they can see all the transactions, not just theirs, on their assigned budgets without getting additional privileges. I would like to see the possibility of creating custom roles on BILL Spend & Expense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple receipt tracking, but limited customization and weaker support hurt integrations"
2.5/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I love the UI for keeping track of receipts for business purchases. It’s really simple to upload receipts from my phone or through their portal, and I like how everything feeds directly into my general ledger.

Integrates well with QuickBooks Online Advanced with the only issue running into there is sometimes dates it cleared and when it posts in QuickBooks do not match making the reconciliation a bit of a pain to resolve variances. Also once you map something you cannot change how something is mapped. Lastly durring migrating to NetSuite I ran into issues with them not support custom configurations built for my business needs making it so it no longer worked for my company unless I manually uploaded credit card transactions.

Had very little performance issues our down time issues. In the 7 years using them we have only had a few issues that we had to manually import transactions.

Where it is free the price is great, however the rewards they used to offer at higher amounts when you paid more often than monthly only applied to the first $5,000 spend which I hit on the first day with one of my vendor invoices.

Support once they moved to Bill Spend & Expense has really gone down. Instead of having a dedicated account rep you have to go to general support and during the system change we actually had a lot of issues with them.

The AI auto coding works a little, but was not something that was a game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

Flexibility is a big issue for us because they don’t allow enough customization to meet our unique business needs. Sometimes the integrations with QuickBooks Online posted transactions on different dates than when they actually cleared, which made reconciliations much harder. Also, when we were trying to change GL systems, support completely wiped out the integration without clearly telling us that was going to happen, so we had to scramble to build a temporary solution. Overall, the lack of support makes it difficult to navigate building new integrations; multiple times they told me I was good to go, and then it still didn’t work. Lastly, their expense reimbursement tool is garbage. It wouldn’t notify the approver or accounting when someone submitted something, and there was no way to expedite a reimbursement when necessary. "Easy, Efficient Expense Tracking with Great QuickBooks Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

"BILL Spend & Expense has improved our efficiency by simplifying expense tracking and approvals across the organization. It's easy to use, integrates well with QuickBooks, and being free to use made it an easy decision to implement. Their onboarding and training process was excellent and helped our staff get up and running quickly. We especially appreciate the visibility into spending and the ability to manage cards and receipts in one place." BILL Spend & Expense has been reliable in our day-to-day operations. We process purchasing card transactions across multiple users and have not experienced any significant performance issues. The platform is responsive, handles our workload well, and provides real-time visibility into transactions and approvals. Aside from the limitations with QuickBooks Desktop synchronization, the system has performed consistently and has become an important part of our financial workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

There are a few areas where BILL Spend & Expense could improve. While the QuickBooks Desktop integration works well, the synchronization process is not fully automated and requires a user to manually initiate the sync. Additionally, user management could be more flexible. Currently, users cannot be added to the platform without assigning them a virtual card, which can create unnecessary administrative overhead for organizations that want employees to submit expenses or participate in approval workflows without card access. "Efficient Expense Management, Ease of Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I like how BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy) allows us to control expenses and see an overall picture of the spend for vendors. It's great for managing how much is spent on travel and expense reimbursements to employees. Everything is in one place, which makes it very convenient for managing multiple clients. I appreciate that it integrates with our accounting system, making it easier for the accounts team to use. The ease of use extends to vendors and employees too, especially on the travel and expense side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I find the receipt capture needs improvement, especially when dealing with larger merchants or payers. It's kinda difficult sometimes to gather all the receipts for spending expenses. It would be great if the travel features for booking flights, cars, and hotels were all in one place. Also, the system itself should link directly to our accounting system, instead of requiring us to manually add the chart of accounts. It should just grab those charts of accounts directly from the accounting system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Expense Management with Room for Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I find BILL Spend & Expense easy to use both on the platform and the app, and I love the amazing flexibility with the card controls. It's great that I can assign a card to any employee or volunteer with any spending limit, which means I don't need to constantly process reimbursements. It's super convenient to just turn off a card when an employee leaves or a project is completed. Plus, the ability to program certain cards for specific recurring expenses saves me time from having to do it manually. The initial setup was very easy, thanks to the friendly staff who got us set up quickly to start using the cards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I find that the transactions don't always show up right after the charge, and I notice the app doesn't always communicate well with the browser software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy QB Sync and Budget Limits, but Glitches and Recurring Receipts Slow Us Down"
3.5/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

It synced automatically to QBs and it is easy to set someone's budget limit on their credit cards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

There are a few glitches here and there. It has taken quite some time to try to work out the issues when the spend & expense credit balance is used to pay bills on the bill.com side and how that translates to the reconciliation statement. I also do not like that I haven't been able to set some of the recurring charges up to auto book and sync without attaching a receipt to them or having to go in each month and click that I do not have a receipt and then explain why. That takes too much time each month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Switch to Bill.com That Streamlined Expense Reimbursements"
4/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

It was nice to switch from a complicated platform ( Emborse Certify) To Bill.com. Everyone can figure out how to use it quickly and we don't have to wait for expenses to be completed for accounting to do their job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

You can't make a lot of changes. I accidentaly sent a reimbursement for the wrong amount and even though I caught it within the minute there was no way for me to pull it back. It would be nice if there was a reverse feature where I could pull something back if it was within 5 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Real-Time Expense Management"
5/5
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I find BILL Spend & Expense incredibly user-friendly. It's great that you don't have to go through extensive training to use its functions effectively. The ability to expense everything quickly as an employee is really impressive. As an employer, I appreciate the feature that allows me to create different budget categories or buckets and assign specific budgets to staff members within the church's total budget. The biggest positive impact has been the real-time expensing of charges, and the app makes it incredibly helpful by allowing us to capture the information on our phones without holding on to receipts, making everything digital and expediting the process. The initial setup of BILL Spend & Expense was incredibly simple, and I'm very likely to recommend it to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

Sometimes the suggested expense isn't accurate. It tends to look at if you bought something and expensed it at one time, for example, on Amazon. Now it's always suggesting the same thing when it's not accurate. But that's not a huge deal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
