Since I have been using Bill, I have actually learned about A/P and A/R functionality. Bill Allows you to import and sync inQB easily. I use Bill for my Employment and my Accounting practice. It is very detailed and allows business owners to review charges and easily see where the companies money is being applied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If I had to say one of the functions I dislike, it would have to be not being able to use the sync function to match all the fields in QB. When there is a department that is not listed in Bill, I have to fix indivuals errors in order for the sync to work again. I would like to have more variety of departments that correspond with Bill and QB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bill.com AR doesn't charge a transaction % for ACH payments. This is a huge benefit, and the reason why I switched from Stripe to Bill.com for AR invoicing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-You cannot schedule one-off invoices for a future date. I set the invoice date to 2 months out, and it was sent right away to a confused customer.
-Large AR transactions are flagged by the Bill.com risk team and require additional approvals and confirmations by our customers. This was very embarrassing for us, especially when their risk team forwarded an email thread to a customer that should not have been external facing. Every invoice we send is over their threshold.
-You cannot add attachments (like an Order Form) for recurring invoices.
-There's no way to convey to the customer the period an invoice represents within the recurring invoice format. Bill.com isn't good for SaaS providers.
-There is a per-user fee, regardless if a user has ever logged into the platform.
-In my first 45 days on Bill.com, I've had 4-5 customer service interactions, including the most recent issue for being double charged. The customer service person agreed that our fee was doubled. Rather than fixing it, they instructed me to fill out a form with another team to make a formal refund request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
