This is what it says it does "services organizations track time and expenses, manage projects and schedule resources" and it does.
Good vision of resource planning and availability reporting. Good skills capture.
I especially like the new web dashboard for entry and reporting for easy reporting and then more detailed reports available have saved us lots of time and ability to get to up to date data easily for project tracking and look forward to more of this format. More web dashboards formats would be good to see introduced.
Good time sheet and employee personal expenses capture and reporting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We still can't fully use the Quickbooks link to track all expenses ie materials and purchases as unable to raise purchase orders through Projector. We have fed this back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Projector is very customizable and offers a one-stop shop of sorts for all of your billing, scheduling project and time management needs. It's also able to integrate with other software and the support team is awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You have to pay for consulting services to REALLY understand how the system works and how it can work best for your needs. I have been in two places where the system has been set up and both times, it has been an uphill battle learning how to best configure it, clean it up and utilize new features. A really well-designed solution that balances flexibility without being overly complex. Best practices and designed into the software. Excellent integration with Excel well to facilitate custom reporting. Very efficient to use (even though it is ugly).
Very fast implementation (and affordable).
Most excellent post launch support. Very responsive and consultative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Interface is behind the times. Needs a redesign. It is more a control panel than an application. That might be a feature more than a bug because once you know your way around it is very efficient and fast to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great support team, quick, responsive and always interested in sharing ideas.
Great connectivity, rich SOAP web services allowed us to easily integrate Projector with other corporate systems.
Projector's reporting interface is very flexible and allows us to read the report outputs in a variety of formats (XML, JSON, CSV, Excel, Access) using RESTful Web Services.
In our organization Projector reports are being read by BI tools, system integrations, excel tools … Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Project Managers in our organization would like to see some improvements in the Task Planning user interface. This functionality is currently only available in the Win / Mac application and hopefully will be improved once the Project Management module moves to the web portal. There isn't anything that I feel that particularly stands out with ProjectorPSA. I do somewhat appreciate their mobile access site, however it's significantly overlooked by most because accessing the mobile version for time/expense entry requires that you know the specific mobile URL. Most similar PSA software have a mobile application available to simplify time and expense entry on the go without having to crack open a laptop. While ProjectorPSA does have a mobile version of their website, typing in the standard projectorpsa URL and logging in does not re-route you automatically to that mobile website. You have to know the specific URL to access, which isn't even displayed after you login to the standard website from a mobile device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a user friendly interface. In my position I both work with the front end and back end of the program. I enjoy that our consultants feel that this program is very easy to use while I train them on how to use it. I also enjoy that Projector has provided so many resources on how to use it which has made my job easier on training new consultants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are just a few quirky things I wish could be fixed. For my position on the finance team I find there are a few things that would make my job a little more convenient that are not currently available - I would say they are simple things) but they are not available. An example would be being able to view whether a consultant worked onsite or offsite while I am reviewing the open invoice screen in the management portal (without having to view the PDF). Top notch responses to all our queries. Hands-on approach to help us resolve questions and better utilize the product. The produce is very robust and offers more than we could currently need. We have big aspirations for better utilizing Projector but have been limited internally with time to prioritize it. The Projector team, especially Ronni S. and Tom S. have been instrumental in helping our company take the next steps with this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Time intensive to make changes to basic level setup. GL mapping, etc. Currency conversions don't seem to work when uploading from credit card queue. Would be nice to offer a simplified interface for non-power users. Would also be great if Projector Support would offer basic training to new users on T&E, Project management, etc to help our internal finance team focus elsewhere. The best part about Projector is that even if it is amazingly complex and flexible it still is very user friendly and doesn't scare the users. The complexity it's hidden under layers. The main screens and tabs and windows are not cluttered with hundreds of options - they give you the main and mandatory options. But if you need a bit more from it you can go deeper and you need even more you can go even deeper.
The devil is in the details and it's the same here. We have the pro users of the tool (like the staffing manager or finance manager) that will need all the complexity possible, then you have the less advanced user (like the Project managers in need to create task plans, estimate costs at completion of the project, request resources etc) and then you have no-experience-required users like the resources in need to enter time cards - Projector manages to cater and present itself friendly and usable to all types of users.
All the tools and options are intuitively and logically positioned and accessible. It is futile to talk about its complexity as I've been digging deeper and deeper into what it can do and 1 year later I have not even scratched the surface. The basic of what a company needs is attainable fairly quickly and quite easy. The rest of it however is meant to improve efficiency, control KPIs, save time with automated reports, automated warnings, automated project plan layout based on templates, etc. - the more you learn to use it the more efficient and profitable your business becomes because you'll set it just right to keep things in check and eliminate manual, repetitive, non-productive work. You let Projector do that for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I'm not a big fan of is the downloadable part of the software - I would've liked it to be Web Based in order to be able to open multiple tabs and speed up some of the more time consuming tasks. But from what I hear the Web Based version is in the testing phases and will soon replace the downloadable and installable one. Even so, on Windows machines you can open multiple instances of Projector (i've tried it on MacOS and didn't have much success) so you can still go around that. Also the API connectivity I hear will be improved after the web version will be launched which is a part I felt once or twice it could help us more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We introduced Projector PSA into our company back in 2012 to help replace an out-dated excel/access home-grown time, expense, and invoicing process. We waited at least a year too long in making the change, and we've never looked back. Projector has grown as we've grown - from base time/expense/invoicing to resource scheduling to the Advanced Analytics dashboard platform. The UI for our team members to use for time and expense entry was always solid and easy to use, and has only gotten better. The functionality behind the management portal for our practice directors and finance staff is rich. With the ability to source data from both Projector and other data sources (i.e., Quickbooks, SalesForce, etc), the dashboards we've created provide full visibility into all of our key metrics. It is an essential backbone of our business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Speaking as a company executive, based on how we utilize Projector, there are no major gaps. As a team member still engaged in client activity, there are no complaints that I or my team members have with using it for time and expense reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Projector has a friendly interface for reporting hours, which is very functional over mobile app also. The view changes over mobile, to one better suited for that. Updation is very Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Projections for hours (Booking hours) are only through desktop software, it is not available in web yet. I hear ProjectorPSA is working on making it available over web. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
