The best part about Projector is that even if it is amazingly complex and flexible it still is very user friendly and doesn't scare the users. The complexity it's hidden under layers. The main screens and tabs and windows are not cluttered with hundreds of options - they give you the main and mandatory options. But if you need a bit more from it you can go deeper and you need even more you can go even deeper.
The devil is in the details and it's the same here. We have the pro users of the tool (like the staffing manager or finance manager) that will need all the complexity possible, then you have the less advanced user (like the Project managers in need to create task plans, estimate costs at completion of the project, request resources etc) and then you have no-experience-required users like the resources in need to enter time cards - Projector manages to cater and present itself friendly and usable to all types of users.
All the tools and options are intuitively and logically positioned and accessible. It is futile to talk about its complexity as I've been digging deeper and deeper into what it can do and 1 year later I have not even scratched the surface. The basic of what a company needs is attainable fairly quickly and quite easy. The rest of it however is meant to improve efficiency, control KPIs, save time with automated reports, automated warnings, automated project plan layout based on templates, etc. - the more you learn to use it the more efficient and profitable your business becomes because you'll set it just right to keep things in check and eliminate manual, repetitive, non-productive work. What I'm not a big fan of is the downloadable part of the software - I would've liked it to be Web Based in order to be able to open multiple tabs and speed up some of the more time consuming tasks. But from what I hear the Web Based version is in the testing phases and will soon replace the downloadable and installable one. Even so, on Windows machines you can open multiple instances of Projector (i've tried it on MacOS and didn't have much success) so you can still go around that. Also the API connectivity I hear will be improved after the web version will be launched which is a part I felt once or twice it could help us more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Projector is a well-designed tool that allows us to track our business as a whole and each of our individual projects. There is a good balance between having overall flexibility in how different project types are run, tracked, and measured with an overall rigor that helps keep data consistent and usable.
Service for the is excellent. We had a fantastic implementation process, and the folks assigned to our implementation team (Peter Cote and Earl Taylor) were absolutely great to work with. Per the title, the software itself is first class - we looked at many competitors in the PSA sector but Projector stood out as being uniquely logical, understandable, stable, and complete, but with sufficient flexibility that there is generally a pretty decent way of doing things if you have organisational 'quirks'. The interface is user-friendly, well laid out, and powerful, making the acquisition of data and management information quick and easy.
However, where Projector stands out is at implementation; from the point of pre-sales, the Projector team were honest, open, knowledgeable, and approachable - incredibly easy to work with. However, implementing a Projector in an organisation that was itself a software implementor was eye-opening in all the right ways. We had a tight timescale; no problem. Needed careful budget management; no problem. Out-of-session questions; no problem. Self-help materials - and I had a good idea of the time and effort that has to go into these sorts of things - no problem.

Once PSA is configured to specification, there is a tremendous economy of scale created. Whether it is a new resource, project or invoice, the system is built for improving efficiencies and enabling scalability. My favorite part about the system is the Projector BI integration. We've been able to build org monitoring, project management and resource management dashboards that allow us to get all of the information we need to run the company more efficiently while spending less time doing so. The resource & project management dashboards have enabled our teams to be able to manage themselves. We have been using Projector for about 10 years.
We initially rolled it out to replace our outdated timesheeting. From there we moved on to project management, resource management, forecasting and revenue recognition.
As our processes have matured we have found that Projector as a tool has everything that we could possibly need, and more, already baked in.

Projector is relatively easy for end-user, billable staff to use; but it is a powerful tool for project managers, and the power makes the system complex. PMs require a fair amount of training before they become effective in the tool.

I have never used a system like this before and I have no point of reference to compare it to - maybe this is the best there is for the purposes it serves.
