I love how it handles privilege elevation and credential injection, making complex troubleshooting feel incredibly smooth and professional. The automated session recording and detailed audit logs also provide great peace of mind for compliance and internal tracking.

The interface can feel a bit dated and overwhelming at first, especially for new technicians who have to navigate through deep sub-menus. The licensing cost is significantly higher than other remote desktop tools, which makes it hard to justify for smaller IT teams. Honestly, the best part is the granular access control and not having to deal with a VPN for secure connections. It makes the workflow much smoother, and the platform is incredibly stable. Also, the audit logs are a lifesaver for our compliance needs, giving us total peace of mind regarding security.

The admin interface is a bit complex to navigate at first, so it takes some time to get used to it. Also, it can be a bit pricey for smaller teams, and the console sometimes feels a little heavy on resources when you're running several sessions at once.

**What do you like best about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

I like that I can remotely access laptops, desktops (both Windows and MACs), and cellphones. It's helpful that when I remote into any device and have the right admin access, I can do almost everything. I also appreciate being able to use GUI or PowerShell commands, which allows me to see almost everything if the session isn't cut.

**What do you dislike about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

There are some bugs at the moment to elevate the session or post-connection if the device is off for a couple of minutes. I would like a reconnect option using the same session, meaning if the connection is lost, it's necessary to create a new session. It would be nice to have a reconnection button. Also, it's difficult because it is integrated with multiple devices.

I use BeyondTrust Remote Support to help remote users fix issues with laptops, tablets, and cellphones. It allows me to access and manage these devices using GUI or PowerShell, ensuring comprehensive support.

**What do you like best about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

This tool is very easy to use and manage, and the documentation provided is extremely thorough. I rely on bomgar daily to remotely access machines for troubleshooting and testing custom scripts. The ability to implement canned scripts has proven especially useful in my environment. Customer support to our users makes it very streamline. Integrations to our systems was not as hard since we got help with the implementation from the beyond trust team.

Wish when creating a support ticket, they would respond a little faster.
Hopefully they can do PIV passthrough more seamless
Also expandable preview of the screen of a computer so we know if they are in a meeting or working before remoting in.

The chat functionality is excellent and genuinely helpful for end users. As an IT engineer, I appreciate that every remote action is logged and auditable, making it straightforward to review what was done. Additionally, the command line feature is great for some back-end action without distracting the end user.

The menu UI design can seem a bit outdated although functional. Users may also feel that there are too many pop-up windows and prompts to click through before they can get to what they need. The file transfer feature sometimes does not work as expected for me.

Beyond Trust Remote Support software is evolving to be better than ever. The new features that are being released are a direct result of end user support groups webinar, where users can talk about issues, suggest new ideas, and even talk about issues found. In the recent releases of BTRS we have seen many of the suggestions mentioned now being released.

**What do you dislike about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

Beyond Trust has been improving the product to be more user friendly and this is a result of using suggestions from the user clients. They have added features that are evolving to streamline with the most modern of computing today. The special user group meetings are another great function that allows the clients to learn about new features that will be released and even the road maps that in future releases.

Just started to use the Privileged Access Management for the company training staff to better optimize training in virtual means since the company has changed so much since Covid.

I like the functionality that lets me connect and work behind the scenes directly in the shell, or transfer files without having to take over someone else’s mouse and keyboard. I also appreciate being able to have the API handle jump client group joins.

**What do you dislike about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

The UI feels a bit dated and stale. The documentation also leaves a lot to be desired, especially when you’re standing it up or trying to implement new features. Performance is generally pretty good, but it does hitch at times, and the lack of AI functionality within remote support is disappointing.

The product is feature rich and easy to use.  The onboarding team was super helpful and support is great.

There is no option to sort endpoints by logged in end user.  You can manually enter the user as a comment on the endpoint which is sortable but that takes some time to do and manually updating is tedious.

**What problems is BeyondTrust Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product makes it very easy to remotely support end users on premise or working remotely.  There is a web based console or a fat client console so using the product from my work computer or another machine I don't normally use while on call is very simple.  There is also a mobile app for quick access in a pinch.  I'm able to help end users whenever they need it wherever I am.

I like the strong security that BeyondTrust Remote Support offers, as it's important for keeping our data and systems accessible only to authorized users. I also appreciate the cross-platform support, which allows the software to work on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. This feature is very good and useful for IT teams like mine. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty easy, and the interface is user-friendly, making it quite simple to get used to.

**What do you like best about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

I have been using BeyondTrust Remote Support for my end users for 6 months, and the platform has proven valuable with its constant maturity and growth. Although the setup process was a bit laborious, the result achieved was extremely satisfying and successful. I appreciate the benefit of user segregation that the tool provides, allowing management, traceability, and auditing, which enhances the security of the remote accesses I offer, without the need to be physically present. I find the functionality of privileged remote sessions very useful, as it allows me to record all actions and use administrative permissions remotely without the physical presence of resources. The traceability, auditing, and recording of sessions for all accesses are aspects that would make me choose BeyondTrust Remote Support again. The reliability it brings to my team is invaluable. I give it a score of 10, showing how much I would recommend it to others.

I would change the implementation part, I would like to have direct support from the manufacturer itself.

I like that with BeyondTrust Remote Support, all the desired features are in one tool. The Rep Console is very easy to use, and the initial setup was very simple. Features and usability are also plus points.

I think that the screen resolution could be adjusted to the native resolution so that the resolution is not scaled at the service desk.

I find BeyondTrust Remote Support very useful due to its simplicity and lack of unnecessary features. The user interface is straightforward, showing only what I need, and interactions are almost in real-time with no noticeable lag, ensuring efficient issue resolution without stress.

I'm not sure if BeyondTrust Remote Support provides a calling facility, which means I have to use Teams for communication. If the app does not include this feature, it would be beneficial to have it integrated. While I think there's a chat option, I am uncertain about the availability of a calling option.

From time to time, I need to log in to administer and update an appliance that Beyond Trust is hosting for us. I’d prefer that they handle the administration and manage the updates for this appliance themselves, without requiring my involvement.

Ease of access to remote desktops is the top seller with this product. This includes the great file transfer, as well as access to all the workstation details like Registry, Services, Processes etc.

This is a very expensive product and we purchased a lifetime license. Perpetuality looks to be endangered.

It makes providing detailed support very easy. It also allows us to "train" users to solve the minor issues they could learn to deal with themselves.
We are also able to accomplish many tasks without disturbing the client, using the "Hidden" setting of Quiet Mode. 
We discovered that the slightest indication of a support presence on an endpoint was disruptive to the user.

What I like best about BeyondTrust Remote Support is how easy it is to access unattended devices. It just requires a double-click from the jump list.

I also really like that there are multiple ways to connect—whether it’s through a session key, a jump client, or even a remote invite. That flexibility makes it super convenient to support different types of users and situations without jumping through hoops.

Overall, it just makes remote support smoother and more efficient.

**What do you dislike about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

One thing I wish BeyondTrust Remote Support did better is offering more options for connecting to Entra-joined devices. The jump client works fine most of the time, but it would be great to have an alternative method for unattended access—just in case the jump client stops working or gets removed from the endpoint. Having a backup option would make things a lot more reliable, especially in environments where device management can be a bit unpredictable.

BeyondTrust Remote Support really helps us tackle a couple of key challenges. One big one is being able to access kiosk-based devices where no user is present. With unattended access, we can jump in and troubleshoot or update those machines without needing someone on the other end, which is a huge time-saver.

It also makes it easy to support our end users quickly and efficiently. Whether they’re in the office or remote, we can connect fast and get issues resolved without a lot of back and forth. Overall, it helps us keep things running smoothly and cuts down on downtime.

I have been using this tool since last 4 years and it has made my jobs super productive and easy. It offers great functionalities that other solutions don't. I have used some other licensed solutions like TeamViewer etc. however BeyondTrust Remote Support tool is excellent

My opinion on this will be the same as before. I have seen many endpoints don't appear as Online and we need to fix it by either restarting it or by reinstalling the software. Something gets broke and this all happens on endpoints. Rest all is Great!

Beyondtrust Remote Support makes it very easy to remote into any system and provide support to customer facing any desktop related issue. Benefit of this solution is that Service Desk and Local IT team can assist customers remotely.

What I like best about BeyondTrust Remote Support is how quickly I can connect to a user’s system without them struggling to install or configure anything. It feels secure, smooth, and saves a lot of time when resolving issues.

What I dislike about BeyondTrust Remote Support is that the interface can feel a bit outdated and sometimes the connection speed depends heavily on the user’s network. It works well overall but it could be more modern and consistent.

Extended functionality and not limited to remote screen sharing, including direct File system, Registry and Shell System Access capabilities.

The support team is generally quite efficient in their response times, and a proactive approach results in faster resolutions.

System updates require staging to allow devices to update accordingly. Devices that do not update their agents will be lost and will require reinstallation. Not so much a problem, but an item to be included in lifecycle management.

The most helpful things about BTRS are the ease of set-up and use. It's supported by different OS and multiple engineers can work together in one session. The fact that the sessions are encrypted, audited, logged and more is perfect for our ISO office. The tool itself is reliable and stable.

Currently no major issues were experienced. The GUI feels sometimes a bit outdated.

**What do you like best about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

One of the standout features of BeyondTrust is its comprehensive security framework. The platform offers multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, and encrypted sessions, ensuring sensitive information is protected during remote sessions. Although it integrates seamlessly with existing IT service management (ITSM) platforms such as ServiceNow and Salesforce, we are not currently on those systems for service desk and we use Service Desk Plus.

We are looking to implement it for our external support as well allowing us to provide top-tier customer support our users as well as our coworkers.

The session collaboration feature is particularly helpful. It allows multiple technicians to join a single session, share their expertise, and resolve complex issues faster. BeyondTrust also provides detailed session reporting and recording, offering transparency and helping meet compliance requirements.

I use it daily for in my role as a technician. The customer support is awesome and they will respond to emails quickly and completely.

**What do you dislike about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

One limitation of BeyondTrust is its initial complexity and learning curve. While the interface is packed with advanced features, it may feel overwhelming for new users or smaller IT teams who are not as familiar with remote support software. It often requires time and training to fully understand and utilize all its capabilities.

Additionally, pricing can be a challenge, especially for smaller organizations. BeyondTrust is positioned as a premium solution, and while it delivers on functionality and security, the cost may be prohibitive for those on a tight budget. Furthermore, the mobile app experience, though functional, can sometimes feel less fluid compared to the desktop interface, particularly when trying to perform more complex tasks on smaller screens.

I don't feel like I know it well enough but with the Beyond Trust University training session coming up, I think I will become an expert soon enough!

We didn't have a solution before BeyondTrust that allowed us to enter systems without forcing the user to downoad and run software and that was taking an extra 5-10 mins per call to just walk the user through getting into their system.

We have been treated very well as customer of BeyondTrust.  They are a very professional company.  They are willing to work with you at every level.  We were very happy with their services.  I would highly recommend BeyondTrust.

I wanted to share that I have had nothing but positive experiences with BeyondTrust Remote Support. However, as you know, we are all facing budget constraints and have had to make some difficult decisions. Unfortunately, we had to cut this software from our budget.

As a workaround, we have been utilizing free Zoom sessions to assist our end users. We initiate the Zoom session where the end user can share their screens with us, allowing us to effectively troubleshoot any issues they are experiencing with this free remote session.

BeyondTrust is very user-friendly for IT technicians and its users. It allows you to remotely access devices that do not have the BeyondTrust client installed using a website link. You can deploy the client via Windows policy.

**What do you dislike about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

You can install BeyondTrust jump point on one device multiple times, creating duplicates on your jump point list. Sometimes, the policy deployment doesn't work correctly, requiring manual client installation.

**What problems is BeyondTrust Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If the device has the BeyondTrust client installed and is connected online, we are able to remote into it and fix our users' computer issues, even when they are not at their computer. If Jump Point is broken or users don't have the client on their device, we will still be able to reach them with the website link. Then we can get on their device to fix the Jump Point or just to assist them with their issue if we are not allowed to have the Jump Point installed on their device. If a user feels like they don't want you on their device, they can cancel the connection at any time.

A robust remote support tool with top notch security.

**What do you dislike about BeyondTrust Remote Support?**

Support from BeyondTrust has significantly declined and the company has not provided the level of customization required for our business.  They lack professional services for reporting and website portal building.  The out of box reporting is very limited and requires additional internal resources to build something for basic dashboard reporting like speed of answer and average handle time.

**What problems is BeyondTrust Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The last couple of years has not provided any significant updates to the product that would benefit us.  Things like chat translation that come standard in other products.  The mobile device support is clunky and difficult to use.
