"Simplified Retirement Plan Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Betterment at Work?

What I like most about Betterment at Work is how simple it is to administer and navigate. The platform feels intuitive for both employees and administrators, which makes managing the retirement plan straightforward. It also streamlines onboarding (when integrated with Rippling) and offers helpful resources, so supporting employees and responding to questions is much easier. What do you dislike about Betterment at Work?

There aren’t many major drawbacks, but I’d like to see stronger administrative reporting along with more customization options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Management of Benefits and Time Off"
5/5
What do you like best about Betterment at Work?

I like how Betterment at Work keeps everything in a central location for me, helping me keep track of my employees, their time off, their 401(k), and anything else I need to track. I also like the notifications, as they keep me proactive on certain things. The software helps me stay organized throughout the day, especially with employee time off requests, allowing me to adjust schedules or arrange replacements. It also enables me to inform employees ahead of time about their eligibility for 401(k) and other benefits. The initial setup was pretty seamless, and I enjoyed the service when we signed up. "Easy 401(k) Management with Seamless Bank and Rippling Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Betterment at Work?

Sales process was very easy and straightforward. The product works exactly as needed and from an administrator standpoint it is easy to manage employee 401(K) plans, contribution changes, distrubution requests, etc. It integrates very easily with our bank and Rippling. The onboarding and support we have received has been top notch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Betterment at Work?

It took a bit to transfer over our old 401(K) plan from Accrue, but this is not necessarily on Betterment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Helpful Support and an Easy-to-Navigate Interface"
5/5
What do you like best about Betterment at Work?

The support when I needed to change plan type mid year was very helpful. Super clear and walked me through tradeoffs. Both the chat and AI were useful. Interface is easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Betterment at Work?

I haven't found much I dislike. It's reasonably priced, the interface is easy, and any time I've had to use the chat, the AI was pretty useful and if it couldn't support me a human was available. Maybe a clearer list of what Betterment requires of plan admins across the year? Or a calendar would be nice? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy system."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Betterment at Work?

Ease of use is the best thing about betterment. It was very easy to set up and add users. They make reporting easy too. I can easily run reports and get info on changes to elections. They also have alot of tools online that i can share with employees to help them navigate. The integration with my payroll provider was seemless. They also like to work with Betterment which was great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Betterment at Work?

It took me a bit to figure out how to change my investment options, but once I got there, it was easy. I had an issue with follow up last year, but once the issue was understood by all, they were quick to get me information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Betterment at Work + Gusto Integration Makes 401(k) Administration Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Betterment at Work?

Betterment at Work paired with an integration with Gusto Payroll has made our small business' 401k administration as automated as possible and has saved our leadership team countless stress and time as a result. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Betterment at Work?

I personally wish there were more options for customizing portfolios on the employee end. It would also be great to turn off or modify some of the defaults, such as the default 6% contribution and escalation each year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Affordable 401(k) Management with Room for Payroll Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Betterment at Work?

I really appreciate the ease of setup and management with Betterment at Work; it's extremely easy and painless, which was one of the reasons we chose it. I also like the low-cost affordability. The fact that I don't have to think much about management beyond the payroll each month is a big plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Betterment at Work?

I would love direct integration with our payroll. The fact that I have to manually do it every month is kind of annoying. The fact that I can miss rate changes because it's not synced automatically bothers me. So I would love to see direct integration with our payroll system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Investment Options but Challenging Setup"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Betterment at Work?

Betterment at Work because integrates with our payroll system, Gusto, which makes it easy to use within our existing setup. I appreciate the investment options available to our employees, and the low cost of index fund investing is a significant benefit. Our employees find it very simple to invest, which adds to its value. The product itself is great. I have no complaints about the product itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Betterment at Work?

The customer support has been very disappointing. When I needed assistance with our account, it look weeks to get a meaningful response. I sent multiple emails, many of which were never acknowledged or responded to, despite getting confirmation that support tickets had been created. Instead of feeling like a valued customer, I had to keep chasing down someone who could help. What was even more disappointing was that, when I did receive responses, they were rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in customer care. Rather than working towards a solution, interactions were non-apologetic, passive aggressive, and seemed that the team did not value or even care if we were customers, even on calls with upper level management. Being a company plan administrator, I would expect to be treated kindly and professionally. We like the product a lot, but the overall experience with Betterment at Work from day one has fallen well short of expectations. We will be moving our business elsewhere at the first opportunity. I sincerely hope they can fix this issue, as we like the product. But customer support and overall experience with a company is part of the whole package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
