There are tons of great features, like adding padding to your sections, easily duplicating or deleting a section, having pre-built rows, free stock images at your disposal, and even image and file hosting. They also have tons of great templates for you to start with, making email creation a breeze. **What do you dislike about RGE Studio?** Some of their pre-built templates look great but are built out in a way that makes it hard to edit and still look as nice as their version did. Clever background images and building techniques make the template look great, but harder to edit than you might have thought originally. Overall, though, their templates are simple and easy to use. **Recommendations to others considering RGE Studio:** I've only exported emails for use in another email tool, so I can only suggest that from Bee, but it works very well for us in that way. **What problems is RGE Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bee makes it incredibly easy to build beautiful emails with hosted files, and export them as HTML for any other email platform (we use it with Active Campaign). ### 2. For example, it does not allow collaboration with a work team, the templates are limited, and it does not allow integration with other delivery systems (such as Mailchimp). I tried over and over to either fix the HTML or recopy the email design over, but no luck. Its output reliably delivers responsive layouts that display properly across virtually all modern email clients. While the builder isn't the most full-featured email builder out there, it offers all the most important options needed for designing stylish emails to your lists. Features include a variety of block and column-based row templates, nice spacing options, and plenty of color and transparency options for creating modern layouts. If you're a developer, you can embed the builder into directly into your applications, or you can create freestanding builders that live on just about any hosting setup. You can even use Bee's hosted builder if you purchase one of their affordable plans. **What do you dislike about RGE Studio?** There's not much to dislike, but it can be difficult (maybe even impossible) to layer images within one row, and making a row background display an image is convoluted and really not documented anywhere. **What problems is RGE Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Bee to layout almost all of our client emails, which we export as HTML and then import into a variety of email marketing solutions. It's greatly improved the consistency of how emails display across email clients, especially on the huge number of mobile email clients and email apps. ### 6. Also, it seems to me that the service works a little slower in Firefox than in Chrome. I use Firefox, so I noticed that. I think that BEE needs to be accelerated to make the service work faster. You also need to add integration features with the Mailjet mailing list service. I'd like to see more elements for the content when working with the editor. Small number of options for configuring the blocks. Not an obvious preview that shows what the pattern looks like on different types of devices **Recommendations to others considering RGE Studio:** I believe that if you are looking for a good visual email template editor with the ability to save individual items and export, then BEE is the best choice. When working with BEE, however, as with other important services, it is better not to lose control over users. In our company, only 2 people have access to BEE, who create and edit email templates. I am able to utilize my company's fonts and colors to make the e-mails look like an extension of the company. I find BEE as a platform really easy to use, and being able to export the HTML makes my e-mails look more professional than the built-in templates for the ESP I currently use. The ability to add custom fonts when needed is also a major plus as it aides in ensuring my e-mails remain accessible. **What do you dislike about RGE Studio?** It would be great if column widths were flexible rather than fixed. I come across a few roadblocks as I am not able to adjust the column widths exactly how I like. I also dislike when pasting text from elsewhere, all of my formatting resets and I have to change my font size and color again. It would be nice to have the text formatting stay the same when pasting text. I also do not like that some punctuation does not transfer over to the ESP, so there are large gaps. Characters like the proper apostrophe or long dash do not transfer over, and I am not sure if this is a BEE issue or an ESP issue (Constant Contact). **Recommendations to others considering RGE Studio:** I recommend trying the service to see if it is right for you. BEE is a very flexible platform when used to its max potential, so learning about the basics of e-mail design will help a lot. With BEE, I'm able to push the boundaries beyond what my HTML/CSS skills would have limited me to in email design, and for that, I am thankful. **What do you dislike about RGE Studio?** Rendering in Outlook is horrible and a total disappointment. I know Outlook is tricky to work with when it comes to email, but native Pardot templates load just fine. It's as simple as dragging a box to move the text above or below the image - which for some reason usually causes so many formatting issues on other platforms I've used. It's an amazing tool that is designed for the novice user and has enabled my marketing teams to do more with less. Fortunately, BEE's core product offers a lot of the same things you'd expect from a drag and drop email builder in a Mailchimp or HubSpot. The only issue is that importing to those tools can be complicated. **What do you dislike about RGE Studio?** I dislike the import functions between HubSpot and BEE. It is cumbersome and somewhat annoying to try to import your code. You also are unable to edit the emails in HubSpot. You just have to hope that it isn't messed up by the time you work through the final functions and double checking the emails for accuracy. You have to manually import the code and then reset it, going back and forth between two editors. Good thing is it is not lacking much. You will have to rely on outside sources to generate images and rich email content. It's partially a drag and drop function but with the flexibility to do more than constant contact or survey monkey. But careful on using HTML tables.
