**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

I really like Bazaarvoice because it can work with partners so well. I also appreciate the review family groupings feature. It makes it easier to group product reviews that have different UPCs but should be together as a family, which is a great advantage.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

I don't like the customization of email sends and the lack of native integrations across different ESP and loyalty platforms. The current integration makes it so I have to use specific triggers and code to have the review link populate correctly. This is challenging and time-consuming.

I use Bazaarvoice for syndicated reviews across our ecommerce site, allowing syndication for retail partners and facilitating review family groupings.

Easy to implement and their implementation team has been fantastic. It's fairly simple to navigate on the back end and integration has been quick and easy thus far.

Reviews needed to go on other websites aside from ours and this does that wonderfully. UGC on our website wasn't something we knew how to quickly do and this feature came along with our Ratings & Reviews package and fits perfectly for us.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

The integration of Bazaarvoice reviews and ratings in the project was easy, it's just the Bazaarvoice script that needed to be added to the code. Then the reviews and ratings for the product is displayed on the PLP and PDP. The App is easy to use and is frequently used to review ratings. Once the user submits the reviews and Ratings on the site, those reviews and ratings are sent in the Bazaarvoice app for approval. There, the controlling Party/Client can easily accept or reject the reviews and ratings. Once it's accepted, the reviews and ratings are published on the site; otherwise, they are not. The client can monitor daily how many reviews and ratings are submitted on the site. Customer support is very helpful and easy to reach out for any issue faced on the site or in the Bazaarvoices app.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

The UI of the Bazaarvoice app is a bit confusing at first once you get used to it then it feels familiar. Also, the UI for accepting and rejecting the reviews and ratings feels old school. Also, the Bazaarvoice inspector functionality is also confusing to use.

**What problems is Bazaarvoice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. It helps to review the Ratings first (Submitted by the users) and then gives power to us to accept or reject the reviews and ratings if found phony.
2. It helps in reaching the customer directly by sending an email to the user to give reviews on their purchase.
3. It helps in order analytics.
4. Its feature of "Loving your homes" curulate gallery. helps to advertise the most reviewed and purchased product.

They are one of the only vendors where you can syndicate your reviews to third party retailers, but I'm sure there are other vendors that care more about their clients and not just their bottom line.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel like other businesses need to hear this. We’ve been working with Bazaarvoice at Sun Home Saunas and it’s honestly been one of the worst vendor experiences we’ve ever had.
Their customer service is awful - slow to respond, unhelpful, and just generally not supportive or flexible. The platform itself is super clunky and outdated, which made even basic things frustrating.
But the worst part? Their contracts. We had to shut down our B2B program due to the tariffs, and even though our 12-month term was up, they refused to let us out. They’re hiding behind legal fine print and taking a “gotcha” approach instead of working with us like partners.
I've never dealt with a company that was this rigid, impersonal, and honestly just unpleasant to work with. If you're thinking about using Bazaarvoice, I’d seriously recommend looking at other options.

Frankly, very little. The platform performs its basic function of collecting and syndicating reviews, but nothing about it stands out as exceptional. Any initial value we saw was quickly overshadowed by poor customer service and rigid, one-sided business practices. If you're a company looking for a true partner, look elsewhere—Bazaarvoice is transactional at best.

Bazaarvoice’s refusal to release us from an auto-renew contract—despite major, documented global economic challenges, including the impact of Trump-era tariffs and a complete collapse of our retail relationships—was infuriating. Their absolute lack of flexibility or empathy made it painfully clear that they prioritize squeezing money from struggling businesses over offering any real support or understanding. It felt exploitative. We no longer had any use for their services, yet they locked us in purely for profit. It was a deeply disappointing experience and a glaring example of what’s wrong with vendor relationships in this industry.

I had the BEST experience with the Bazaarvoice team! They are true industry leaders in the Ratings & Reviews space with a top-notch team. I shared with my colleagues that they would regret not working with Bazaarvoice—the value far outweighed our concerns compared to the minimal cost and ease of the integration and implementation. With their support, we exceeded our 12-month rolling period $5M goal in just four months by millions. Their insights, metrics, and design recommendations for our PDP and PLP layouts were invaluable. I highly recommend them as a partner!

I can't think of anything that I dislike about Bazaarvoice.

Bazaarvoice has great partnerships with top retailers including Home Depot, Lowe's, Tractor Supply and many others. These partnerships provide the opportunity to engage directly on customer sites to answer questions and syndicate reviews.

Bazaarvoice does not have a very large network outside of the United States and in recent years have changed their integration requirements which has proven to be a burden on our digital and IT teams.

As a consumer, reviews have a dramatic influence on our purchasing decisions and Bazaarvoice supports Manufacturers by driving more SEO-friendly content on brand websites and customer sites to improve conversions.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

Bazaarvoice is good for syndication of reviews and is vast in it's partnerships with department stores and other big box retailers, so is a very efficient way to publish your reviews across many partner websites.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

It's a horrible review collection platform and a dinosaur in it's UX platform - Everything is difficult to use and needs "implementation" fees.  While they have robust teams of help and training as you onboard it's just a long cumbersome implementation and just not easy enough to use. It's horrible to try to get out of the contract so be careful on the timing. They promised we would be able to swap between services no problem at contract end and when we tried to "swap" to a different type of service as  they suggested we could, they said it didn't qualify, though they offered that it would be no problem, what a waste of time.  False advertisement for what the platform would intially do which is why we want to swap and then again when we tried to change services at contract end.    If there were another way to syndicate reviews we'd stay far away from this company.

We tried Reviews,  Social commerce/analytics and UGC management &galleries.   The only thing that worked well for us was syndication. Some of the analytics we liked for social, but overall have found better platforms overall.

I love that Bazaarvoice allows for easy connection to customer sites and for generating honest reviews of products.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

I dislike that Bazaarvoice has become increasingly reliant on their portals and pushing the user to online self help tools as opposed to reaching out to people for assistance.  Additionally, they send many notifications without enough actionable information, I'm often confused what I'm supposed to do, if anything.  I prefer when humans are involved who can give the extra level of care and direction on next steps.  I also don't like that now I have to use the "BV Support Community" to track the progress of tasks.  I would feel better serviced if a person would liasion my inputs with their internal systems as opposed to making the users become experts in Bazaarvoice's internal systems through portals, self help articles, webinars, etc.  I have a multi-faceted job with multiple responsibilities and really am not able to devote all of my time to Bazaarvoice.

Gathering and supplying customer reviews from multiple sites in one spot.  We've noticed products with reviews benefit our profits.

I love that there is always someone availabel to answer my questions, or get me to the right person for assistance. They follow up to ensure my problems were solved and to see if I have additonal concerns.  My account manager is quick to respond and very helpful.  I utilize our platform daily for Customer Support and I can easily find information for the customer.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

I sometimes have trouble figuring out how to make it work for what I need.  I am not the most technology savvy so reading an FAQ document on how to code behind the scenes is not easy for me.  There are some features I want to use that just are not as user friendly as I would like. I can ellabortae specifically around what we need/use as acompany if needed.

We are able to monitor and reply to customers reviews when there is an issue.  This makes it great for our customer who is having the issue, but also helps us to serve customer for future use as well.

It is a (theoretically) useful tool to publish your customers' content in the shopping funnel and let shoppers see relevant product reviews. Allows you to maximize the value of your reviews by publishing them across many channels and retailers.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

Nobody at BazaarVoice is concerned with whether or not the reviews actually become visible to shoppers.

BazaarVoice has a team of thousands of thousands of salespeople, presumably hundreds of engineers, but nobody seems to have developed any efficient processes or systems to make sure that the retail partners are publishing the content being shared by the brands and vendors, through BazaarVoice. 

Once they push to retailer's it's "not their problem." I think it is their problem, because the brands are paying BazaarVoice. Overall, their review syndication is an incomplete product. 

Prospective clients, you should add a clause to your contract so that you only have to pay BazaarVoice when your reviews are visible to shoppers. Maybe then they will care.

Supposed to be sharing the extensive customer reviews that we have amassed on our website with shoppers looking for our prodcuts on retailers' websites.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

Their services sound great, and they pretty much have a monopoly on the market since they have the syndication contracts with lots of major retailers that require reviews on your product detail pages, but it requires a ton of checking and follow up on your end, and even if things are set up properly on your end, sometimes the reviews still don't syndicate to the retailer and their support is unable to help, so then you also have to follow up with the retailer's support team.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

They sell you on all the amazing features and retailers require you to have reviews on your products so the service is needed, but it never works properly.  You have to constantly contact support and submit tickets and then sometimes even if everything is set up properly on the Bazaarvoice side, they say they can't help you so you have to contact the retailer to get them to help, so it takes a TON of your time to get a software program to work that you pay TONS of money for.  It's very frustrating.  We also had Bazaarvoice installed on our websites to collect reviews and during installation before anything had been signed off on or finalized, their team started sending review request emails out with another company's branding because they just copied another installation so we were unknowingly sending emails out asking for reviews with the wrong branding.  The only way we found out was because one of our employees ordered something and got the email.  These are only a few of the problems I've had in the 5 or so years we've used the software.  It's very frustrating to pay so much for something and have it not work.  And on top of that, you feel like you have to keep paying for bad service because you need the syndication services to make your retailers happy.  Thankfully our retailers have started partnering with other review syndication software companies so we plan to switch as soon as our contract is up.

It syndicates our reviews to retailers, but it requires TONS of follow up on your end to check if the reviews are showing up, if not, submit tickets, and then sometimes they say everything is fine on the Bazaarvoice end, but it's the retailers side, so you have to submit more tickets on the retailers side.  You would think Bazaarvoice would have a team in place to handle that for their customers since we pay so much for the software.

Syndication from our website to retailers; easy to check and respond to reviews from our website and from retailers; customer support is great if it's a simple issue or question; reporting can give a lot of data. There's a lot to dive into so anyone starting out, or even a seasoned user, should always pay attention to updates and better reports.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

Bazaarvoice does not pull any Amazon reviews or questions (while I understand the reasoning for the most part, other companies are able to do and still do it well, without ruining the quality of other retail reviews); like any other tech, the account manager can change every few months to a year; would love it if retailers could syndicate to our website but I also understand that many retailers own the reviews and that's just possible.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

The amount of time between requesting a campaign and the reviews showing up on site. By the time i go through the process of nominating an item and go through shipment and reviews, we are often sold out already or movfed on to a new priority. It should not take a month to receive a fuffilment file back. The timelines provided are also often unfair as it allows for weeks of time on the Bazaarvoice end, but then we are often expected to ship our items (sometimes hundreds of packages) in a matter of 5 business days. The process of adding items into the catalog has also become incredibly time consuming in the past year since we are no longer able to do so by Excel doc upload. The website is clunky and time consuming. It is hard for us to add each item individually rather than a bulk upload.

I like the platform and how easy it is to access the data in the platform. I also appreciate the quick repsonse time from anyone I email asking for help. I've chatted with a few different team members and different teams, and they have all been super helpful and quick with responses.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

The seeding program was not as quick and seemless as I had hoped. It took much longer than I was told (4-6 weeks) and was a bit confusing to navigate. I don't love the platform for the seeding program and don't think it is super user friendly. I also was not sure when our product arrived at bazaarvoice - was not given a confirmation that our product arrived. I think it would be easier to track if there were emails sent directly to me with updates, as well as updating the platform. Overall, a little disappointed in the seeding program.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

What isn't to like - the customer support is fantastic Bazaarvoice have been attentive from the moment we did our integration through to BAU, we have had constant support. We are especially happy with the ease of syndication which is important for our brand with a presence across a number of marketplaces globally, and the fact the syndication goes both ways, helping the volume of reviews online giving us good insights into how customers feel about our products. It was also an easy way of introducing UGC into our sites as the implementation happened at the same time and we are totally in control of what flows through along with the pages it displays on.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

The cost is higher than some other tools and I spend time justifying the expense. We also haven't introduced other products they offer due to pricing.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

It syndicates product reviews to retailers; sometimes.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

We've had nothing but issues with our syndication catalog. Every three months its another major problem; product reviews missing at retailers, not importing new reviews into the network, fighting with our UGC platform... If I could choose to not use BazaarVoice at all, I would, but unfortunately they have a monopoly on the syndication / Q&A piece with the major retailers; Target, Walmart, etc. If this monopoly is ever broken by another provider entering this space, I would be switching away from BV immediately.

And to top it off, even in the rare instance that our syndicated reviews are working properly, BV has the worst, least intuitive user interface of any SaaS software I've ever used. Everything is fragmented and separated into different modules on the website, so you're constantly jumping back and forth. Even within the individual modules, data is poorly displayed and laid  out in a way that makles basic tasks exceedingly difficult. And my biggest annoyance is the fact that there's no way to clean up the catalog after 10+ years of new products, discontinued products, changing product feeds, changing web store software; I have literally hundreds of duplicate products in my catalog and there's no way to remove them or clean it up; it's nearly impossible to make sense of which products in the catalog are the current ones, and which are legacy. I've asked several times if there's a way to clear it all out and start fresh with a reimport and been told no each time.

We need our website reviews syndicated to third party retailers. We've limited the scope of our BV involvement to only the core task that only they can provide. Everything else we've moved away so we only have to use BV as little as possible.

Being able to gather additional reviews with the sampling programs, is a great asset. If a product isn't performing as well as others, we sample out to generate more positive reviews, which generates more confidence in the brands leading to increases in sales.

The concept of using Bazaarvoice is great. Everyone wants an easy way to collect reviews and show customers the value of your products.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

There were two things that made Bazaarvoice a less than positive experience. The first was that it took months to integrate with our systems. When we contacted Bazaarvoice to request help and move forward with their service we were put into a loop that repeated itself but was of no use in actually helping us. Our President had to get involved and elevate the situation to get a useful response for Bazaarvoice. Second, and I'm not sure Bazaarvoice can control this but we saw some negative reviews from the "influencers" but it was obvious from the review that the influencer never bothered to read or follow the user instructions. It seems like we literally paid to get a poor review from someone who is collecting a pay check by opening packages and writing three lines of uninformed text.

The campaign procress is straightforward and the support is very responsive. BV has a big pool of clients and products get picked very quickly. BV also has a large network of retailers that reviews can be syndicated to.

One area that can be improved is the campaign and support communication. Although the team is quick to response, there's no easy way to track a campaign progress or a ticket status since everything is done through email. It would be great to integrate a campaign and ticket tracker into the BV portal.

Implementation took 6+ months.
Sampling campaign fulfillment costs were higher than the actual cost of the product (window ACs). We ended up shipping them ourselves for 1/5 of the cost.
A sampling campaign at Costco that I tried launching in August 2023 had so many roadblocks and unanswered emails that I eventually gave up. 
The syndication network, in partnership with PowerReviews, included very important retailers to us. Then, Bazaarvoice ended the partnership with PowerReviews.
The new Bazaarvoice Deals solution that offers reviews "without the hassle of physical sample distribution" requires the manufacturer (me) to contact the retailers to generate and track coupon codes. That solution was offered to substitute my current partnership with Caddle which offers rebates (after purchase) in exchange for reviews and requires zero work from me and my retailers.
I could keep going, but I'm out of time.

The breadth of the tool - within the configuration, we have a complete ratings & reviews program enabled, from setting the Collection, enabling the Display and providing an area for Response.  The analytics tools are decent; the Client Success team is great.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

I'm not responsible for the contract, but I'm sure it's not cheap.  This is a brand that has been running ratings & reviews for years and years, so they know their stuff.  As a software company using the service, we don't use a lot of the UGC features that other brands might enjoy - specifically visual posts etc.

Bazaarvoice enables our team to monitor customer sentiment and catch Support issues quickly.  We don't utlize the UGC as much as we could but we're working on it. We've been using Bazaarvoice for a while now, and it's made a big difference for our online store. The setup was pretty straightforward, and the platform is easy to navigate. We've noticed a real increase in the number of genuine customer reviews, which has been great for building trust with new shoppers.

The review moderation is solid, so we don't have to worry about fake or irrelevant feedback slipping through. Plus, the analytics tools are super helpful for understanding what our customers think and how our products are performing.

Their support team is also really responsive and helpful whenever we have questions.

The campaign setup process is generally pretty fast, and we receive fulfillment files within 1-2 weeks of launch, which is helpful when we need to get reviews in quickly

Having to constantly keep track of samples sent out that yield no reviews and report to the campaign support team. Broken site functionality, poor and faulty launch of new platform / website with many missing features from prior. Follow-up from account manager is sparse to non-existent, and is unhelpful regardless. Support team using AI chatbots to send email responses that progress nothing. Delays in campaign communication are common. No way to check campaign cases outside of email copies now, as they are no longer found in the support case directory. Zero notifcation about major changes in procedure and site infrastructure, we're expected to figure it out ourselves as we go. All in all, lots of bad changes have been made that are making us reconsider our UGC collection strategies in the future.

I appreciate the collaboration between the BV team and ours, including the proactive and regular status updates on our projects, and ongoing outreach on potential future needs and networking events. The campaign platform is not the most user friendly. It takes a while to navigate and to find the information I'm looking for. Sometimes there are even permissions issues that as an account owner/admin I am not able to fix, which is frustrating.

We are about to integrate it into our CRM system but we have been using it independent from that system for several years and it provides us quick access to all of our reviews from both our website as well as our many retailers.  We also can answer website questions for our retailers to be active and involved and aware of the questions to better focus our copywrite and marketing information to prevent customer confusion. We used to need to go to each individual retailers site and have several different log-ins, now we have one, our Bazaarvoice log in.  It is user friendly and not intimidating.

I like the ability to synchronize reviews to most of the major retailers we sell to. I like that the customer base is big and the products always get selected.

I dislike that the cost of using BV has gone up significantly YoY. You are required to pay for usage of the platform and for the sampling units. Units also expire and there is no leeway on this. The turnover for BV support and account managers is quite often as every year there is a new person of contact. The new updated process of sending campaigns is tedious and counterintuitive for items with multiple finishes. The response time for the customer support team can sometimes takes weeks to reply back. The platform itself has bugs and kinks that we have to utilize suppport to find infomation or synchronize information to.

We can reply back to customers' questions which helps provide customer support to the end-users. We can also add syndicated reviews to help with review count and sales.

Our brand relies heavily on consumer generated content.  This tool gives people the opportunity to tell us how they feel about our products and gives us a chance to respond faster then we could elsewhere on the web. We didn't get many reviews until we added an incentive to leave a review. Now we have quite a few. It also took us a while to achieve our main goal of Google picking up the new reviews and adding them (in the form of star ratings) to our products in Google search results. Now they have done so.

If your set of products is frequently changing like ours, it is difficult to keep up.  it becomes especially difficult to keep enough reviews on your page.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

The customer support has been fantastic. I have spoken to reps as well as technical support. They are quick to reply, thorough and always willing to assist with any questions big or small no matter how long it takes or how many time syou have to bug them. The platform is also really user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

The filtering in the new view can be clumsy and determining what everything means takes some getting used to and some customization which isn't all that unexpected. When needed,  support has been extremely responsive and answered a lot of questions as i navigated through the platform initially.

Providing a platform to collect and tend to customer quesitons and reviews.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

We have successfully run one campaign and we are working on our second. I am thoroughly impressed by the responsiveness of the customer support team. Any questions I have had were answered within the same day. The process to set up a campaign was straighforward and easy to learn. The dashboard has a great overview of quick data points.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

I would prefer the new campaign request feature in the portal had a mass upload option. Our campaign has over 10 products and uploading the products one by one was very time consuming. 

The order list once the campaign is approved should be sorted by reviewer to see if a reviewer is getting more than one item.

**What problems is Bazaarvoice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bazaarvoice is helping to bring attention to our low-rated items or items without reviews on major retailers' sites.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

Bazaarvoice's ease of implementation in order to get up and running with collecting reviews and syndicating those reviews to third party retailers is incredibly beneficial, especially when new products are involved. 

Their customer support team is very responsive, too, so most issues are usually able to be resolved within a few days.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

In certain instances, the Bazaarvoice portal isn't as intuitive as one would hope. In particular, I wish it were easier to understand exactly how to edit the review module. A WYSIWYG editor might be beneficial to the administrators in order to achieve this.

Also, some retailers are listed in the Bazaarvoice network, but don't always accept syndicated reviews per their own internal rules, so it would be nice to have insight as to which retailers fall into this category, so that we can formulate different strategies with these retailers.

**What problems is Bazaarvoice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Bazaarvoice sampling (Influencer) program has helped us solve the problem of how to gather ratings and reviews for products before they are officially anounced to the public. It's beneficial to launch a product with reviews already attached to it in order to drive initial sales. By allowing reivews to be collected throught the sampling program, we can go live with a product and already have reviews associated with it, instead of having to wait a few for consumers to leave reviews by their own accord.

**What do you like best about Bazaarvoice?**

I like all of the Social Commerce capabilities. There are many ways to feature products, and I love how you can customize your Like2Buy pages to look and feel like an extension of your brand website.

My team uses Bazaarvoice across many touchpoints, including ratings & reviews, social media scheduling, insights and reports, and UGC. Integrating the social channels and connecting the product catalog is very simple. 

The support team is very quick to respond and help solve issues.

**What do you dislike about Bazaarvoice?**

The insights and report page can sometimes be confusing. The date range doesn't always replicate in the bottom half of the report page.
