"Clear Interface and Effortless Thread Organization"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

User interface is very clear and threads are easy to organize and follow Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Things can get a little messy when you have a lot of open threads. In addition, button are not always clear (the “post” button is less visible than the “draft” button and sometimes new messages never get sent) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Basecamp keeps our team aligned and projects moving"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

Basecamp makes project management simple and organized. I like how everything—tasks, documents, discussions, and deadlines—lives in one place, which cuts down on scattered communication. The interface is straightforward, onboarding new team members is easy, and the notification system ensures nothing slips through the cracks. It’s especially helpful for keeping distributed teams aligned and accountable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

There’s not much to dislike. Some advanced reporting and integrations are more limited compared to other platforms, but Basecamp’s strength is in its simplicity. For teams that value clarity and ease of use over complexity, it’s an excellent choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

What I like best about Basecamp is how simple and organised everything feels. It keeps communication, tasks, and files all in one place, which makes collaboration clear and reduces the need for multiple tools. The clean interface also makes it easy for teams to stay focused and on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

What I dislike about Basecamp is that it can feel a bit limited compared to more advanced project management tools. Customisation options and reporting features are fairly basic, which can make it harder to manage complex projects or track detailed progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"strategic enabler for resource driven project success"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

As someone who oversees multiple teams and projects, i appreciate tools that reduce noise rather than add to it. Basecamp is one just tool which does a great job of centralizing communication, tasks and files in a way that is easy for everyone to adopt from engineers to non technical management. The tool's resource management capabilities bring structure and visibility to complex project environments without overwhelming the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

basecamp tool helps me to stay organized without overcomplicating things. It is not overloaded with features and that is exactly why it works so well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Basecamp is great for team flow"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

Basecamp gives me a bird's eye view of everything that is happening without having to search through threads or chase updates. It is not just a project management tool, it is a culture enabler. I especially appreciate how basecamp encourages asynchronous communication. It reduces the need for constant meetings and slack pings, which means my team can focus more on deep work and creative thinking. The automatic check-ins are a game changer for visibility without micromanagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

basecamp's flat structure while great for transparency can make it harder to manage complex and multi phase projects with dependencies. It requires me to bridge these gaps manually. At the same time, I appreciate basecamp's minimalist approach, but that same simplicity can sometimes feel limiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A solid tool for managing projects and teams"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

I love the task management ability. I can create to-do lists, assign tasks and set deadlines in just a few clicks. It is easy to see who is responsible for what and i don't have to micromanage because progress is visible at a glance. That saves me time and keeps the team accountable without adding stress. I don't have to dig through endless threads or juggle multiple tools, everything is right there, organized and easy to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Notifications from the application sometimes is overwhelming for me. I sometimes feel like I'm drowning in updates or missing important ones because there is not enough granularity in how alerts are managed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps projects organized and the team connected effortlessly"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

What I like most is how simple it is to keep everything organized in one place. I can assign tasks, share files, have group discussions, and track progress without jumping between multiple tools. The to-do lists and automatic check-ins save me from having to chase people for updates, and the notifications are clear without being overwhelming. It’s also super easy for new team members to get on board since there’s hardly any learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

While it’s great for keeping things simple, sometimes I wish it had more advanced features for project tracking, like Gantt charts or time tracking without needing third-party apps. The interface works fine, but it feels a little dated, and customizing the layout is pretty limited. Also, when managing multiple complex projects at once, it can get tricky to keep a high-level overview without extra tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
