Barracuda Backup Pros and Cons

Barracuda Backup backs up our servers and production PCs that run our industrial machines with ease. We back up all our servers on a Hyper-V environment daily and the production PCs very from weekly, monthly and quarterly. Very simple to custom brand the system for our clients. Easy to deploy, easy to adjust settings on a system by system basis (bandwidth utilization etc.). Very good tech support response on issues, dashboard is simple to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Long turnaround for seed loads (approx. 2 weeks) - but depending on bandwidth available a seed load is only needed for initial backups of 3+ gig. Backup service fails to restart consistently after a system restart, would like a better notification process for issues like that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Barracuda backup appliance makes it easy to set up and easy to use even if you haven't touched it in 6 months. the support team is very helpful as well.

The interface is a bit dated and it will take a few clicks to get to where you want to go if you haven't done it in awhile. Occasionally your Test Credentials do not always work even though they do when it comes time to the actual backup.

Barracuda Backup is an amazing tool, since I started to implement it I feel much more secure against cybercriminals, hardware failures, natural disasters, and more, etc. The main things I like about Barracuda Backup are:

- Data recovery is very simple, with a few clicks I can recover my data without any problem

- Backup and VMware integration

- Very good deduplication

- Intuitive and complete user interface, its implementation was quite simple

- Secure and fast cloud backup

I am quite satisfied with the Barracuda Backup service, the only aspect that you should improve is its cost, which in my opinion is high, otherwise, all its characteristics are adapted to my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
