The interface is a bit dated and it will take a few clicks to get to where you want to go if you haven't done it in awhile. Occasionally your Test Credentials do not always work even though they do when it comes time to the actual backup.

The ability to tailor each source backup to include/exclude what you want. You can include everything on all drives, or select specific drives and folders to be backed up.
You can have specific backup schedules for each source you are backing up. For example - this allows you to set one server to back Monday - Friday, and other servers to backup seven days a week, etc. You can also specify multiple backups per day.
Retention of data can be tailored for each backup source, allowing you to keep daily (multiple if you choose), weekly, monthly, and yearly backups. You can also specify if you want monthly and yearly backups to be only saved in the cloud, thereby freeing up more space on your on-prem device for more frequent daily and weekly backups. You can split folders on one source to have different retention schedules - for example: you may have accounting folders that you want to retain for a longer period than other folders, you can make this retention schedule easily.
The ability to restore from an on-prem device and not only the cloud, makes restoring go much quicker and easier. If needed, you can go back in time by accessing the backups in the cloud, but it is always faster if you can find everything on the on-prem device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First off I must give high praises to the Support and Engineering teams at Barracuda. They are the most helpful, timely, and knowledgeable we have encountered. As for the Backup Solution, it is easy to install and easy to use. While the ability to replicate from one appliance to another at some other location is great, we also like that we can replicate to a Secure Barracuda Data Center. It was a little trick understanding the retention policies at first. Being used to working with full, incremental, and differential backups made this something we had to learn.
