"User-Friendly All-in-One Platform with an Excellent PTO Calculator"
What do you like best about BambooHR?

The thing I like most about BambooHR is how user-friendly it is. It’s really easy to log in and submit requests, upload forms, and complete surveys without any hassle. I also appreciate that it offers a variety of uses all in one platform, so I don’t have to jump between different tools. Nothing feels hidden, and what I need is usually straightforward to find. I’d say I log in almost every day to check out the features and review my benefits. The PTO request feature is especially nice, and the PTO calculator makes it even better. What do you dislike about BambooHR?

Honestly, the main thing I’d like to see improved is the AI assistant. I understand it’s currently in beta, so it’s still being refined and worked on. I’m not too concerned about it, though, because I know companies are constantly trying to improve how their AI interfaces work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps staff info organized without much effort"
What do you like best about BambooHR?

I work as a Clinic Manager, Dietician & Nutritionist, and also create health education content. BambooHR interface is clean and simple . It helps me keep employee information in one place and makes it easy to manage basic people-related work without confusion. The setup was simple, and I could start using it without much help.

I can quickly check roles, joining details, and keep records updated without spending too much time. I also find it helpful for keeping salary details and basic compensation info organized in one place, instead of managing everything in separate files. The layout is clear, so I don’t feel lost while using different sections. Even for someone who is not from a pure HR background, it feels easy to use. I use it regularly to keep things updated and organized.

Overall, it helps me stay on top of employee records, basic compensation details, and hiring-related work in one place. This way I can focus more on my core work and not worry about managing people information across different tools or spreadsheets. I also like that it connects well with other basic tools and the support is helpful when you need simple guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

There isn’t anything major that I dislike about BambooHR. Sometimes I just need a little time to remember where certain options are, especially the ones I don’t use every day.

A few parts feel more detailed than I need for quick updates, so I take a moment to go through the steps properly. It’s not a problem, just something you notice when you are in a hurry.

Other than that, my overall experience has been smooth, and these are very minor points that don’t really change how useful the tool is for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"BambooHR’s Clean, Intuitive HR Platform Makes Life Easier for HR and Employees"
What do you like best about BambooHR?

What I like most about BambooHR is how intuitive and easy it is to use. The interface is clean and visually appealing, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming, even if you’re not in the system every day. Everything is laid out in a logical way, which makes it easy to find what you need and move through tasks efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

One thing I dislike is the lack of a live connection to Microsoft Azure for the PTO calendar. Because there isn’t a real-time sync, PTO visibility requires a cumbersome workaround. A more dynamic or automated connection would make it easier to keep calendars aligned across systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly HR Hub with Smooth Self-Service, Time-Off, and Integrations"
What do you like best about BambooHR?

1. Extremely user-friendly interface

The design is clean and intuitive, so both HR and employees can easily navigate without extensive training.

2. Centralized employee information

All essential data — personal info, job history, documents, org charts — is in one place, which makes HR processes much smoother.

3. Great self-service for employees

Team members can view their own info, download documents, request time off, and update details without needing HR support every time.

4. Efficient performance and goals tools

The performance reviews and goal-tracking features help create a structured development culture without extra software.

5. Time-off management that just works

BambooHR makes leave tracking, approval workflows, and team calendars really simple — much more transparent and less error-prone.

6. Reporting and analytics

The reporting tools give insights into trends like turnover and headcount that help with data-driven decisions.

7. Integrations

It connects well with payroll, ATS, and other tools, so HR systems work together rather than in silos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

1. Limited advanced reporting flexibility

While reporting is solid for standard use, deeper custom analytics or highly complex cross-module reports can be restrictive without exporting data.

2. Workflow automation could be stronger

Some approval or task automation features are useful, but for more complex multi-step processes (beyond basic time-off or onboarding), it can feel limited compared to dedicated workflow tools.

3. Performance management features are basic

The performance and goals tools are great for standard reviews, but if you need highly customizable or frequent real-time feedback flows, they can sometimes feel simplistic.

4. Mobile experience has room to grow

The core functionality is there on mobile, but certain tasks like detailed approvals or reporting feel better on desktop — which can impact managers who are on the go.

5. Add-on costs

Some useful features or modules are available only as add-ons, which can increase total cost if you want the full suite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Tool Overall"
What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR is easy to use and has a pretty intuitive UI. I use it regularly, usually to check or request for my time off or check others' planned leave and birthdays. I think it's great that I can easily access others calendars and even know about they celebrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

I wish it was clearer if my requested time off is accepted or not - there is only an icon which is not obvious for me. I think integration with email is fine but I would consider giving the user more control of notifications they want to get - I only get notified about my own time off which I find a little redundant. "People First HR, Scaling Culture with an Intuitive and Visual Dashboard"
What do you like best about BambooHR?

The celebrations and welcome widgets on the home dashboard are fantastic for fostering a positive company culture even in a fast scaling environment like ours. I love how I can see upcoming birthdays and new highers at a glass ensuring that no team member feels overlooked. The time of requests widgets is a huge time saver highlighting urgent request so I can handle them instantly without digging through menus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

When the dashboard is visually appealing I have found that the time of used graph can sometimes be a bit simplistic if you need to track complex accruals cross different global regions. The incomplete trainings section can become a bit cluttered if you have a large number of mandatory annual modules assigned at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use it often because it brings all HR tasks into one place, has the right set of features without being complicated, integrates easily with other tools, and the customer support is reliable when help is needed. "BambooHR takes the stress out of HR and makes it feel more personal, clear, and easy."
What do you like best about BambooHR?

I think BambooHR stands out because it tries to make HR stuff feel more human and less complicated for everyone involved. Like, the way it cuts down on all that extra paperwork or whatever, so people can actually focus on things that matter, you know, like team growth or just building a better work vibe.

That emphasis on being transparent and easy to use, plus always getting better, it seems like they really get what HR folks deal with every day, and what employees want too.

Not sure if every part is perfect, but overall it supports people in a way that feels genuine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

BambooHR has this issue where the advanced stuff like customization and reporting doesn't always cut it for bigger companies or ones that keep changing.

I mean, its super easy to use, which is nice, but as teams grow, they might need more options, you know, deeper controls or something finer tuned.

That simplicity though, it's probably what makes it good in the first place. And they do listen to users, keep making it better over time. It feels like that part could go either way depending on what you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"BambooHR: Simple, Secure, Clear Interface with Easy Role-Based Access"
What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR has a simple interface that’s easy to navigate. The role-based access control within the platform makes it straightforward to grant different levels of access to employees and managers. The organization charts are also easy to find and navigate. Overall, BambooHR keeps things clear and doesn’t overcomplicate the experience. I use BambooHR almost everyday to see my available number of leaves and also information about the team members I manage.

BambooHR integrates well with other softwares like payroll software. As it is a SaaS(software as a service) platform it is very easy to implement, it is as simple as creating an account and logging into it.

On the security front, one can easily integrate MFA/2FA for login, or integrate with organization email domain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

The training is needed to understand where files are uploaded, who has access to those files, and, overall, how to navigate the software effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keep Our Team Organized"
What do you like best about BambooHR?

I LOVE the task function. It sends me email reminders when things are coming up to their due date—meetings, recurring events, and annual paperwork. It helps our small team (18 people) still feel manageable and organized. I use it weekly, if not more, to create personal goals within my job, and I can break those goals down into baby steps. That makes it easier for me to evaluate my own work and keep track of my colleagues’ work too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

I wish it could integrate with programs I already use for tracking—for example, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft To Do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
