## Backlog Reviews
 ### 1. Simple task management that keeps our team on track

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luong B. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

Backlog has a clean and intuitive interface that makes it easy to manage tasks, bugs, and projects in one place. I especially like how issues, comments, and file attachments are organized clearly, which helps keep communication within the team efficient and transparent.

The task tracking system is simple but powerful, allowing me to quickly create, assign, and update tasks without confusion. Features like version control integration and progress tracking help improve workflow and keep everyone aligned.

Overall, Backlog improves productivity by reducing the need for multiple tools and making collaboration smoother on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

There are a few things that could be improved based on my experience using Backlog. While the interface is generally clean, it sometimes feels a bit outdated and not as smooth or intuitive as some newer tools. Certain actions, like updating tasks or navigating between sections, can take more clicks than expected.

I’ve also noticed that performance can slow down when working with larger projects or a high number of tasks. Loading times are occasionally longer than expected, especially when switching between tabs or viewing detailed issue lists.

Another limitation is the lack of deeper customization. For example, it would be helpful to have more flexible dashboard options or ways to better organize tasks based on specific workflows.

Overall, these issues are not deal-breakers, but improving speed, reducing friction in navigation, and adding more customization would significantly enhance the user experience.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Backlog, we struggled with keeping tasks, bugs, and communication organized across multiple workflows. It was easy to lose track of updates, and we often had to switch between different tools to manage projects, which caused confusion and wasted time.

With Backlog, we can now manage tasks, bug tracking, and team communication in one place. This has made it much easier to stay organized and keep everyone aligned on project progress. Assigning tasks and tracking updates is more straightforward, which reduces miscommunication within the team.

As a result, we’ve been able to save time on coordination and improve overall workflow efficiency. It’s also easier to handle multiple projects at once without losing visibility, which is especially helpful when managing a large number of tasks or accounts.

 ### 2. Efficient Ticketing and Collaboration, Needs Better Role Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sherin J. | Program Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I appreciate how Backlog provides client transparency into what is going on in a ticket. It stores all the history and related documents in one place, which includes all conversations and approvals. I like that we can add custom fields, making it adaptable to our needs. Integrating it with Teams for instant update notifications is another aspect I enjoy. The switch to Backlog was driven by needing a more modern system that allows unlimited users, has no file upload size restrictions, and supports collaboration with outside organization users. The initial setup and migration from the old system were quite easy.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Need more restrictive user roles. There should be more options for access to different user roles, like the ability to restrict access to the Document section or Wiki section, or restrict the ability to update or edit certain fields - customizable. Limitation on the number of Statuses you can add. No major updates in a while. No human online software support. Any suggestiosn put in the Community portal says they will send it to the developers but no updates or fixes are actually being made. Need the Ability to remove standard fields or at least hid, the Issues look cluttered with all the unwanted fields that aren't used. Limit on the issue attachement to 10MB, we use the work around of Files section. We need more notifications to align with our SLA - for e.g if a ticket has not been responded to for more than 2 weeks, or if tickets are left open for more than 30 days in a certain status. This way stale tickets aren't out there, and the required users are notified appropriately. Ability to manually push 1 off email notifications for specific tickets to users even if they haven't subscribed to notifications.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog provides client transparency, stores history and documents in one place, and allows customization with fields.

**Official Response from Cheryl Qian:**

> Hi Sherin,

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We appreciate your positive comments about our collaboration tool, user interface, and customer support. We understand your concerns about the limitations and features you'd like to see improved. We are constantly working on enhancing our platform. Your suggestions regarding comments navigation and exporting select columns are currently on our product's roadmap for future updates.

Please note that Backlog allows permissions customization for admins and member roles.

 ### 3. Seamless Task Management + Git in One Clean, Intuitive Workspace

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rizwanulla K. | Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

The best part of Backlog is the seamless integration between task management and version control. Having Git repositories, Wikis, and Gantt charts all in one place eliminates the need to jump between different tools. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it much easier for non-technical team members to navigate compared to more complex tools like Jira

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

While the simplicity is a strength, the mobile app feels a bit limited and doesn't offer the full functionality of the desktop version. I would also love to see more advanced automation features and a wider range of native third-party integrations with tools outside of the Nulab ecosystem to further streamline our workflows

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog solves the problem of 'information silos' within our development team. By linking code commits directly to task issues, we have full transparency on why changes were made. This centralized hub has significantly improved our project visibility and helped us maintain more accurate timelines, ensuring we hit our release dates more consistently.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Rizwanulla,

Thanks for your review!

We're glad Backlog's seamless Git integration, clean interface, and all-in-one workspace are helping your team, especially making things easier for non-technical members while eliminating tool-switching.

Thanks for the honest feedback on the mobile app, advanced automation, and third-party integrations. We know the mobile experience still has room to grow, and more native integrations would be valuable. Your suggestions have been shared with the product team.

Your feedback helps us continue improving, thank you!

 ### 4. Efficient All-in-One Solution for Development and Project Tracking

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nghi P. | IOS Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

The most impressive aspect of Backlog is how it seamlessly integrates project management with version control (Git/SVN). Unlike other tools where you have to jump between tabs, Backlog allows us to link pull requests and code commits directly to specific tasks. This creates a high level of transparency for our development team. I also really appreciate the built-in Gantt charts and Burndown charts—they update automatically as we move tasks, which makes tracking our sprint progress incredibly intuitive without any manual spreadsheet work.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

While Backlog is great for overall project management, the mobile app experience could be more robust. It's functional for checking updates, but performing complex tasks like editing Gantt charts or detailed issue management on the go is still a bit clunky. Additionally, the integration options with third-party tools outside of the Nulab ecosystem are somewhat limited compared to Jira. I'd love to see more native integrations with popular marketing or sales tools without having to rely heavily on Zapier or APIs.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

"Before adopting Backlog, our team struggled with fragmented communication. We were using three different tools for task tracking, bug reporting, and code management, which led to a lot of 'information silos' and missed deadlines. Backlog solved this by providing an all-in-one platform where developers and project managers can collaborate in one place. Since the implementation, our project delivery speed has improved by roughly 20% because we no longer waste time syncing data between platforms. It has specifically helped us streamline our bug-fixing process, as we can now link issues directly to the relevant code changes, making QA much more efficient.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We really appreciate it, even with the low rating.

We're glad the seamless Git integration, automatic Gantt & Burndown charts, and all-in-one platform are bringing transparency and efficiency to your workflow.

We’re sorry to hear the mobile app still feels limited for complex tasks like editing Gantt charts on the go. We're actively working on further improvements to the mobile experience.

On integrations, we offer native Slack and Microsoft Teams support plus a full API. Your feedback about wanting more native third-party integrations (especially marketing/sales tools) has been shared with the product team.

Thank you again for the honest review. We value your input!

 ### 5. Backlog: Easy, Affordable Project Management with Strong Collaboration & Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** IRUNGU G. | technical lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

Backlog is most helpful to me as a simple, centralized way to manage projects, tasks, and team communication in one place. Its main upsides are ease of use, clear task tracking, and strong collaboration features like comments, notifications, and shared wikis. Visual tools such as Kanban boards, Gantt charts, and burndown charts help teams plan work and monitor progress. For software teams, built-in Git integration improves traceability between code and tasks. Overall, Backlog increases transparency, accountability, and productivity while remaining affordable and easy to adopt for small to mid-sized teams.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

The least helpful aspects of Backlog i have experienced are its limited advanced features and customization compared to more powerful tools like Jira. It may feel restrictive for large or complex projects that require detailed workflows, automation, or advanced reporting. Backlog’s integrations with third-party apps are also relatively limited, which can be a drawback for teams using many external tools. Its user interface, while simple, can feel basic and less flexible for power users. Additionally, Backlog is less suited for organizations needing highly scalable enterprise-level project management or deep analytics.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A backlog solves the problem of unclear priorities and forgotten work for me by organizing tasks in one visible, ranked list. It reduces chaos, prevents overcommitment, and makes trade-offs explicit. This benefits me by improving focus, decision-making, and efficiency, while building trust with stakeholders and creating a clear sense of progress and direction in daily work

**Official Response from Joanna Latarska:**

> Dear Irungu,

Thank you for your review! It's great to hear that you find Backlog to be a very helpful centralized platform to manage projects, and that its features such as Kanban boards, Gantt charts, and burndown charts help your teams with planning work and monitoring progress.

Thank you for your feedback on the advanced features, customization, integrations, UI and analytics as well, our team will review it. Please also see the link to the Custom fields feature for your reference attached.

 ### 6. Backlog: Essential for Trackable Engineering Success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** tan s. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I find Backlog great for keeping my engineering projects on track by breaking down big goals into bite-size tasks. I love seeing progress visually and moving tasks from 'In Progress' to 'Resolved'. Once a task is in Backlog, I can forget about it, which saves my brain for actual engineering work. I appreciate that Backlog remembers where I stopped, so I don't wonder if I've finished something. I like that when a task is complete or a comment is left, notifications pop up in Slack or Teams. The flat-rate pricing for up to 30 users is fantastic for small groups, and the built-in Wikis and Git repositories are a massive win for engineering projects.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

It would be great if there was a 'Simple Mode' that just showed the to-do list and the board until you actually needed the heavy-duty engineering tools. A simplified Kanban board where you only see To-Do, Doing, and Done. No 'Milestones,' 'Categories,' or 'Versions' visible unless you toggle them on.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog to keep engineering projects on track by breaking down goals into small tasks. It helps remember tasks for me, freeing my brain for engineering work. Notifications integrate with Slack or Teams, keeping files and chats task-focused, preventing information loss.

 ### 7. Organizational Clarity with Powerful Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mai N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like how Backlog brings clarity, order, and focus to what can otherwise be a chaotic mix of scripts, abstracts, and ideas. It's really helpful to see a list of everything that needs to be done in one visible place. I also appreciate the way it reduces stress and aligns the team by letting everyone see what's coming up next and why it matters. The software helps in keeping the Backlog clean and realistic, which is valuable for maintaining order over time. Its ability to improve collaboration is a major plus.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

It's not perfect. Something not working as well could be overwhelming if not cleaned regularly. A backlog can grow too late, turning it into a messy list. It takes significant effort to manage. Prioritization can be challenging, especially when stakeholders have different opinions. There is a lack of visibility for non-team members, making it hard to understand the backlog without explanations.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog to keep track of features, additions, and projects, helping decide what to work on next. It prevents scope creep, keeps everything organized, and aligns tasks with business value.

 ### 8. Efficient Bug Management, Needs Better Attachment Handling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praveen Kumar S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I find Backlog's notification system very helpful, as it sends notifications for every change, making it easy to know the updates happening in assigned tasks. I also appreciate the attachment upload option, which is very useful for filing and fixing bugs and tasks. The ability to manage version control for filed bugs and tasks is a significant advantage, especially with managing Git based on category. When it comes to filing and filtering, the 'me' option is incredibly useful and easily accessible. The initial setup was very simple, and just logging in was sufficient. Overall, Backlog makes it easy to stay informed and manage tasks efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

I find it frustrating that we can only upload one attachment per task, which isn't sufficient. For instance, in tasks where you're filing 3-4 test cases, you're restricted to uploading just one attachment.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog for filing and fixing bugs and tasks. It manages version control, is easy for accessing filed tasks, and notifications keep me updated on changes.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Praveen,

Thanks for sharing your experience with Backlog! We’re glad to hear notifications, version control, and the “me” filter are helping you stay on top of tasks.

Regarding attachments, the number allowed per issue depends on your plan. We appreciate you letting us know how Backlog is supporting your workflow!

 ### 9. Backlog helps me track fast and accessible even on mobile via teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I have 2 things I like in backlog. 1st I like how I can see the status of my task when i let my project be test in QA and also the Board helps me to see all pending and in progress task. And 2nd, I like is the connection between backlog and teams, this helps more to track my task status and request help anywhere I go since I can use also my phone. This helps my job work more. Backlog really helps me in work to be more ease and traceable and documented in a second especially when informing the client and same goes to me it works fast and reliable communication tool too when you don't like to interact with people but want to inform them what your task status or where is the status of your request help.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

I don't have dislike about backlog since backlog is easily to use and navigate.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking task / request help status - this help me to be track and be informed the status of my tasks after QA. Also the connection between backlog and team, helps me to attend the task easily and solve it quick and make my client happy.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Thank you so much for the fantastic review!

We’re thrilled to hear that Backlog is helping you bridge the gap between your mobile device and your desktop via the Microsoft Teams integration. It’s great to know that the Board view and real-time status updates are making your QA process smoother and keeping your clients happy!

We also love that you highlighted how Backlog helps with 'quiet' collaboration, letting the tool handle the status updates so you can focus on the work itself.

Thanks for being part of the Nulab community!

 ### 10. Easy to Use with a Simple, Intuitive UI

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

Ease of Use
Ease of Implementation
Simplicity and Intuitive UI

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Only supports a single level of subtasks (Parent Task -> Child Task).
Tedious Text Formatting: Having to memorize specific syntax rules just to bold text, format code blocks, or build simple tables slows down your workflow. It is especially annoying when you just want to quickly copy-paste formatted text from a Google Doc or Slack, only to have to re-format everything manually using Backlog's syntax.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem: Scattered Project Documentation
The Problem: Important project details, technical requirements, and meeting notes often get buried in Slack threads, lost in email chains, or scattered across various Google Docs.

The Benefit: Backlog solves this with its built-in Wikis for each project. The benefit is a centralized "single source of truth." Team members can link code commits and task updates directly to the relevant Wiki page, making onboarding new employees much faster and preventing knowledge loss.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Thanks for your review! We’re glad to hear that Backlog’s ease of use, simple setup, and intuitive interface are working well for you. It’s also great to know that features like Wikis are helping your team centralize documentation and create a reliable single source of truth.

We appreciate your feedback on subtask levels and text formatting, and we’ve shared it with our product team as we continue improving flexibility and making formatting more seamless.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

 ### 11. Project management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nguyen Q. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

It brilliantly merges technical essentials like Git repositories and Wikis directly with task tracking, saving developers from the constant headache of switching between different apps. The automatic Gantt charts are another standout feature, providing a crystal-clear visual of the project’s timeline without requiring any tedious manual setup

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Backlog offers limited customization for complex or non-standard project workflows. Large projects can suffer from noticeable performance lag when handling a high volume of tasks. The mobile application is quite restricted and lacks many essential features available on the desktop version. Reporting and analytics tools are relatively basic and lack advanced analytical depth. Finally, the integration library is smaller compared to most major enterprise competitors.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog helps solve the problem of scattered task management and unclear project visibility. By centralizing tasks, discussions, and progress tracking, it allows me to stay organized, prioritize effectively, and collaborate more efficiently with my team. This ultimately improves productivity and ensures that deadlines and project goals are consistently met.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Nguyen,

Thank you for your review!

We're glad Backlog's integration of Git repositories, Wikis, task tracking, and automatic Gantt charts are helping you eliminate tool-switching and get clear visibility into your projects.

We appreciate your honest feedback on customization, performance with large projects, the mobile app, reporting/analytics, and integrations. We’ve shared all of these points with our product team.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback helps us continue improving!

 ### 12. Nice tool when working with multiple project. Need improve UX

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

- The Wiki tab helps me cut down the time I spend searching for the project’s most important information.
- The visual dashboard and Gantt chart also make it easier for me to stay on top of tasks and keep track of deadlines.
- The bulk edit function helps to save a lot of time when changing information of multiple tickets.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

- I have to download videos from the attached file if I want to watch them, because I can’t watch them online.
- When creating an issue, the number of times I tap the Add button is the number of issues that get created, which leads to multiple duplicate issues.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog helps me save a lot of time finding issues to resolve when I’m switching between multiple projects, and it also reduces the mental fatigue that comes with changing context from one project to another. Here, it has Wiki & files feature that makes it easier for me to find information and download files that I need for each project.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Thanks for your review!

We're glad the Wiki, visual dashboard, Gantt charts, and bulk edit function are helping you save time and stay organized across multiple projects.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback!

 ### 13. Simple Yet Collaborative, Streamlined Workflow Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim B. | Chief Operating Officer at Homecare GPS, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like that Backlog is very simple and easy to track, making it straightforward to use. It allows us to collaborate with our teams across the globe, which is really beneficial. The fact that it's online helps a lot, and the feature set, including the repository, Wiki, and ticketing system, is useful for our engineers to share the necessary data. These features fit into our workflow well and effectively support our team and company.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

I'd say one of the areas of improvement is if I have a ticket that has a lot of screenshots, there's a limit to the number of screenshots you can put in. And if I delete some, in the text, it doesn't necessarily delete it from the ticket, and there's a limit of, I believe, 30 images that you can attach to a ticket. So it would help on some of the tickets that we could extend that because otherwise, I have to open a new ticket and you lose the history. Also, being able to have a way of resetting your password. I know one of my engineers has had difficulty with logging in, and then he had to create a new user because he couldn't reset the password and there were no people he could call to do that. You know? It's just not allowing him to access his data. So that was problematic, but we worked around the issue.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog for its ticketing system, repository, and Wiki, which streamline communication with engineers and help in sharing data. It's simple, easy to track, and facilitates global collaboration.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Kim,

Thank you for your review!

We're glad Backlog’s simplicity and features like the repository, Wiki, and ticketing system are helping your global team collaborate effectively.

We appreciate your feedback on the image attachment limit and password reset issues. Regarding attachments, there is currently a limit on the number of files per issue depending on your plan. We understand how this can be challenging when working with screenshot-heavy tickets.

For any future login or password issues, feel free to contact our support team at support@backlog.com. We're happy to help.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

 ### 14. Streamlined Project Management with Backlog

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cuong N. | Software Development Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I primarily use Backlog for end-to-end project management. Backlog solves tool fragmentation and communication gaps by having everything in one place, eliminating context switching, saving me time, and ensuring every code commit is directly linked to a specific task, making progress tracking seamless. I love visualizing timelines with Gantt charts, which are generated automatically as I input task deadlines, providing an immediate visual of the project's critical path and helping identify bottlenecks before they delay the entire sprint. The seamless knowledge sharing via wiki is another great feature. I also appreciate the 'Star' system as it creates a positive and collaborative environment by encouraging peer recognition, turning what could be a dry task manager into a social platform. The initial setup was surprisingly smooth and fast, which was a relief compared to previous tools. Having Git, wiki, and Gantt charts integrated natively is a massive time-saver and eliminates tool fragmentation. Overall, Backlog is a perfect all-in-one solution for mid-sized teams, offering powerful yet user-friendly features without needing a full-time administrator to manage.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Limited integrations: compared to Jira or Asana, Backlog has a closed ecosystem. It lacks deep, native integrations with modern tools like Figma for design handoffs or Slack/Discord for more granular notification control. The mobile app is too basic.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog solves tool fragmentation and communication gaps by consolidating tasks, code, and docs. It eliminates context switching and enhances tracking by linking commits to tasks. Gantt charts and native integrations save time and make project management seamless.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Cuong,

Thank you for this detailed and positive review, we really appreciate it!

We're thrilled that Backlog is serving as your all-in-one solution for end-to-end project management. It's great to hear how the seamless Git commit linking, automatic Gantt charts for spotting bottlenecks, built-in wiki for knowledge sharing, and the fun 'Star' system are eliminating tool fragmentation, saving you time, and fostering a collaborative environment. The smooth setup and powerful-yet-user-friendly features for mid-sized teams are exactly what we aim to deliver.

On the points for improvement:

- Integrations: We do offer native Slack integration (real-time notifications, commands, and updates directly in Slack).
We also have integrations with Microsoft Teams, webhooks for custom connections, and an open API for deeper automation. No direct Figma integration yet, but you can embed Figma links in wikis/documents/comments.

- Mobile app: We've recently redesigned the iOS app with a much cleaner, faster interface and quick-edit features (Android has also seen updates). If it's still feeling too basic for your needs, we'd love specific feedback on what you'd like to see improved.

Your honest input on these areas is super valuable and helps us prioritize.

Thanks again for choosing Backlog and for the kind words, they mean a lot!

 ### 15. Intuitive Task Tracking for Small Projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Regional Software Engineering Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I find Backlog very easy to use and intuitive. After a quick login, I can get right into the issues and be working within a few seconds. I don't have to jump around between pages or search extensively to find what I'm looking for. I love how Backlog organizes and tracks tasks, allowing me to easily see the status of outstanding tasks, priorities, and timeframes. The client interaction feature is great as it allows clients to approve task completion with full interaction. The initial setup was very easy; I just added members and started adding tasks. I rate it a 10 for small projects with a small team and a small client.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

It would be nice if tasks could be 'released' by version. And choosing a version would show the associated tasks.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog for task tracking and client interaction, which helps with organization and tracking. I see outstanding tasks, priorities, and timeframes easily, and clients can approve task completion. It is intuitive and lets me find what I need quickly without excessive searching.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear James,

Thank you for your thoughtful review, it's great to hear!

We're thrilled Backlog feels intuitive and fast for you: quick login to issues, easy task tracking (status, priorities, timeframes), seamless client approvals, and simple setup for small teams/projects. Giving it a perfect 10 means a lot, we love supporting lightweight, effective workflows like yours.

Thanks for the version/milestone suggestion! Backlog already supports this via Versions and Milestones:

- Create them in Project Settings > Version / Milestone tab.
- Assign to issues, then filter the Issues page or use Gantt charts to view all tasks for a specific version/milestone.
- Mark a milestone as released, it then acts as a tracked Version for completed work.

Thanks again for using Backlog and sharing such positive, constructive feedback!

 ### 16. Intuitive and Effortless Issue Tracker

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naman B. | Associate Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I find Backlog very helpful for tracking the status of unresolved issues and their updates from clients, as well as noting any client remarks. I appreciate how user-friendly and intuitive the UI is, which makes it easy for new users to track and monitor statuses. It's also very convenient that clients and users can register issues with remarks at their own schedule, which helps resolve issues efficiently. The initial setup was straightforward, and around 50 to 60 people use it without any difficulty or gaps in understanding.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

As off now there's really nothing which I have encountered to dislike or degrade about this.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog helps me track unresolved issues and their updates from clients, with user-friendly UI. I can monitor issue statuses and root causes, and clients can add remarks. It's easy to use, connecting users and clients flexibly without needing to be online 24/7.

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin E. | Account Manager | Sport Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I find Backlog to be user-friendly and convenient for submitting support tickets, making it easy to get help for software and hardware issues. The system simplifies tracking and updating tickets, as each ticket is unique with a shareable link, which helps keep everyone in the loop. Additionally, I appreciate the templates for specific tickets that save time by reducing redundant typing. The initial setup was straightforward as well, requiring just my email and a password.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

I think the general UI can look a little clunky at times. That's not to say it's bad, I just think there may be ways it can be a bit smoother and more intuitive.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog for submitting support tickets easily. It's user-friendly and allows me to track and update tickets easily. Unique links make it simple to collaborate, and templates save me time on repetitive tasks.

 ### 18. Intuitive Solution for Issue Tracking and Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wayne H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I find Backlog to be fairly intuitive, which helps me accomplish tasks more quickly and consistently. It allows me to work on each ticket efficiently, and I really like that it makes sharing issues among team members easy. If someone can't address an issue or is out of the office, we can quickly reassign it to another person, ensuring issues are managed and resolved effectively.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

There are a lot of additional tools available at Backlog that we don't use. I don't know if that's because they're not helpful. It's more likely that it's just things that we don't need.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog to track and categorize issues from our health facilities, providing a way to manage and resolve them. It's intuitive, allowing quick task completion and effective team collaboration by sharing and reassigning issues easily.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Wayne,

Thank you for the 5-star review!

We're glad Backlog feels intuitive and is helping you track issues efficiently, reassign tickets quickly, and collaborate smoothly with your team.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback!

 ### 19. Effective Collaboration Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jean g. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like that Backlog allows us to connect multiple members for communication. We can share screenshots, set start and end dates, define types like bugs or tasks, and notify team members, which is incredibly useful. The ability to analyze issues visually with screenshots and track events with dates is a big plus for us. The initial setup was easy since it was done for us.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

I wish Backlog had the ability to increase the amount of screenshots we can share. When troubleshooting and testing, we need to visually track the progress. For our projects, this requires multiple screenshots, and being able to share about 50 would be ideal.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog to connect team members for communication, share screenshots, set task dates, and manage types like bugs or tasks, improving our tracking and visual analysis.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Jean,

Thanks for the 5-star review!

We're glad Backlog is helping your team collaborate effectively with screenshots, dates, task types, and notifications.

We appreciate your feedback on the image attachment limit. We understand this can be challenging when working with screenshot-heavy tickets. Currently, the number of attachments per issue depends on your plan.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

 ### 20. Effortless Ticket Tracking, Minor Attachment Glitch

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mereana R. | Chargée d'études Opérations Aérienne à Air Tahiti Nui, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2024

 ### 21. Backlog Review: What Works Well and What Could Improve

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anh P. | iOS Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

What I like best about Backlog is how it keeps project communication, task tracking, and issue management in one place. It makes it easy to see progress, follow discussions, and stay aligned with the team without jumping between multiple tools.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

What I dislike about Backlog is that some actions can feel less intuitive than in other project management tools, especially when filtering, navigating issues, or tracking detailed updates. It works well overall, but certain workflows could be smoother and more user-friendly.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog helps solve the problem of scattered project information by keeping tasks, bug tracking, updates, and team communication in one place. This benefits me by making it easier to track progress, stay organized, and quickly understand the current status of work without searching across multiple tools or messages.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Anh,

Thank you for the detailed review, it's really valuable feedback!

We're happy to hear Backlog is effectively consolidating project communication, task tracking, and issue management in one place for you. Keeping everything aligned without tool-hopping, while making progress and discussions easy to follow, is exactly the unified experience we strive for, glad it's delivering on that!

We appreciate you pointing out areas where some actions (like filtering, navigating issues, or tracking detailed updates) could feel smoother and more intuitive compared to other tools. We take workflow usability seriously and are always working to refine these experiences based on user input like yours. For reference, Backlog offers robust search and filtering options on the Issues page (simple/advanced search tabs, plus the ability to save custom filters for quick access via global navigation).

Your insights help us prioritize improvements. Thanks again for using Backlog and for the honest, constructive feedback, it helps us get better.

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I use Backlog to organize my daily tasks and manage projects efficiently, making teamwork simple and transparent. I like Backlog most for its clean interface and every task tracking, which makes collaboration smooth and keeps everything well organized in one place. This clean interface saves time and avoids confusion while task tracking helps me instantly see what's done and what's pending so nothing gets missed. The initial setup was very easy and quick, even for first-time users. I also use Backlog along with email and cloud storage to share updates and files smoothly with my team. I rate it a 9 out of 10 because it's simple, reliable, and very effective for managing tasks and projects.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Sometimes the mobile app feels a bit slow, and adding more customization options for dashboards and notifications would make it even better.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog to organize my daily tasks and manage projects efficiently, solving the problem of scattered work by keeping everything clear and centralized.

**Official Response from Joanna Latarska:**

 ### 23. Unified Task Management with Powerful Version Control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** dhathri p. | Student Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like Backlog by Nulab because it's a top-tier project management tool that unifies task management, bug tracking, and version control in one platform. It addresses critical friction points that hinder team productivity and project transparency by consolidating disparate tools. Users highly rate it for its balance of power and simplicity. I find the Unified Version Control feature, with built-in Git and SVN repositories, particularly valuable as it bridges the gap between project management and technical execution, providing a 'single source of truth' for the development lifecycle. Backlog is also praised for its real-time collaboration capabilities, allowing multiple users to update tasks simultaneously with a clear audit trail. The initial setup is quick and easy, especially for teams migrating from spreadsheets or complex tools, often taking less than 30 minutes. The integration of communication tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams for real-time notifications, Jenkins for CI/CD, and LambdaTest for automated bug logging enhances our automated workflow, making Backlog a central hub in project management. Additionally, Backlog generally receives a high recommendation score of 8 or 9 out of 10 for small-to-medium-sized teams and agencies.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

While Backlog is widely praised for its simplicity, in 2026, users have identified several areas that could be improved to better support growing or highly complex teams. Enhancements in automation, reporting, and integration ecosystems are needed. To compete with enterprise heavyweights like Jira and Wrike in 2026, Backlog would need to introduce features that handle complexity without sacrificing its signature simplicity.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog unifies task management, bug tracking, and version control, solving critical productivity and transparency issues by consolidating disparate tools. It provides a single source of truth for the development lifecycle, reducing tool-switching fatigue and offering a simpler interface for non-technical members.

**Official Response from Joanna Latarska:**

> Dear Dhathri,

Thank you for your review, we love to hear our customers feedback! It's great to hear that Backlog helps you in solving critical productivity and transparency issues, and that the simpler interface is useful for non-technical members.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our product as well.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tấn Thuyền N. | MATLAB Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like Backlog's all-in-one workflow integration and find it provides a good balance for technical teams during software development. It's easy to handle the initial setup, and it helps centralize work items, which improves traceability by linking tasks, pull requests, and commits. I also appreciate how we can use it with tools like Slack, allowing us to report daily and share task IDs easily, making team coordination seamless.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

The UI/UX could be more modern and intuitive. Maybe the issues list and filtering feature, and also the task details view could use improvement.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog centralizes work items like tasks and bugs, improves traceability by linking tasks, pull requests, and commits, and integrates workflow for a good balance in technical teams.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

 ### 25. Streamlined Ticket Tracking with Effective Wiki Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I appreciate that Backlog was able to easily configure and handle sending information to both the Git repository and Bitbucket, which was really handy for us. I also really like the little checkboxes in the edit menu when writing up a ticket and keeping track of things. The ease of setting it up and configuring team permissions was a big plus, as I don't remember any major hassles.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

There's plenty of features we don't really use. We only use a stripped-down set of it. Maybe that's the biggest negative, but like I said, no real complaints.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog for ticket tracking, bug fixes, and tracking R&D. Its Wiki is our knowledge base, which helps maintain software.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Michael,

Thanks for your review!

We're glad Backlog is working well for you, especially the easy Git and Bitbucket integration, the handy checkboxes when editing tickets, and the straightforward setup with team permissions.

Thanks for mentioning that you only use a stripped-down set of features. We know not every tool is needed by every team, and that's perfectly okay. We're happy it's serving your core needs for ticket tracking, bug fixes, R&D, and using the Wiki as your knowledge base.

Appreciate you sharing!

 ### 26. Effortless Task Management with Backlog, Needs Multi-Assign Functionality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fiona T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I find Backlog very easy to use and clear, which helps me satisfy the clients I work with. I like adding tickets and keeping track of progress, which makes reporting software and hardware issues to our support team efficient. The initial setup was very easy, and I appreciate how straightforward it is to get started.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

I wish we could assign 2 people/accounts to tickets. We have to assign them to our software team so that they can keep track of open tickets, but because I am not assigned I can't easily view a list of all of mine.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog for reporting issues to our support team, satisfying client needs, and tracking progress with added tickets.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandeep Kumar M. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

What I like best about Backlog is its all‑in‑one project management and collaboration platform that keeps tasks, timelines, and communication organized in one place. It offers visual tools like Kanban boards and Gantt charts that make tracking progress and planning work easy and clear. It also combines task/issue tracking with built‑in version control (Git/SVN) so developers and teams can manage code and bugs alongside project tasks without switching tools

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

• The interface can feel outdated or cluttered, especially compared to newer project tools.
• It offers limited customization and reporting, making it harder for complex workflows.
• The mobile app has fewer features and may not be as smooth as the desktop version.
• Some users find integration options and deep analytics lacking compared to competitors.

These are the main areas where Backlog could improve for more advanced or larger teams.

1.Backlog solves the problem of scattered or unclear work management by centralizing task tracking, project planning, and team collaboration in one platform — so nothing gets lost in emails or spreadsheets.
2.It helps me keep tasks, bugs, timelines, and documentation organized, giving a clear view of who’s doing what and what’s coming next

**Official Response from Joanna Latarska:**

 ### 28. Simple Interface, Powerful Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vard L. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

Simplicity of the user interface compared to the power of the features, price has been good until recently

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Some of configurability of statuses/filters/ etc. Some difficulty in using milestones versus versions. Force to set them both the same for one use case. Price point increases dramatically after hitting a modest storage threshold.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A great issue life-cycle tracking tool for our geographically diverse team. Clean workflow, good searching and bulk actions. Clean integration with our release process.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Vard,

Thanks for your review!

We’re glad Backlog’s simple interface and powerful features are working well for your geographically diverse team, especially for issue tracking, clean workflows, and release integration.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer B.

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I use Backlog for keeping on top of team needs like member transfers, repairs, and requests. I appreciate that with Backlog, issues never slip through the cracks, even when we're busy. Detailed notes can be left quickly for everyone to see, making it a reliable platform for team communication. I like that anything big or small can be posted here to ensure it gets the attention it deserves. It's particularly useful for connecting with team members whose schedules don't often overlap.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog to keep track of team activities, ensuring issues don't slip through the cracks. It allows my team to leave detailed notes quickly, facilitating communication regardless of schedule overlaps.

**Official Response from Joanna Latarska:**

 ### 30. Efficient Project Management with Room for Mobile Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** thang p. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like Backlog for its clear task organization and visual workflow tools. These features help reduce overwhelm, improve accountability, quickly spot bottlenecks, and enable better planning. Additionally, the initial setup was quick and simple.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

I find the limited mobile experience and reporting limitations a bit of a downside. There should be full feature parity between mobile and other platforms, as well as an offline mode. Also, custom reports, export options, and history tracking could really enhance the product's usefulness.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog solves disorganized task management and lack of transparency, helping me with clear task organization and visual workflow, which reduces overwhelm, improves accountability, allows me to quickly spot bottlenecks, and aids in better planning.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Thank you for the detailed review, we really appreciate it!

We're glad Backlog's clear task organization and visual workflow tools are reducing overwhelm, boosting accountability, helping you spot bottlenecks quickly, and improving planning. The fast initial setup is always nice to hear too!

Thanks for the honest feedback on the mobile experience and reporting. We've made big strides recently: The iOS app was completely redesigned in late 2025 (version 3.0) with a cleaner interface, faster navigation, and quick-edit features. The Android app also received a major redesign (version 3.0.1).

We don't have full offline mode or deep custom reporting yet, but we do support CSV/Excel exports from the Issues page and have various built-in progress visuals (Gantt, burndown, etc.).

Your suggestions on feature parity, offline support, and enhanced reporting are very valuable though!

Thanks again for using Backlog and helping us improve!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bùi L. | Back End Developer, Research & Development , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like that Backlog is safe for me to use and that it helps me manage tasks efficiently by setting the time for me, which reduces the time it would otherwise take to manage tasks. The initial setup was quite fast, taking under half an hour.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Actually, I don't think there's anything that doesn't work well, but for improvement, maybe the management, like how you organize the task on the Backlog, I think that's required improvement.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog to manage tasks, reducing the time from two to three hours to half an hour to an hour. It helps set time and effort, avoiding process damage and mistakes.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

 ### 33. Pros and cons about backlog software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nat S. | Software testing manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

Being able to prioritize issues and assigning them to different categories. Also creating different categories to assign issues to.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

There is really nothing that I have found that I can say I dislike about.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that backlog is solving for us, is synchronization between software test users and software developers. Where software users use the software and the software developers fix the bugs that the software users post if they find software bugs

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Nat,

 ### 35. Backlog is the best!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

Backlog is very user-friendly and simple to use. I really enjoy the organizational features for managing different tasks, and I like that I can filter them as needed by status—open, in progress, or closed.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Backlog is great. If possible, I’d love an option to add photos. Sometimes, when there are equipment issues, it would be helpful to see exactly what someone is referring to.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog has helped keep communication clear and organized between staff and management. It’s been super helpful for keeping everyone on the same page.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Thank you for the great review, we truly appreciate it!

We're glad Backlog's user-friendly design and simple organization (with easy filtering by status like open, in progress, or closed) are making task management straightforward for you.

It's awesome to hear it's keeping communication clear and organized across staff and management, that's exactly what we aim for!

On adding photos/attachments to issues (super helpful for equipment issues!): Backlog already supports this, you can attach files (including images) directly to issues or comments.

Thanks again for using Backlog and for the positive words!

 ### 36. Organized Workflow with Some Clutter

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vân L. | Freelance Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like how Backlog keeps everything in one place. Tasks, deadlines, comments, and code stay organized so the team doesn't lose track of anything.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

A few things could be better with Backlog. Sometimes the interface feels a bit cluttered. And for very small projects, it can feel like overkill. Also, notifications can get overwhelming if there are a lot of tasks and comments at once.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog helps me keep tasks organized, track progress, fix bugs efficiently, and collaborate with my team without confusion. I use it to assign tasks to teammates, set deadlines, and track progress without any chaos.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

> Dear Vân,

Thanks for your review! We’re glad to hear Backlog is helping you stay organized, track progress, and collaborate with your team effectively. That's exactly what we aim to support.

We hear you on the clutter. For smaller projects, you can simplify the sidebar by toggling off unused features like Wiki or Gantt charts in Project Settings. On the issues page, you can also select “view options” to hide unnecessary fields. Notifications can stack up fast, but you can adjust them in your Personal Settings to only get the alerts that matter most.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

 ### 37. Seamless Setup, Great for Ticket Management

**Reviewed by:** Ankit A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like Backlog's easy-to-access UX and great features that streamline the issues and product line for ticketing management. Updating tickets or assigning them to users is very quick, which is a huge plus. The initial setup was seamless and didn't require much manual effort.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

I think the filters should be more optimized. I want a search mechanism that will search through all the issues, assignees, and any comments as well.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Backlog for ticketing management; it streamlines issues and product lines, with easy-to-access UX and features making ticket updates and user assignments quick.

**Official Response from Ruth Aparicio:**

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

This app provides support for Markdown, AI

The UI feels outdated and needs a modern, sleek redesign. It currently lacks the ability to add columns to the backlog and customize themes.

Glad to hear Backlog is helping streamline your project management and document workflows, and that you’re getting value from the Markdown support and the AI Assistant.

Thanks for the honest feedback on the UI. We hear you on wanting a more modern look.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!

Nothing right now

**Reviewed by:** ranshal c. | project Co-ordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like that backlog helps me to manage my work. Easy to assign bugs and tasks to team members and I can set deadlines and track progress very easily. Comments and file sharing in each task also helps to solve bugs and tasks faster. Filters and notifications are also good, Notifications which helps to notify team member that work is assigned to you.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Backlog website sometime down and it takes too much time to load.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am project co ordinator and before using backlog it was very hard to manage tasks and track progress of each team member and give updates to my senior. I take update on messages or calls and still there was lot of confusion. Sometimes we missed deadlines and sometimes small tasks was forgot. Bht when we started using backlog problems started solving automatically because everything is simple I just create tasks assign team set deadlines and just keep checking the dashboard that tasks are done or not and now I dont have to give updates regularly to my senior because they can also check everything on projects that what is completed or what is still pending. During meetings i just open backlog and get all updates in of projects and explain everything to my senior.

**Official Response from Diandra Rodriguez:**

 ### 44. Easier way to track bugs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit M. | Quality Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I found that this tool is very easy to use it solves my all the problems which i faced in my work life while doing my testing i have to report bugs. It gives me easier way to report the bugs and assign it. I can track everything and i can explain them the bugs very easy because i can attach screenshots and also comment on tasks. This is the best things i like about backlog.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Yes there are some limited features which i dislike.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am working as a qa i always need to track bugs test cases and progress of fixes and backlog makes my testing smooth because everything is already in place. I create bugs and assign it to developer with full steps and screenshots and i can track the status without asking the developer again. When developer updates the task i get notification from backlog and i can test again and close it or if it has again some issue than reopen it. Backlog also helps in managing test cycles because i can plan tasks based on priority and deadlines then assign to developers even if i have multiple projects or modules i do not feel confused. The comment section is very helpful to discuss the issue and backlog keeps full history so bugs dont get missed or lost overall i can say it saves my time keeps my work clean and helps me in the whole qa process and it becomes faster then before.

**Official Response from Diandra Rodriguez:**

> Dear Rohit,

Thank you for your review! We're glad Backlog makes your QA process smoother and helps with bug tracking and communication. We appreciate your feedback about limited features—feel free to share any suggestions with us by contacting us at: https://nulab.com/contact/

its mobile app is not good as their website.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am handling multiple projects and team members and backlog helped me manage everything. Before this tool i was depending on calls messages to follow task and updates before it was very confusing and i was always asking team members for progress and now i just create task assign person write deadline and check updates directly on backlog. I can see which work is running which is done and which is delayed without asking anyone. ### 46. Good experience with backlog

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Inderjeet S. | Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Backlog?**

I like backlog because it shows all my tasks. I do not have to ask anyone for details because everything is already assigned and mentioned. I can update status write comments and check feedback from qa or manager inside the same tasks. It saves my time and helps me in managing tasks. I use their git feature also to store my code.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

some features are still missing in backlog.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backlog has become part of my daily life routine before using this tool tasks were coming from different sources like teams or excel and it was hard to manage all. Now i just open backlog and all my work is there with full details. I can see what task is assigned to me what is pending. When i finish some tasks i just update the status and everyone knows. I also use comments to talk with qa and manager inside the tasks. Now i do not need to remember anything because backlog remembers everything for me like my tasks my bugs even my code also dont need to use anyother git tool because git is inbuilt feature in backlog.

**Official Response from Joanna Latarska:**

> Dear Customer,

Thank you for your review! It's great to hear that Backlog has become a part of your daily life routine, and that it helps you with managing and tracking tasks.

The simple interface and useful features make my development process faster and reduce my stress. once you start using backlog you will fully depend on backlog, because it makes everything easy for you like you dont need any other git tool and you can comment on tasks if need and dont need to give daily updates to your senior.

**What do you dislike about Backlog?**

Its sites become slow sometimes nothing else to dislike.

**What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a software developer i need to focus more on building and fixing code and backlog helps me do that better
it gives me a clear view of what client is expected from me and what is the current status of all tasks which are assigned to me. I do not have to ask my senior that what i have to done today which tasks are needs to be fixed today everything is mentioned there like which tasks has high priority. The best thing is that i can attach screenshots and comments so everyone can understand. It helps me to handle multiple projects i do not feel work pressure because everything is in detail.

Before using backlog I was writing bugs in microsoft excel and it was not easy to track everything. When we started using backlog I just raise bug with title of the bug and screenshot of the bug and assign it to developer who is working on it. If developer didnt understand then developer can comment on it and i will reply on it. I can also check old bugs easily.
Backlog shows me all open bugs and resolved bugs which helps me alot.
