I appreciate how Backlog provides client transparency into what is going on in a ticket. It stores all the history and related documents in one place, which includes all conversations and approvals. I like that we can add custom fields, making it adaptable to our needs. Integrating it with Teams for instant update notifications is another aspect I enjoy. The switch to Backlog was driven by needing a more modern system that allows unlimited users, has no file upload size restrictions, and supports collaboration with outside organization users. Need more restrictive user roles. There should be more options for access to different user roles, like the ability to restrict access to the Document section or Wiki section, or restrict the ability to update or edit certain fields - customizable. Limitation on the number of Statuses you can add. No major updates in a while. No human online software support. Any suggestiosn put in the Community portal says they will send it to the developers but no updates or fixes are actually being made. Need the Ability to remove standard fields or at least hid, the Issues look cluttered with all the unwanted fields that aren't used. Limit on the issue attachement to 10MB, we use the work around of Files section. We need more notifications to align with our SLA - for e.g if a ticket has not been responded to for more than 2 weeks, or if tickets are left open for more than 30 days in a certain status. This way stale tickets aren't out there, and the required users are notified appropriately. Ability to manually push 1 off email notifications for specific tickets to users even if they haven't subscribed to notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
