What do you like best about Babelway?

What we like most about Babelway is how it combines power and ease of use. The consistent channel structure and drag‑and‑drop mapping make it fast to build and maintain integrations, even across many formats (EDI, XML, CSV, UBL) and protocols. Reusable components such as message types, functions, routing, and lookup tables allow us to scale efficiently without unnecessary rework.

In daily operations, the monitoring and reprocessing capabilities are a major advantage: we can trace every message, quickly fix issues, and reprocess failed messages with minimal disruption. Finally, the support team has proven to be knowledgeable and responsive when we needed help with more complex scenarios, which adds real value in a production‑critical environment. What do you dislike about Babelway?

The main challenge is that its flexibility can also introduce complexity at scale. As the number of channels grows, strong architectural guidelines and governance become essential to keep the environment manageable. Without this, configurations can become harder to oversee.

In addition, the more advanced features such as routing, lookup tables, and complex transformations have a learning curve. While very powerful, these capabilities require experience to use effectively. That said, once this knowledge is in place, the platform proves very stable and scalable. What problems is Babelway solving and how is that benefiting you?

Babelway solves the challenge of reliably exchanging business messages between many systems, partners, formats, and protocols without custom point‑to‑point integrations. For Dexis Belgium, it acts as an integration layer that decouples our internal systems from customers and suppliers.

This benefits us by reducing manual work and integration effort. We can handle different message standards in a controlled way and keep integrations stable even when systems change. "Easy to use and easy to learn cloudbased B2B integration tool - you're in control"

What do you like best about Babelway?

- Cloudbased: No installation needed, just a browser. As soon as you're registered, you can start building the connections. Accessible from anywhere with sufficient security features built in. Regular updates with new features.

- Easy to learn: you don't need to be an IT specialist to set-up connections. Someone with reasonable Excel (formula) skills can set up connections with quite complex transformations after dedicating 2-3 days self-training.

- Collaborative: easy to share setups with other companies/people so the work does not have to be done twice. If you don't have sufficient resources to build connections yourself, you can easily outsource to externals and have them work in your environment directly or in their own environment and copy it over to yours afterwards

- Transparant: whether you set up the connections and transformations yourself or have it done by someone else, you still remain "in control" since you have full access to the setup. There is no "black box" as is the case with other software where you always need to have changes done by (and wait for) the software supplier. You can also see how a file is processed in the different steps

- Great support: the service desk is very responsive and don't just solve the problem but also explain what you did wrong and how they solved it... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Babelway?

Although I'm using Babelway for over 10 years, I still regularily "stumble" into features I did not know yet so I guess Babelway can still improve their communication on all its possiblities/features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Babelway solving and how is that benefiting you?

Most organisations I work with are tired of waiting for the IT Supplier to set up EDI connections with their customers or suppliers. Babelway is so easy to use that it allows for quick setup of connections, even by the people from the business (either as a temporary solution until IT has found sufficient resources or as a final solution). The product is really geared towards those with strong technical background. It does everything the others do, but sometimes the GUI is a bit harder to follow.
