We can build our own infrastructure where we can protect our private networks and also ease of integration. I liked ease of setup, configuration and other use. I am using it very regressively but still having good durability providing me high frequency of use **What do you dislike about Azure VPN Gateway?** I struggled with some data management to centralized it. Also at my region expertise won't be available but thanks for support because support team provieded me some experts to setup my network. I still facing some network issues but it's avoidable as I am getting proper support for each issue. **What problems is Azure VPN Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** I wanted to build by infrastructure at my work location. I researched alot about networking, when I was thinking about my idea to provide best private network infrastructure then I got to know about it. I was impressed with some features like ease of integration, frequently uses & cost effective when comes to my region ### 2. Working at a healthcare system means that things need to be kept secure, like patient information and other private matters. Very easy to setup and quite secure. You just need to download the VPN client and generate a cert to have access to your Azure Network. Very reliable and never has a downtime. We use VPN Gateway to connect to our Azure network when we are out of office. It is also helpful to let connect our consultant. It's very secure and can disable the certificates anytime if needed. **What do you dislike about Azure VPN Gateway?** To generate the certificate it takes sometime. It would be great if that could be done in Azure portal as well.At the moment we generate the certificates via makecert, which is quite old fashion. **What problems is Azure VPN Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** The users are able to connect securely to our Azure environment from anywhere in the world. We are not passing anymore via our intranet in order to connect to Azure. ### 5. I am able to handle confidential information in a protective environment. The ease of access is also crucial as I need the VPN up and running quickly! **What do you dislike about Azure VPN Gateway?** I currently do not dislike anything with Azure VPN Gateway. I can have VPN access anywhere! **Recommendations to others considering Azure VPN Gateway:** I would highly recommend Azure VPN! Do not sacrifice your security. So if you misconfigure the network settings of a VM, you will lose all access to the VM and you will have to restart the whole process of reallocating the VM. **What problems is Azure VPN Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Azure VPN we can create an IPSEC tunnel. ### 7. All the routing/gateway and other information is taken care of (think black box). **What do you dislike about Azure VPN Gateway?** Getting the documentation for connecting to physical on-prem VPN devices is not provided from the portal like it used in the old ASM portal. **Recommendations to others considering Azure VPN Gateway:** If considering Express Route, understand that the VPN Gateway type must be set to Express Route instead of IPSEC VPN. **What problems is Azure VPN Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** Connected on-prem sites to VMs on Azure VNets. It can be network in your on-premise location or another Azure VNet, or even AWS VPC. It uses pre-shared key for authentication and could be connected with most of popular routers, like Cisco or Juniper. It also supports ExpressRoute so if your budget allows this, you can created private and very fast connection using MPLS circuit. Different pricing tiers allows you to get needed bandwith without spending additional costs for features that if even not will use. It is very easy to set up and configure, and very stable. Connection established once is being online for years. It restores connection automatically after failures. It has a detailed documentation where you can find needed parameters of tunnel and even configurations for most popular VPN devices. You can use VNP Gateway for Site-To-Site, Point-to-Site and Multi-Site connections **What do you dislike about Azure VPN Gateway?** Point-to-Site connection requires certificate to be installed on client computer, managing those certificates is a pain with big amount of users, and creating shared one is unsecure. Allows only DH2 usage not all security policies are able to accommodate this. **Recommendations to others considering Azure VPN Gateway:** You can`t change tunnel properties from Azure side, so if your security policy does not allows such tunnels, you can use different SaaS solutions from 3rd party vendors like Cisco or PFSence.
