## Azure Pipelines Reviews
  ### 1. A friendly environment for your code

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan H. | R&D Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

I like the friendly way this code environment is organized for the user, all the menus and all the icons and their functions are pretty clear since the beginning, it doesn't have interminable tutorials that you feel heavy and do you ignore them at the end.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

I don't know if I am the only one with this problem but, the generation of codes wasn't the easier task for me, all the logic begin the code was in my mind clear as calm water, but when I tried to put that in code, it was really hard for me, and I saw all kind of obstacles with the software. like the compilation time, the menus for the variables and all kind of stuff

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Keep your logic at a good state

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All kinds of problems, we design an automatic shop for groceries, the people went there, took an article and automatically the check will be generated to the specific person, connecting the computer with a selling machine, with a system for cards and cash, to make the payment of all the articles.

  ### 2. Enterprise Backlog Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leo R. | Senior Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

I really enjoyed the alignment with best practices in agile/kanban methodologies that VSTS brought to the table, along with the ease of use and administration. Our development operations were all centered around VSTS so it made it a one-stop shop, and since it's Microsoft it could easily integrate with other tools.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

I was on the PMO side of the house in using VSTS, and I had little to no complaints on VSTS in general. Mind you, some of our processes we implemented for VSTS were cumbersome, but that's not on the VSTS side. One thing I will note is that query writing in VSTS isn't as straightforward as it could be and needed a bit of know-how to return the results for the work items, or you needed to go to someone that can write the queries for you.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Heavy process documentation is key for all the users of VSTS, otherwise you can end up with a swamp of work items that aren't being executed. Limit your admins to only a handful and make sure they document their processes too so when they leave it's known why things were setup the way they were. Many individuals will ask for custom fields that are super easy to implement, however they start to bog down the app and lose effectiveness if left unmanaged.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a cradle to grave solution for our development, starting from the requirements we would define to the eventual deployment of the solution. VSTS enabled us to do this, and it also helped to provide visibility to stakeholders on where we were in the process (customers who had access were happy to get updates easily just by looking at the item in VSTS). Lastly, we used it as a communication tool among the devs and the stakeholders, allowing for the communication to be kept in one place for historical purposes.

  ### 3. Azure Devops (earlier VSTS) a complete devops tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prakash T. | Director Of Engineering, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Its backbone of my engineering.
1. Easy to setup and manage software delivery process.
2. Forecasting and capacity management are very easy and traceable
3. The ability to customize work items and workflow
4. Good customer experience
5. Support multiple processes template (scrum, cmmi , agile). We use scrum and agile
6. Rich API
7. Highly secured
8. Integrated with many other tools
9. Many integration solution exist

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Reporting via query : AzureDevops query works for simple query. If i like some computation data like cycle time , its not possible.
Scheduling a report feature is missing.
Alerts and notifications management could use improvement.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Strongly recommends

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast and regular software delivery

  ### 4. Visual Studio 2012 for Microsoft Parallel Data warehouse

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

I use Visual Studio 2012 for Microsoft Parallel Data warehouse. Being a Database Administrator for a retail giant, i need to look at huge amount of history data and analyse and implement best practices to keep the data warehouse up and running as smoothly as possible. Visual Studio helps to do it effortlessly. Be it the robust features or fresh UI, Visual Studio is unmatchable when it comes to providing ease in writing queries or figuring out the fine details of tuning an already existing query. It ticks almost all the boxes 📦 when it comes to being a great app which makes even boring work enjoyable.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

The least helpful thing about visual Studio is the option to select database name in status bar even when it's mentioned in the query given below. Other than that I don't find anything to dislike about this app.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I as a part of a Database Administrator team, use Visual Studio Team services to query the databases in MS parallel data warehouse and analyse history data and come up with solutions to keep data warehouse running smoothly.

  ### 5. One of the best Agile Devops tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Velmajala k. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

The option to customize the types of items and add attributes according to business needs. The feature of designing dashboard for releases and Kanban view is awesome tool to visualize teams work, velocity and burndown visualization is also great. Managing multiple projects and product backlog is also much easier and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

The testplan view is very troublesome and don't have an option to add images in test plans to make it more friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Its really great tool to explore and extract everything out of it.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualizing and document the entire sprint to have an entire view of the team. Implementing pure agile is a piece of cake with VSTS.

  ### 6. Create the Best

Nothing, this product is amazing, every new release this product gets better.
but have no complaints about this software after the update.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a software where to code my programs and one lecturer show me VS when I was for the second year, and since then I do not want to use another program for developing software.

  ### 8. One of the popoular devops tool

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

It is the best devops platform which helps you in continous integration and deployment on cloud VM by creating the pipelines. It supports many version control repositors. There are many ad-ons , tasks and plugins which you can integrate with the azure pipelines.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

It is a bit expensive to be used. If you are from a smaller organisation and trying to immegrate to azure then you may find it as a heavy burden on your shoulders which you cant bear.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

If you are looking for a simple cloud platform for continous integration and deployment of your code not bothering more about the pricing, then go for it

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a platform where you can move your code onto the cloud services and easily integrate and deploy them continously with a very less effort made. It also has many integration options with the other applications and pluggins. The automatic build and deploy feature makes it outstanding from other tools.

  ### 10. VSTS for your Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom H. | Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Visual Studio Team Services (now known as Azure DevOps) is the perfect tool for any software teams using the Microsoft Stack. Its integration with Azure, Visual Studio, and a wide range of other Microsoft products means you can easily integrate it with your entire system. You can set it up with rules for people checking in from Visual Studio, then create an automated workflow to deploy to testing environments, where testers can sign off and have it automatically deploy to UAT or Production environments.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

At smaller resolutions, the user interface can get quite crowded. If you need to present boards from laptops this can sometimes be an issue, but generally it is fine.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

VSTS or Azure DevOps (rebranded name) is definitely a useful tool for managing all your organizational software development needs. You can quickly collaborate, plan, test, build, and release you codebase - all from one place. It can link into every other part of the Microsoft software development stack, meaning you can use it as a central place to manage all you development needs.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visual Studio Team Services has a wide range of offerings, from source control linked to scrum boards, to pipelines and test plans, everything you need to manage a software project can be found on it. I suppose the greatest benefit of this all-in-one solution is just that - this product solves many problems. When you use Visual Studio Team Services, you don't need anything else to manage your software development.

  ### 11. My VSTS Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

This was the most widely used development environment in the company. It's also decently easily integrable with other software such as Azure DevOps or the Git Workflow

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

I could never figure out the newer updates and also some configurations were hard to work with. I would also personally say that the text editor could use some tweaks

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Its a really good tool to manage your code and also manage your installed packages and configurations. One of the best parts for me was the fact that you can integrate it with DevOps and set up pipelines and stuff for running your acceptance tests, unit tests etc.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a good environment for testing your code, running automation scripts etc

  ### 12. Excellent infrastructure to build and host your applications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Visual Studio Team Services is very extensive. By the way. This product has been renamed to Azure DevOps quite a while. It supports full tracking of your work using Scrum boards and burn down charts. A product owner and a team can start with creating epics/feature on the backlog to plan their work. When this is done then you can start a sprint by using the sprint back log board to track your work. Also when you use Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code you can link your code commit with the relevant pbi/task. This can be very handy for tracking purposes.

Also the pull request interface in the web browser is very nice. It works very great because you don't need a separate program for it and it feels fun to work with too. And everybody can leave commit immediately in the web browser. With Azure pipelines + Release you can have continuous integration and releasemanagement on the go. It all works in the cloud so you don't have to install anything.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

The environment changes very fast because Microsoft is working hard to improve the product. That also means that you need to adjust when there is a new update. There could be new buttons with new functionality or the current functionality has been moved somewhere else.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Full application development and release management to push the code to an actual production environment so our users will see new updates on a website immediately.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henry H. H. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

As responsible for managing Visual Studio Team Service, in our institution, I must say that this is the number 1 tool, for development and implementation of projects in.Net, working in a joint way with a group of experts, it is ideal for the management and creation of projects, of all types of users, in a simple and effective way.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

The interface is quite simple, nothing has changed in the last few years, and it seems that they do not try to make significant improvements in this sense, the new generations of development, are not easily conditioned to the robust interfaces, which we have been using years ago, now everything is more intuitive in most software that is used commercially, and to software development applications should apply the same, characteristic.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We administer and review all the new projects that our work table makes, and the different applications developed by teachers and students in the software development laboratories, giving improvement guidelines in each of their different projects.

  ### 20. VSTS is best tool to achieve DEVOPS as well as for source repository.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

We recently implement the VSTS in our environment, the basic purposes that we want to achieve are implement DevOps, project management, project repository, implement group policies and test cases etc. Thanks to VSTS to provide us one window solution for all above mentioned things.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

  ### 21. Emerging DevOps Solution from Microsoft Azure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** TJ J. | Enterprise architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

We recently started using Microsoft Azure Pipeline (formally known as Azure DevOps) as more and more workloads are moving to Azure. Also as we primarily in .net shop, seamless integration with VSTS & TFS, it really made our developers life much easier in building the pipeline and deployment with ease.
It's native container support is one of the best feature in Azure Pipelines. It has best in class integration with Microsoft technology stacks. Best part is, it has easy, convenient and moderately seamless integration option to AWS and GCP too. Giving us an enormous flexibility as far as dependencies on any specific cloud platform is concern. It has cloud hosted agent support to major and popular OS like Windows, MacOS, Linux or Ubuntu.
It also supports multiple source code and version control repos.
Another good feature is integration options to 600 plus (and list is growing) 3rd party tools/channels including GitHub, AWS tools for microservices, Slack, Yarn, Chef and so on.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Not really a big concern or problem but it is slight at expensive side in low scale usage. It also has limited CLI tool options. If you are primarily a CLI person then it may be little frustrating at the beginning.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

I would recommend this product, specially if you are predominantly in Microsoft shop. Having said that, it has good options to integrate with AWS and GCP and integration is moderately seamless. It has option to integrate with 600+ third party products. It supports multiple source code and version control repos. Overall, it's a good product to try.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Support agility by automating continuous integration and deployment using Azure Pipelines (formerly know as Azure DevOps). We are heavy on .Net development, heavy on SQL server as well. Our primary SC solution in TFS. Azure Pipeline's seamless integration with Microsoft technology stack made our life easier in DevOps space.

  ### 22. First choice of DevOps tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehmet S. | Senior Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Recently rebranded from Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines is very intuitive, especially, but not only when working with Microsoft technology stack e.g. Azure, Dynamics 365, Office 365, etc. Microsoft is investing in open source and DevOps more than ever now, this means the product is under development and constantly improving.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Sometimes you may feel the lack of efficient CLI tools. Despite Azure Pipelines offers a vast public REST API, the CLI tools / automation options are mainly community-driven. This is not entirely a con, but it means sometimes you have to invent your own wheel and wrap the REST API.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Definitely try it out. Azure Pipelines is definitely making an impact on DevOps world, it is enjoyable to work with regardless of whether or not you are working with Microsoft stack.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are actively using Azure Pipelines in our Continuous Integration and Delivery processes, as well as product release management. We have seen massive benefits since we're able to track releases and hunt down issues efficiently thanks to the integration with Azure Test Plans, Azure Repos and Azure Boards.

  ### 23. Great for Scrum or Kanban

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

DevOps boards help keep your work organized and in a priority order. I especially like the scrum boards that have WIP limits and alert you when you are over your time limit.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

I don't like that DevOps does not notify you when you have an assigned card or a comment is made on a card that is assigned to you. It's always a game of 'did they respond'. I'd rather be notified.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization uses DevOps heavily for agile development. It's keeping us organized and helps us with clear communication with our clients.

  ### 24. All day, every day

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harish C. | I am an Systems Engineer at Infosys limited, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Being a front end developer, I began coding with Dreamweaver. As I entered the world of business, I had to utilize Visual Studio. When I first used it, I absolutely hated it. But after several years, I fell in love with everything it's offering. It's getting better with each update and I like its add-on apps as it made things easier for me dealing with coding work.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Nothing much to hate. I had to include a plugin capable of disabling the code zooming. I tend to accidently zoom code whenever I scroll upward/downward my current page.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developer tools. Rich IDE with advanced debugging for any OS.
Cloud services. Credits to use in Azure dev/test services, plus collaboration tools.
Software. Access to a huge library of current and past Microsoft software.
Training and support. World-class technical and professional training and priority support

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Interface is really strange, no user friendly,

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Try to understand them, it's not easy at the first time, but it will be in some day.

I like the ease in which we can create user stories, assign story points, priority, and move items along the Kanban board in addition to the integration with outlook and user tagging capability in comments/assignments.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Nothing too strong comes to mind, I'd be curious to know what tutorial videos there are out there to highlight enhanced capability

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Delivering a service to market, separating the tasks into sprints, stories, creating a product backlog of ideas.

  ### 29. Helps to organize my work

  ### 30. User friendly tool for front end application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lalithkumar D. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

This platform helps you take control of projects, informing you how quickly the tasks assigned in the sprint are completed. When was the last commit and who did it.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Well for now the free version, allows maximum 5 users per project, but it should be noted that this tool meets its objective.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform has helped the project leader see how we have advanced in the sprint, if we have any impediment with the assigned task and if it can help us or we need reinforcement.

  ### 31. Visual Studio, production for multiple platforms

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesco D. | web develoer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

The use of Visual Studio for projects with different figures, makes it very easy to interact with the whole development team, since everyone easily accesses the content of their skills.
A great help is the recording of all the changes made to the documents, as it allows to know the history of each file, the author of the modification and it is also possible to leave comments.
Another very useful thing is the ability to compare files modified by team members.
When installing Visual Studio, you can optimize the installation procedure by deciding which components to install to lighten the package on your system, just loading the items you will use.
Furthermore, with support for Xamarin, it's easy to create apps for Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

If team members do not use the same software version, there may be some problems. It is also a bit complicated to access special advanced configurations.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

good for development teams

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The use of Visual Studio, allows easily to centralize all the work of the development team, obtaining benefits related mainly to the time recovered for each team member. Thinking of developing more or less complex projects, without using software like this, it would be really complex.

  ### 32. I can't imagine anything being better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James "Brooks" L. | Xamarin Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

While the interface can be intimidating, you can essentially view anything in any configuration when you need to. The setup enables all types of team members to be effective in the same product. It integrates with our development environments and tracks everything we do.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

It's impossible to show that much data without being a bit overwhelming. Other than that there's not much I dislike about the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

I don't know how you could go wrong with the new DevOps!

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team Services literally enables us to do work. It is highly configurable and we are able to switch gears and processes on the fly. The flexibility has been great for our evolving company. We track all items through the system and it really provides clarity into our code items as they travel through the workflow.

  ### 33. Azure (VSTS) DevOps FTW!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J B. | Senior Director, Product Architecture, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

We are pleased with our software delivery pipelines built with Azure DevOps' modular components. These pipelines trigger automatically to facilitate rapid results for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. The integrations with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code help our developers concentrate on coding features, and letting the tooling handle CI/CD.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

We find that the reporting and dashboarding options are limited, particularly in customizability. Microsoft is improving these aspects of Azure DevOps, but we still find we need to consider other options for individual, team, and roll-up dashboards and reports.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Don't discount Azure DevOps as a Microsoft-only or .NET-only system. It supports LInux builds, which we have been using in our migration to .NETCore.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an ISV, delivering software to customers must be consistent, accurate. We are able to go from code to build to automated testing and release management all within a single tool, Azure DevOps.

  ### 34. New to VS but it works great

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

One of the fastest programs that I use. The dark theme is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

I don’t have any complaints thus far, I am still learning all the features it has

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Keep it up. Seems to work for us!

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team has utilized this software for years and I’ve recently joined up with them to use it as well

  ### 35. good to manage development teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonio M. | Solution Manager and chief development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

The use of Visual Studio in a project with several members (developers, graphic designers, copywriters), greatly facilitates the work of the development team, because each member of the team easily enters the content of their competence; also recording all the changes made is very useful, allowing you to know the chronology of each document, the author of the change and also the possible comment, left by the team member. Also the most useful thing is the comparison between the files modified by the team members.
Microsoft has worked hard on optimizing the Visual Studio 2017 installation procedure: the developer can decide which components to install in order to lighten the package installed on his system, limiting himself to loading only the elements he will use.
Thanks to Xamarin's support, it's even easier to create apps for Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices. In fact, advanced features are available for debugging and profiling so as to identify problems in the use of memory, solve any bottlenecks and lighten the app code before distributing it.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

If you need to find a defect in the visual studio, sometimes it's a little complicated to access special advanced configurations. I also encountered some problems if the development team does not have the same software version.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

good for development teams

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the use of visual studio, we can easily centralize all the work of the development team. The benefits we can obtain are linked above all to the time recovered for each team member. I can not imagine how to develop more or less complex projects, without using software like this.

  ### 36. The new VSTS is new and improved.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James J. | Coder, Programmer, Web Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

The fact that you can do and control so much of the product workflow right from the same dashboard. There is no more bouncing between sites and having to maneuver all over the place to keep up with your code, time, and wiki pages.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

It is vast and takes a while to get a grip on all that is available or offered within the VSTS dashboard. And, where it is new, there are a lot of frequent updates to it, so you can lose track of workflows.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

If you are an agile development agency or using agile workflow and controlled source repositories, VSTS is a wonderful tool.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work as an agile development studio, so the VSTS DevOps have provided code tracking, time tracking, and documentation of the various assets for each project.

  ### 37. Reliable and constantly improving

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

List your requirements first.
Then use trial account to verify match.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps delivery team members work together smoothly. Work items at various levels are easy to use
Source control for devs
Continuous integration and deployment
Test automation

The themes like light and dark and the tools like SSDT , business analysis ,azure service , easy to use and also build structure using intelligence and connection parts , easy to connect to other services through minimum step's of code

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

When we change the file name it doesn't reflect in all files and it's corresponding pages . The version conflict error which it takes so clumsy that we can't easily identify where both are reference to one particular obj.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are doing banking application and use of it is so comfortable and also easy to debug and run.

  ### 39. The best tool by Microsoft that helps to instantly build, test and deploy code on cloud

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddhant W. | SDET Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

It is a great platform that helps to push data onto the cloud and process it easily.
The overall user interface is pretty impressive and easy to use.
The reliability and security of this platform is speechless, especially being built by Microsoft.
It uses the concepts of CI and CD for project deployments, which are latest in the market and can be implemented by most corporates.
It is really simple to build code using GIT and other version controls, deploy code onto Microsoft Azure and test them.
Apart from this, the various resources that Azure provides is remarkable.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

It is really heavy on the pockets i.e. expensive as Microsoft charges for every service being consumed on Microsoft Azure platform while they are running.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Awesome product by Microsoft

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Structure code, process faster on cloud and generate reports of data instantly.

  ### 43. Review on visual studio

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greeshmanth J. | Systems engineer , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Visual studio is that you can extend the software capability to many other areas. Using Team foundation Server (TFS) from visual studio one can store code and perform revision control with different change-sets. It is a very strong tool to also compare codes between different change-sets or with the directory on the desktop.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Visual studio is big, massive and will require some powerful machine in order to not feel like the computer is lagging. Usually I shut off all my applications if I am working on VS.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

computer programs, websites and mobile apps.

  ### 45. Top Notch software for project creation, development and management!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Without a second thought, Microsoft Visual Studio Team service DevOps is the best and I guess the most preferred IDE software in the market which provides a complete suite for source code control, package management, build, testing and release automation to continuously integrate, test, deliver and monitor your application. Said that, best part about using VSTS is that it's now also available on Azure cloud making it easy and right away to use with least efforts to setup and one can connect anytime anywhere. Another thing ,I would appreciate is it's rich integration be it GitHub or Subversion
you get an open ecosystem to integrate and connect. This availability of software makes you connected to your work on the go.Without a second thought, Microsoft Visual Studio Team service DevOps is the best and I guess the most preferred IDE software in the market which provides a complete suite for source code control, package management, build, testing and release automation to continuously integrate, test, deliver and monitor your application. **What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

What I didn't like about VSTS Devops is that unlike TFS it doesn't support SharePoint server Or project server. And neither, process template customisation is available as yet.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been involved into business problems such as merging the code and combining in into a a full fledge Application using TFS and now VSTS Devops environment and maintaining the code in a centralised repository that helps in faster development & deployment of the Process.
Benefits I have realised while working on this project but not limited using VSTS are :-
1. It allows the flexibility to create group and add members to that group. This allows the team to be connected and allows the access to the code centrally by the team.
2.Ww could setup individual code branch for developers, so that they can manage proper coordination between developers.
3. Can create project repositories that enables to maintain and control each development version.

  ### 47. Pipelines to streamline your DevOps deployments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Supports multiple repo sources and has the ability to deploy to many options, some of which are not Microsoft owned, Azure, AWS, GCP, to name a few. This gives us the flexibility to switch over to different cloud options easily.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Nothing, in particular, stands out as we didn't have any issue setting up Pipelines and we only need the ability to get the source to the distributor. There hasn't been any business need to go into the extra features offered on Pipeline.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Integrates well with Azure DevOps (aka. VSTS).

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to be able to switch our app distributor and we can do this with Pipelines easily and quickly. This gives us the ability to build iOS apps on the cloud wherever we find the best fit for us.

  ### 48. Very Useful When Working on a Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) is very useful when working with a team of developers. I personally work remotely so this tool is useful with keeping track of source code check-ins and what each team member is working on.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

I don't think there is anything that I necessarily don't like about VSTS. But recently Azure DevOps has replaced it. I do like the new user interface with Azure DevOps, seems to be more intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

Personally, I would suggest using Azure DevOps now because is being replaced by it.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VSTS has helped provide a way for myself and other developers to stay in sync with one another's work in a quick and efficient way.

a Modern software for tracking items such as bugs, user stories, features and we have the testing lab in this software whereas before we had to use TFS and MTM separately

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

Sometimes freezes but besides that nothing

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Pipelines:**

It’s worth it! Bette tracking

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Abhilash M. | Senior Software Engineer, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Pipelines?**

VSTS Devops is more powerful compared to other devops tools we get in market. You can looks for solution at one single place for many of the problems in your devops lifecycle.

**What do you dislike about Azure Pipelines?**

The devops engine is a little complex and not so friendly for someone shifting the base from open source systems.

**What problems is Azure Pipelines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VSTS Devops is very streamlined and connected to all the Sytems. You can find and fix the security and quality issues with your code by not switching to any other developement platforms. With .Net core the system provides more opportunities to connect to the other programming world.
