Azure Media Player is a free service for Azure Media Services customers, which is the first pro for this software, but there are several more as well. Azure Media Player is pretty streamlined and functions well. Commands are simplified and equipped with automatic fallbacks to provide smooth operation and save time and frustration.

My favorite function of Azure Media Player is how it automatically optimizes playback by choosing the best available format for each device. That solves potentially time-consuming issues before they even happen. It has HTML5 playback with Silverlight and Flash fallbacks which further optimizes its functionality and avoids snags in your streaming.

Basic knowledge of HTML is quite enough to get started with Azure Media Player, which is great for people like me who don’t have a complete mastery of HTML, but more of a working familiarity.
