What problems is Microsoft Azure solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is an combined bundled cloud platform to manage your services or instances. And when it comes to organisation having windows machine in Ad like ours, then it becomes very easy to manage all the IT or devops stuff. We can manage our VMs, cosmos DB, Kube services, various resource groups- according to projects, blob storage services etc. from an single platform. It also have its data centres across globe and its market share continuously increasing which make it popular among others. And for security it always set on high as it have azure key vault, defender which continuous check for any vulnerabilitis and you can remidiate them accordingly. What do you like best about Microsoft Azure?

- Azure has vast varitiy of serivces, be it PAAS, SAAS, or IAAS, so depending on your solution needs you can choose your prefered option.

- Integration with 3rd party tools is easier to implement and secure with OAuth 2.0 approach (based on Azure service principal)

- Do you want to host a simple static website -> just use Storage account, or VM, or App service, choice is yours!

- Facing any issues with any of the implemented solution? Just get in touch with Microsoft support (you need to have the basic support plan) and they will help you to sort out the issue in the best way possible.

- The Azure portal interface is simple and easy to use, resource are grouped using resource groups, so segration of Environments can be done on Subscription and resource group level.

- Analysing the cost is easier at scope of resource group or subscription level.

- There are multiple ways by which you can monitor your application and setup alerts as per your solution's requirement.

- Permission management & assignment is easier with Role based access control.

- Being a frequent user of Azure for more than 5 years, I would highly recommand the use of Azure for your next solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Azure?

- For most of the services they provide good SLA, however if there are any issues, eg. Network timeout for consumption based logic apps, Azure Data factory, then even if we contact the support, there is a high chance that the support team may not be able to provide you detailed log info, and you have to implement a retry or some sort of workaround.

- Sometimes due to temporary outage of services, alert firing might be missed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Azure solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft Azure has highly available services, due to which hosting a solution is easier, and mainly that means you can access it from anywhere in world, this means less of maintaince, making sure of the hosting services are up or not, and more of actual work that can be done!

Compared to other cloud platforms some of the solutions are cheaper / simply better on Azure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Azure?

Switching to Microsoft Azure from our On-Premise environment has been one of the best decisions of our Organisation. Its easy to understand and implement features has been the highlight for me. Along with this, the customer support of Microsoft Azure is available 24/7 either via chat, email or even a phone call. In my work, I have to use Microsoft Azure on a daily basis. Initially it was scary to switch to cloud but Microsoft Azure has helped us to easily integrate our work to cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Azure?

There's actually not much to dislike about the Microsoft Azure, but if I had to choose something that could be made better is the cost which Microsoft charges. Although all the cost is justified by the product, but it is still not easy for small business to afford this cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Azure?

One of the best features I like the most about Azure is High Availability and Uptime. In addition, it has Increased stability and is very cost-efficient among cloud providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Azure?

According to me, the major and common issue everyone feels is the complexity of the Azure platform. The second thing is the Data Transfer fees it takes for the backgroud In-Out data flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Azure solving and how is that benefiting you?

The major feature of Azure is compounding all the resources and configurations under a single window is one of the best features. Most of the tasks while deploying can be taken care by Azure itself. I feel that Azure is having most of the security parameters and recommendations feature that other Cloud providers don't provide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Azure Compute?

Microsoft Azure Compute is a really useful for virtualization of computing services. It's server less architecture, and scalability helps businesses not to incur huge costs for On premise systems for hosting their products and applications.

It uses Kubernatics to manage containers to run web services, and thus makes it easy to manage multiple apps. Batch processing is also one major use. It's usually a bit complicated to be implemented and specially it's difficult to transition from legacy code base to cloud based, and the dependencies often create problems. However Azure has excellent customer support and sometimes for big organizations dedicated resources to help and manage these services. However once set up, it's easy to use and manageable through one single portal. Integration with other softwares often poses a problem but Azure support often helps, and more importantly Azure offers almost all tools for a complete Application, starting from Business, to Agile boards, Test Management, CICD, Reporting. Once a business is transitioned to a cloud based platform like Azure, frequency of use is daily by everyone for all of these purposes by all stakeholders and maintain complete visibility and transparency of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Azure Compute?

The downside of Azure Compute is that it is sometimes complicated to be set up, specially when transition of services from on prem to cloud based is done. Also, cost of using is also good, but spending that amount is always better than all the benefits like scalability, maintenance on prem systems, etc are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Azure Compute solving and how is that benefiting you?

Azure Compute helps in Cloud based computing, hosting, scalability of software solutions and ease the CICD pipelines for the software deployment. It helps in reporting for test management, accurate tracking of work, repository batch process, and everything an organization might need in technical support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
