Azure Active Directory (AAD) and its recent acquisition of Entra is an excellent Identity provider solution that offers a comprehensive range of features in one place. The solution comes with extensive documentation, making it easy for users to become experts in using its products. With its diverse range of features and user-friendly interface, AAD and Entra provide an efficient and effective way to manage identity and access control for organizations. One downside of Microsoft Azure Active Directory is its licensing, which can be confusing for some users. While some features may appear to be available with certain license plans, it's not always clear which plan is required, such as P1 versus P2. This lack of clarity can be especially challenging for customers who are not familiar with the licensing structure, as it can lead to issues with features such as conditional access and identity risk. However, with the assistance of a consultant or proper research, users can determine which license plan is required for their desired features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microsoft integration is great as is the convenience of the mobile app. The added security and peace of mind dual authentication provides is worth the extra step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel there are better choices available for dual authentication that more easily integrate with multiple platforms. Likewise, passwords always seem to be out of sync with Authenticator making periodic password change's frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Allows me to access multiple cloud locations in my job securely and through multiple devices in a fairly easy and secure process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can be an extra step for sign in sometimes when in a rush but worth the security Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is totally integrated with the Microsoft ecosystem. Enable users to have a better access to almost all applications and simplifies the support needed from technical teams and Service Desk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Over time organizations are becoming more dependent on a single provider, in this case Microsoft. Dependency risk is never good and takes away power in negotiation processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a cloud-based identity and access management service, it provides SSO (single sign-on) , multi-factor authentication (MFA), mobile device management etc. to access restricted resources across critical services (both Microsoft resources as well as third-party services) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not affordable services. Some of the desired features are available only in P2 plans and not in P1 plans. Moreover, the official documentation needs a complete revamp as one find it difficult to integrate Microsoft Azure Active Directory with the web apps solely basis the documentation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft Azure Active Directory helps businesses in managing user passwords and employee authorization. It is very easy to use and ensures that only the right people have access to certain resources. Overall AAD is a reliable and secure Identity Access Management Tool. The initial setup of AAD is a task and requires proper training. Besides this, there is nothing to dislike about AAD. All features work perfectly well to meet the organization's requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

like being able to manage my computers and systems in the cloud without the need for an onsite server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microsoft support is lacking at times. It is difficult to schedule time with them when I am free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AAD is a powerful tool for working with IAM inside of Azure. I like that I can replicate my on prem AD to AAD and can then build Azure specific groups that give my users permissions to objects inside of Azure, such as virtual machines or log analytics workspaces. AAD also gives the ability to implement Privileged Identity Management, which can be useful for just in time access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In the 2 organizations that I have worked in, writeback from AAD to AD is not enabled by default and so some groups in Azure do not exist on prem. There could be a better transition from going on prem AD to AAD and replacing on prem AD altogether. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
