It is Exellent Option for small and Midsize companies who is looking for moving on cloud with their on-prem file services. it is very safe and flexible to deploy based on the requirements. I have recently moved our Company's on-prem data to Cloud successfully with improved performance. initially, we were looking for some third party storage Management solution where we will have backup, point in time snapshots and security. we found the solution but the cost ways high. it was costing the solutions somewhere around $40000/year which looks huge. we start exploring the features on azure files with azure file sync. it exact match the our requirment with less the 1/4 of the total third party solution. it doesn't provide global file locking facility. I have deployed the Azure FileSync Agent with Cloud Tiering enabled. when i open a file from AZ Sync Agent 1 and same file can be opened from AZ Sync Agent 2 and can be edited. whoever saves last will be overwrite first saved data.
