AWS CodeDeploy for me is one of the best and most affordable tools to use to create a full-functioning pipeline. It being part of the AWS family makes it even better because now I have an in-house solution without worrying about data transfer restrictions and security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The thing I hate most about AWS CodeDeploy is the complexity it comes with. I work with CloudFormation as well, and to figure out a way to make the right JSON file and IAM permissions are a bit of a hassle, and so needs to have a learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are using AWS CodeDeploy to deploy the containerized application inside the fleet of ec2 instances. The setup is very easy as we just have to add the scripts required for pulling the updated container images and running. We can choose multiple deployment strategies like one-at-a-time or all-at-once. We can also restrict the traffic from the load balancer to the instance which is going through the deployment process.
