I really like how i can set another EC2 to compile lanes of code while i am working on other thing, that saves so much time, another good thing about AWS CodeBuild is how it is integrated with other tools, i don't have to configure anything, just need use the tools, and focus on improvements. The control version can be confusing, even the panel, but there are guides to help to understand it. The price of use can be a bit high if you use it everyday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Writing CodeBuild scripts in a YAML format is fairly straightforward as long as you're working in a fairly basic sense. Not having to stand up a server for builds is awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Complicated build tasks are harder to get right and start correctly. Also, the documentation pieces feel fragmented; steps are separate from what is allowed in each step, and the overall experience feels poor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like this tool because it helps me with the overhead of overall configuration.I like how i can set another EC2 to compile lanes of code while i am working on other thing. That reduces the time for me. I like how well it is configured with everything on AWS platform so I don't need to worry about configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it fails to work the way I want it to work. There are some thins that I wish I could customize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have found almost nothing Jenkins can do that CodeBuild cannot. In fact I find it easier to use overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Teaching the developers how to write the yml can take a bit of time, but in the end I think they like how it puts the power in their hands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it can be integrated to maby work environments, for exemple Github. You're only charged for the services you use, so that's also a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is... Quite difficult to use. I've rarely seen such poor UX design. It does the job, but it feels very unsmooth and hard to use and to get used to throughout the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What my team enjoyed the best about CodeBuild is its efficiency improvement for sprint stories dev work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to implement and start a build. It is very flexible and allows for various types of build scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lacking in documentation and how-to examples. When learning there is a limited amount of resources available to do specifc tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
